  • And btw, when ever I see this video and u get something important, I go like oh...

  • Lol at 0:57

  • Nice wall jumping skills!

    And thanks for the video

I was stuck on this part =D

  • That's strange...I found the power bombs in other place. Is that normal?

  • ugh, norfair got really annoying after a while. lol although i'm starting to think maridia will top it. XD

  • i flipin did kraid without spaser or charge beam and only 1 super misssile left

your a bloody good player though

  • why don't you mockball to get ice beam?

  • i havent watched ur video yet (im about to) but just in case if u didnt know theres a way to get the ice beam before the grapple beam. i cant rly explain it but i always get it before the grapple.

  • @nyahman2 I thought that was the correct order

  • @SoraXKokiri nah ur spose to get the grapple first then use it to get the ice beam but i usually get it if i have enough life to survive the heat or right after i get the varia

  • @nyahman2 you don't need the grapple at all to get the ice beam. You can get it right after you get the super speed thing...to cross those doors that close when you get near.

  • @SoraXKokiri yea for sure id rather not get the grapple ever, which is possible but u dont even need the speed booster to get the ice beam either u dont even need the varia suit u just need to be able to do the mockball

  • This is like...straight pwnage, you're one of THE best Metroid players I've ever seen

  • I've been playing this on an emulator recently. Now I know why I can't make it through the area shown at 18:34 and where you're supposed to get the other weapons needed to break down walls. I also didn't realize that there were so many hidden goodies. Then again this doesn't surprise me, because I've played the original Metroid.

  • i fail at the wall jump at 11:00 ..is there another way?

  • i just managed it. that's a pretty tough one though

  • im failing at that too :( did you find another way?

  • just practice youl get it

  • 9:05 - You make it seem so easy...

  • I get them in the same order. It really does speed up the process of Norfair.

  • how do u do the wall kick?

  • thats what i love and hate about metroid theres so many places to explore.

  • super metroid OWNS!!!!!

  • Thanks for the video. I don't know why I watched it, but it caught my eye and I sat here watching this for twenty minutes. All the items you found, that's really strange because a lot of those areas I don't remember. Take the Ice Beam and the Grappling Beam for example.

  • At 4:13 was that a dead Troopewr?

  • i'm playing on the wii version with a gamecube controller and i cant do wall kicks

    wtf

  • Ih80TAKUS

You can wall jump im not sure if you have finally figured it out yet, because its been six months since you posted. But you can also use the mock ball to it seems everything is still the same as the original Super Metroid.

  • Dude, you just saved me from suicide. Ever since I was a kid, I always made that jump you made by doing that charge-up squat and shoot diagonally. Actually, I always had to get my friend to do it. You can actually jump that shit? Thank you so much!

  • Great Video! BUT Grapple beam isnt necessary at all. Draygon can be easily taken down without it. One more thing is u can mockball to get ice beam upon entering norfair with the varia suit.

Anyways, nice job(im sorry about the criticism.)

  • Grapple makes Draygon SOOO much easier imo, I prefer the trick with the Grapple over the standard method. That's just me though.

  • BEST. GAME. EVER. PERIOD.

  • Amen to that! No other Metroid game beats this one!

  • .....No.

  • prime 3 is awsome but this is better

  • this is the best!

  • not

  • nice. i've doneit that way just never thought of it as a short cut. i didn't get the spazzer beam though till i went back that way. lol. this is probably my favorite game all time. i've always been missing something aong the way. for some reason. most i ever got was 99% weapons. and 100% map. -.-

  • It does look like that doesn't it.......although it's propably just his gots or something who knows =D

  • Those aren't X parasites, I think they're small insect-ish creatures feeding on the corpse. If they were X, they would have attacked Samus considering their nature.

  • yes true, but on the other hand, they already were in a host organism, so thus they had no reason to. tbh, it still looks like an x infected GFS soldier to me :P but thats just me.

  • I think the one other detail that determines this, is that if I remember correctly, X parasites only exist on planet SR388, however, that doesn't mean they can't exist elsewhere, but I think that factor is pretty important.

  • This video has helped me shave off at least 15 mins of my normal score. Good job man.

  • hard to believe in 13 years there has not been 1 game that could top this one

  • got my wii 2 weeks ago and last week got 1000 points and downloaded this and its the best vc game i think so far ( if u played or have the nintendo 64 games).

  • 2 weeks ago!!! i got mine dec-28-2006, my

    b-day. no mean to brag

  • yay u got the varia suit!

  • You're supposed to get the ice beam, grapple beam and power bombs before wave beam? I guess I unintentionally sequence break'd then.

  • If you look at it, you're intended to get the ice beam so you can climb the brinstar shaft for power bombs, which you use to open the path to the grapple beam, which you use to get to the wave beam. That was the intention, but the single wall wall jump throws a wrench into that.

  • hey thanks for making this video! it helped me out alot! i was stuck on norfair until i saw this video.

  • How do you get past the part at 11:02--11:05?????

  • This def a very gltichy video. AT 11:19 you shoot right through the door and hit the lock. Thats just not possible. You also shoot the dragon things while theyre still in ground. Also not possible.

  • Neither of those are a glitch, in fact, both of those are the result of the Wave Beam. The Wave Beam is supposed to be able to shoot through walls, which in turn, allows a player to shoot the dragons underground and hit door locks from the wrong side.

  • That's not at 11:19, that's at 12:19 where I shoot the shutter from the other side.

  • Whats with the monster in the wall at 1:50? Is it of any significance or just a statue?

  • its like entering a lair

  • I'll keep all this in mind when I finally get Super Metroid.

  • The wave beam was the first thing I got in Norfair I think. I used bomb jumps to get it.

  • Wow, you've got skill!

  • you wanna see skill ill show u skill

  • Very well then. I'm waiting...

  • ok ill make a vid responce in about an half an hour im working on line rider right now

  • cool

  • hahaha nice kraid down in pretty much 2 shots

  • More like 5

  • isnt spazer the same as wide beam?

  • Spazer is a cooler name though. But, yeah, they are the same, spazer just isn't as self explanatory as wide.

  • why do you use Y for shoot the best emulator controls i use are: (KEY/BUTTON) E=up d=down s=left f=right i=X o=A k=B j=Y u=L p=R Its easy i made this up and it mkes sense cause your fingers can be on the little bumps telling you home row
  • USE X FOR SHOOT

  • First of all, I've got my emulator configured to a Logitech Dual Action PC Controller, which is essentially a PS2 controller, easily molded to SNES controls. Second, Y is configured to shoot since I grew up on Megaman games, and where the Y button is is where I was used to shooting.

  • What were the things at 19:40? They look like X.

  • this might be a little far off of a request, but can you make a speedrun/walkthrough help movie('s) about metroid zero mission? i have had the game forever and still can't do crap on it, and you obviously have the know how on metroid. if you don't have gba, there is an emulator and ROM for the game thats easily accesible. ty!

  • I haven't played zero mission to dealth like I have Super Metroid. I don't know all the tricks in that game like I know the tricks of SM. Sorry.

  • ive been doing things on super metroid ever sence i found the wall jump and out of all of it i luv the sequence break the best its just so fun

  • Nice job man. I like these videos of people just playing the game, rather than trying to be the best or the fastest. Plus, watching anything Super Metroid sequence breaking related is cool. That's how you have fun with the game! And to think it's all possible just because of that one move- the wall jump. Cool video.

  • You've got a lot of work to do my friend. You can kill Kraid with 4 super Missles if you do it right. before he even goes up. But, you did a ok job. Ive yet to see any thing extra fancy. :/ keep workin !

  • nice

  • znes pwnds

  • Very nice. But I think Super Metroid was meant for the player to be able to choose whichever powerup he wants in what order.

  • The super metroid sequence break; truly a thing of beauty.

  • Dang it. I posted a video almost exactly like this. Now its not original...

  • It was never original, neither was this one, if you watch the speed run video that's on YouTube, the person uses better techniques than I did.

  • how do you wall jump?

  • Spin Jump at a wall (jump while moving), then when you hit a wall, while still spinning, press the oppisite direction, and jump at the same time. With practice, you can use the wall jump to climb single walls and get to areas that aren't supposed to be accessed yet.

  • I managed to get the wave beam before speed booster, but I suppose it doesn't matter.

  • You can get either at the same time, you don't need either to get either. I usually get Speed Booster first out of habit though.

  • this is for another system but not for snes eh?you playing with the xbox?

  • ZSNES, but no extra cheats. I don't have a VCR, so I can't tape it off my real copy.

  • very poor... my granma can do such things

  • i gotta practice that wall jumpin...

  • i'm not sure how, anyone have any advice?

  • just takes practice...timing..im not bad at it. but if you watch that guy do super metroid speedrun thing in like an hour or whatever....hes a freakin pro

  • You mean she.

  • Just as well you had those energy tanks, or you would've been screwed big time.

  • TheNewerGuy, thanks so much! I've recently tried playing this, (since last night) and got stuck in Norfair, and seriously thought I had to restart, because of the heat and whatnot, and I went through a walkthrough, it didn't tell me much, but seeing you do it made it easier to know where to go. Thanks again.

  • you would save a lot of time if you managed to get the power bombs first.

  • Yes, but climbing that part of Brinstar without the ice beam is a pain in the ass.

  • aww damn and i thought this might be a no boss run

  • I'm not that good, I mean, I know plenty of shortcuts in the game, but I can't seem to master the techniques to skip the bosses.
