@TehMw3Pwnzer Because water is a minimal energy substance. U can't react water with very much to get energy out of it. Most likely that car was running on energy from a normal electric battery with the water playing some wasteful intermediate role. Who knows. Scam.

@1crazyfocker Thanks for all the explanations but why the car industry don't release hybrid-solar battery vehicles once the technology for this is already good and known for so many years..! Interesting at least.

@marceufilho but its not a treat, right now solar cells cost any where from $10 to $100 a watt. and the cheaper ones are the least efficient, meaning you need a lot more of them. now add in the cost of the batteries, even the cheapest out there, then add in the weight of the cells, batteries, and the efficiency of the car is cut by over 50% with a cost of over $150,000 it just wont sell. the science just is not there yet for it. but it will catch up one day. just not today.

Would really be nice to have this in a mobility scooter never have to worry about your batterys running out of power just top up with a point and your off agen
yeah am pretty sure this is a scam. or at least they are lieing about how it works. lets use logic and how they said it works. it uses water then takes the hydrogen (well cant get just hydrgen from water it would be H2 and O2 not just H and leave HO) then they say it uses the hydrogen from the water to "releaseing" electrons...we use electricty to "split" water for a reason, you need to add an electron to the atoms since thy share one. there are no extra elecrton --cont
no extra electrons in H2O to be "released" so its clear that it does not wor at all the way they say it does....I bet if it does work at all that its nothing more then the oldest type of battery. (the first batteries made were water batteries) were the electrodes being different metals in a water battery will split the water oxidizing the electrodes and releaseing hydrogen. and to make that much power and go thru that much water --cont
making that much power and going thru that much water would mean that they are eating thru the electrode very fast...like a normal battery the faster you can release the "power" the faster it will decay. so i bet you have to replace the elecrodes ever 50 to 100 miles and i bet like most high power batteries electrodes they are made of pricey and environmentally damaging materials.... plus i could not find any patent doc of this in Japan or US. willing to bet its useless.
@Bossalinni13 that proves nothing. a patent made by a proven and convected fraud (look it up) that was granted before the PTO put a stop to all the BS ideas. basicly this, if any idea is to be patented that claims some form of OU, Magnet motor, "free energy" or PMM, then in order for a patent to be granted a working model must be built and tested. plus that has nothing to do with this idea at all, no claims of electrolysis which is exacly what meyer car was, thus why he was sued. so scam.
@1crazyfocker so i guess im not sure what your saying, are you saying this model is a scam, or are you saying this model and meyers model were both fraud, never worked, and never could?
@Bossalinni13 Meyers was and is a scam, and this one, is like what i said above, is most likely worthless. basicly a water battery, now thats just useing logic, from the way they explain how it "works" like i stated already, water need electrons to be added to it for it to "split" now the first batteries "water batteries" used the electrons from the metals in the electrodes, to "make" elec,/and H2. but is completely inefficient and goes thru electrodes hella fast, so worthless and costs to much
@1crazyfocker ok i get ya, there are just so many other videos on here that explain how his fuel cell works and another guy that used the same type of water fuel cell for a torch, he also made a gas water hybrid car. Guess i would have to know more about physics before i could make any assumptions. thanks for the reply
@Bossalinni13 i made that comment bc this is the first i have ever heard of something like this. all those other ones are the biggiest scam of them all, the so called "HHO" which its not, 1st HHO is water, the gas released is H2 and O2, not HHO. 2nd all of those videos are, no matter how they try to turn the phase, electrolytic cells (not fuel cells) useing normal electrolysis, that the best you can get out is 50% of what you put in. this how ever is claiming to get elc and H2 from water, -cont-
@1crazyfocker HHO isn't water. It's a name for Water that was split into H2 and O2, but not separated physically (Not a good idea, BTW, since any spark will make it explode, as it need no more oxygen than it already has.) and yes, it's confusing and pointless, especially since, as you said, it forms h2 and o2, not h2 and o, as the name implies. It does contain energy, though.
Still need to make it become "HHO" by pumping in electricity first though. The energy does come from somewhere.
@falconsbride wow you are all kinds of confused. HHO was a name created by ppl that had no idea what they were talking about, by scammers. when water goes thru electrolysis it creates 2x H2 and O2 and yes it does create it separately. hydrogen forms on the cathode (pos electrode) oxygen forms on the anode (neg electrode), the idiots that came up with the name HHO are the ones too stupid too figure that out and keep them separated. now if it needs more O2 then how will it explode? -cont-
@falconsbride -cont2- it has all the oxygen it needs, bc burning or explodeing is rapid oxidation, hydrogen only needs 1 oxygen for every 2 hydrogen atoms. when it burns/explodes it creates water H2O, it has the perfect amount of O2 when made to burn/explode no outside source is needed. yes it contains the 50% of the energy that you put into it to create it. but thats not a power source which i already stated, it more like a very inefficient battery.
@1crazyfocker God damn, I hate all the science illiteracy in this world. People just don't seem to understand electrolysis and conservation of energy.
that why useing logic it sound like a simple water battery, with a fuel cell (a real fuel cell that turns H2 and O2 in to electricity, but once again only 50% at best of what you put into it) for the hydrogen gas released from the oxidizing of the electrodes. so a more efficient water battery, but hell with the cost of the electrodes (that wear out fast) and the low output of elec and H2, basicly makes a great science fair project but worthless over all.
I don't think this is a scam why the hell can't we make a car run on water. Fuck you Big oil, your not fooling anyone all oil companies are in bed together a bunch of homo's.
Wise up, people. This is a scam. It's not a new one either. So called "water fueled cars" have been perpetrated by con men many times in the past.
These con artists are basically taking advantage of the general public's lack of knowledge of PHYSICS. This sort of engine is PHYSICALLY IMPOSSIBLE. It would violate both the 1st and 2nd laws of thermodynamics.
@BlargVison Im getting so annoyed by idiots like you. This is really serious problem = censorship and you act as this was a simple joke and try to get like me thumbs ups.
Dear God. Understand thermodynamics. If you start with water convert it to Hydrogen which you then burn back to water you havent done anything. You start with water and end with water. You haven't gained any energy. In fact you've lost energy due to heat in your process. Claims about "HHO" powered cars are all fake!!
@itonner231 Dear God. Understand BASIC CHEMISTRY! h2o + h20 + electricity = h2 + h2 + 02. in order to BURN those hydrogen molecules, you must make [h2o + o2 + h2o + o2 + explosion]. you go from 4 hydrogen atoms, 2 oxygen atoms to now having 4 hydrogen atoms, 6 oxygen atoms! the extra energy is coming from the oxygen in the air which is losing the double bonded electrons in the extra oxygen. the electrical bonds that keep hydrogen atoms bonded to oxygen in water is a much weaker bond, moron!!!
@katsumorymoto K first off, take a look at the wikipedia page on water-fueled cars
Maybe they can explain it better than I can, but here are the issues I have with your argument. As far as your claim that oxygen is a catalyst, even if it were true it is a moot point. Catalysts only speed up (kinetics) a reaction. Catalysts will NOT make a reaction more energetically favorable (thermodynamics). In other words, the use of a catalyst does not give you more energy out of the reaction.
@katsumorymoto On top of that, Oxygen cannot be a catalyst as it is consumed in the reaction. The definition of a catalyst is that it is not consumed. In addition, while I agree with your first reaction involving the electrolysis, the last part (involving the explosion) is not correct. I think you're listing the products of the combustion of hydrogen. Oxygen is the reactant of the rxn not the product. If there is oxygen left over it is because it is in excess it is not created by the reaction.
@katsumorymoto The reactions involved in the "water-fueled car"
electrolysis of water 2H2O -> 2H2+O2 - energy
Combustion H2+O2 -> 2H2O + energy
add these reactions we get the overall
2H2O+H2+O2-> 2H2+O2 +2H2O + energy -energy
The compounds on both sides of the reaction are the same so they cancel out. you might claim that the energy is not equal. That would mean that the water at the start of the reaction has more energy than the water at the end. I hope this explained
@itonner231 And here's where your chemistry implications are also wrong: 2(H2) + O2 + heat does not equal 2(H2O) + energy. When hydrogen burns, the ambient oxygen is both the fuel AND the catalyst. H2 will split the O2 in half, the H2 then bonds with one of the oxygen atoms, then the other oxygen atom is much more likely to reform back into an O2 (simply b/c the electron bonds in O2 are far more stable/ simpler/ natural than the bonds that connect 2 hydrogen atoms to oxygen in a water molecule).
Y don't a group of people do research on this technology and produce a water fueled car in secret ? y do u let the companies or the fuckin decision makers know your project ? Once the work is complete, do a live demonstration in public as well as in front of the whole world..hack the youtube and produce your video live there..and when the whole public supports the technology, even the richest government cannot restrict u from producing the Car..what do u say?
@Taajuudella i dont think so this car will never really make it because the big oil company's owned by the elite will keep buying them out like i said nobody gives a fuck thats why the government can do whatever they want until the people say im fed up of this shit this cycle of bullshit will continue forever and that's the truth
SAME OLD FUCKIN STORY: BOUGHT OFF : THREATENED OFF : KILLED OFF
Does anyone have a strategy to defeat this shit???
Statement from genepax.co.jp ...
... we have yet to overcome the many obstacles we face in the current world, to bring our systems to market. Moreover, the costs of development have become very large. As our resources are very limited, we need to retrench and reassess our resources and our development plans at this time, and we are accordingly closing our website.
we better hope this water car thing does not work out, can you imagine having to pay $4 a gallon for water, maybe thats why we are losing our water rights, and theyll probably require the water to be specially formulated.
you must either be a shill or a corporate asshole,,,keep up the good work and rip off the public and make sure you stop any tech that might solve our problems. and keep screwing up the environment and do me a favor live next ot nuclear power plant too mr. corporation and oh i forgot keep paying your corporate heads millions while everyone else goes broke shit head.,,im 60 yrs. old and i shit more experience that you got.
its about time,should have been done 50 yrs. ago.. but the oil companies have always blocked this type of technology ,,dam i hate the energy corporations of american bleeding us dry and who is still making excessive profits the idiots who say drill baby drill, ruin the environment and atomosphere..sarah palin is still an idiot.
@mtzlypk you know it's not mandatory to buy fuel. its a choice. there are always aggressors and there are enablers. you want comfort you want drive fast. you want to show off infront of chicks you can't do that with water powered car. by hating corporations you hate yourself. because they set the rules and you follow. and then you come and bitch on youtube about your misery. not the best strategy...
@a2zhandi Damn I hate when im right soon it will be time to fight to free urself form the dark knight destroying thier demonic delight until im in GODS sight
This will never happen.. Its just like the product some guy made 10+ years ago that allowed all cars to get over 200 miles per gallon.. and you guessed it the oil companies pounced and ended up buying the guy out and we never heard anything about that product ever since..
@2528997 Dude...if they had a car that I could drive for free, I'd drive it if it literally in the shape of a Giant Turd....I could care less if it's ugly. Free, it Free........Gas is expensive.
Though I'm skeptical of this car....every Hydrogen car I've heard of needs electricity to separate the Hydrogen from the water....usually making it less efficient than just a regular electric car. I can't see how one could work without a huge battery, which defeats the purpose of it being 'free'
@frankensteinmoneymac But that's you and me. How is this kind of technology supposed to catch on in one of the biggest oil and gas consuming nations in the world, when most of its people are concerned with vanity, materialism, and superficiallity?
@2528997 That's a Good Point, to be sure....still I think in the end people will switch as their gas prices keep getting higher. Look at SUV's in America..everybody used to drive them....now they are no where near as common. While the tiny 'easier on the gas mileage' cars like Mini Coopers are starting to show up all over the place. I never used to see cars that small when I was a boy. Though I'm skeptical of this car's claims...I wonder if Big Oil ever would allow a 'free gas' car on the market
@frankensteinmoneymac who ever holds the patent on the generator should turn loose with it. Then let people build their own. And those who aren't talented enough to do so should look to their more mechanically inclined friends to help them out. Otherwise the money trap continues.
@a2zhandi That would be nice...I imagine that the type of people working on something revolutionary though would not necessarily be working for any Large Corporation (they wouldn't want to fund something that'd change the Energy Status Quo) so I can understand that such small struggling scientists working outside the mainstream would want to patent it and get money for it...Such inventors would likely be working on a shoe-string budget the way it is.
oh it won't surprise me the earthquake and tsunami might have been made by global elite to destroy japan economy so they don't threaten oil control with thier high tech water cars or the magnetic motorcycle technology who know lol dam greedy governments and oil monopoly
now they forge to mention that they still have anti gravity technology that won't be release to public unless oil company s that own government die off form the control grip
A hydrogen Fuel plant could increase what electricity is already being made from the logic of the H2O car hydrogen extraction process ! Why are you so against the idea of human beings living with a energy source that can end our addiction to polluting dangerous expensive non renewable resources ? Are you in the coal biz?
@allyouneedismmmm lol what? you're not making any sense. I'm all for using hydrogen as a source of power. But H2O needs to be split into hydrogen and oxygen before you can use hydrogen. This generally takes about 450kj/mol of energy. Therefore why would you create energy to convert water to hydrogen to get energy, when you can use the original energy you created? As for the h20 car, it would only work with super solar cells (we can't produce and theres none on the car).
@Rotemetoot ?, as i previously explained even with perfect conversion efficiency and you were using solar cells to split water inside the car, It would still be better to use the electrical energy from the solar cells in an electric motor. You can't defy thermodynamics and think that converting energy will produce more energy. I talk like this because I have knowledge on the subject. If you want to offer an informed opinion on the matter, i'll be more than happy to listen.
@mattymuck I think I read something about it in my chemistry class. What you need its a "catalizer" some molecules brake up in the presence of some other materials, and the catalizer never brakes up in the presence of those molecules.
Now that I think abut it, they do use platinum as a catalizer in the exhaust of vehicles to brake up carbon monoxide, if this is true then I guess its oxygen that splits in the presence of platinum, and that's how they get their Hydrogen. I think.
@Ramiromasters A catalyst does not provide free energy, nor does anything else. A catalyst simply reacts to create an intermediate in the reaction which provides a path with a lower activation energy. Ie. A + catalyst (C) → CA, CA + B → CAB → C + AB, the catalyst is conserved however it does not change the free energy value of the reaction, only the kinetics. Therefore a catalyst can inhibit or promote reaction rate. You've given me some things to think about tho :), enjoy chemistry class =P
@allyouneedismmmm But then why would you bother converting water to hydrogen inside a car when you can just use the energy directly from the solar cells with an electric motor... The fuel cell would only weigh down the car more. Water is not a fuel I think you have been mislead.
@allyouneedismmmm A hydrogen fuel cell plant? lol you need energy to split h20 it would just be adding an extra step to the power production process = more inefficiency
@allyouneedismmmm power plants are generally run using water are they not? A fuel such as coal is burnt to boil water and the steam is used to spin turbines.
anyone who actually believes you can get energy from water directly or claims inventions involving "free energy" are being held back, need to go study up on their chemistry. It's funny how every idiot who posts their conspiracy theories obviously have no scientific knowledge or doesn't even bother to show any...
Hey, you ever notice that when someone claims the Illuminati OR the Freemasons, it's always one or the other? Now, if I was the product of Freemason families, with a posh life and power, what'd I go about doing is make fake 'evidence' to trick idiots think it was the Ilumninati all along; their paranoia and gulliblily (similar to religious self-indoctornization) makes them have unshakable 'faith' that their interpertation of the world (and it's omnipotent/omnipresent master) was correct.
Scam! The car in the video is a ''G-Wizz'' electric car made in India. Genepax don't make any working products, they just sell worthless plans to gullible idiots.
NO matter if these cars are built and sold, they will never get into the US, big oil and the big 3 auto companies will never allow it to be sold here. Once again we will will all get screwed.
WTF??? why are we all not driving these? It seems absurd that we should all be forced to use oil that is destroying our planet, when there are viable options available! It makes me feel ill when I think of how criminal this is to keep clean, cheap technology from society.
In water hydrogen is currently tied up with oxygen - that is, it has already reacted & is at a lower energy level (low enthalpy). It would be a perpetual motion machine because you need (a lot!) more energy to split the water than you would be recovered in the car's 'engine'.
@igib2635 Yeah, it sure is convenient for the military industrial complex that Japan is on the verge of becoming part of the Pacific Ocean. They might actually have given us the hydrogen car.
@abSURDub, this idea, and similar prototypes have been around since the 1970's. Look up Stan Myer. I think that is how you spell his name. Anyway, it works, it is proven, it is suppressed.
@clevername333 There is no difference, just that the prime mover in the Japanese car is an electric motor. It pains me to no end that we have had the answers for over 80 years yet nothing has been done. And funny that the place where this new car was engineered ( Osaka, Japan ) is now a hot zone for nuclear radiation. Why not have water reactors that can take sea water to power up the country? Oooops, there I go making sense again.
In real, The energy required to break water into hydrogen and oxygen is greater than the energy produced by burning hydrogen and oxygen.
So it is proved that water-fueled cars are not real.
If it happen then it will disagree to first law of thermodynamics.
So Don't Believe on on this car and try to discover something true and real.

@1crazyfocker --cont
no extra electrons in H2O to be "released" so its clear that it does not wor at all the way they say it does....I bet if it does work at all that its nothing more then the oldest type of battery. (the first batteries made were water batteries) were the electrodes being different metals in a water battery will split the water oxidizing the electrodes and releaseing hydrogen. and to make that much power and go thru that much water --cont
1crazyfocker 6 months ago
@1crazyfocker --cont
making that much power and going thru that much water would mean that they are eating thru the electrode very fast...like a normal battery the faster you can release the "power" the faster it will decay. so i bet you have to replace the elecrodes ever 50 to 100 miles and i bet like most high power batteries electrodes they are made of pricey and environmentally damaging materials.... plus i could not find any patent doc of this in Japan or US. willing to bet its useless.
1crazyfocker 6 months ago
@1crazyfocker U.S. Patent 5,149,407
Bossalinni13 4 months ago
@Bossalinni13 that proves nothing. a patent made by a proven and convected fraud (look it up) that was granted before the PTO put a stop to all the BS ideas. basicly this, if any idea is to be patented that claims some form of OU, Magnet motor, "free energy" or PMM, then in order for a patent to be granted a working model must be built and tested. plus that has nothing to do with this idea at all, no claims of electrolysis which is exacly what meyer car was, thus why he was sued. so scam.
1crazyfocker 4 months ago
@1crazyfocker so i guess im not sure what your saying, are you saying this model is a scam, or are you saying this model and meyers model were both fraud, never worked, and never could?
Bossalinni13 4 months ago
@Bossalinni13 Meyers was and is a scam, and this one, is like what i said above, is most likely worthless. basicly a water battery, now thats just useing logic, from the way they explain how it "works" like i stated already, water need electrons to be added to it for it to "split" now the first batteries "water batteries" used the electrons from the metals in the electrodes, to "make" elec,/and H2. but is completely inefficient and goes thru electrodes hella fast, so worthless and costs to much
1crazyfocker 4 months ago
@1crazyfocker ok i get ya, there are just so many other videos on here that explain how his fuel cell works and another guy that used the same type of water fuel cell for a torch, he also made a gas water hybrid car. Guess i would have to know more about physics before i could make any assumptions. thanks for the reply
Bossalinni13 4 months ago
@Bossalinni13 i made that comment bc this is the first i have ever heard of something like this. all those other ones are the biggiest scam of them all, the so called "HHO" which its not, 1st HHO is water, the gas released is H2 and O2, not HHO. 2nd all of those videos are, no matter how they try to turn the phase, electrolytic cells (not fuel cells) useing normal electrolysis, that the best you can get out is 50% of what you put in. this how ever is claiming to get elc and H2 from water, -cont-
1crazyfocker 4 months ago
@1crazyfocker HHO isn't water. It's a name for Water that was split into H2 and O2, but not separated physically (Not a good idea, BTW, since any spark will make it explode, as it need no more oxygen than it already has.) and yes, it's confusing and pointless, especially since, as you said, it forms h2 and o2, not h2 and o, as the name implies. It does contain energy, though.
Still need to make it become "HHO" by pumping in electricity first though. The energy does come from somewhere.
falconsbride 3 months ago
@falconsbride wow you are all kinds of confused. HHO was a name created by ppl that had no idea what they were talking about, by scammers. when water goes thru electrolysis it creates 2x H2 and O2 and yes it does create it separately. hydrogen forms on the cathode (pos electrode) oxygen forms on the anode (neg electrode), the idiots that came up with the name HHO are the ones too stupid too figure that out and keep them separated. now if it needs more O2 then how will it explode? -cont-
1crazyfocker 3 months ago
@falconsbride -cont2- it has all the oxygen it needs, bc burning or explodeing is rapid oxidation, hydrogen only needs 1 oxygen for every 2 hydrogen atoms. when it burns/explodes it creates water H2O, it has the perfect amount of O2 when made to burn/explode no outside source is needed. yes it contains the 50% of the energy that you put into it to create it. but thats not a power source which i already stated, it more like a very inefficient battery.
1crazyfocker 3 months ago
@1crazyfocker God damn, I hate all the science illiteracy in this world. People just don't seem to understand electrolysis and conservation of energy.
michalchik 3 months ago
@michalchik that is so true
1crazyfocker 3 months ago
@Bossalinni13 -cont2-
that why useing logic it sound like a simple water battery, with a fuel cell (a real fuel cell that turns H2 and O2 in to electricity, but once again only 50% at best of what you put into it) for the hydrogen gas released from the oxidizing of the electrodes. so a more efficient water battery, but hell with the cost of the electrodes (that wear out fast) and the low output of elec and H2, basicly makes a great science fair project but worthless over all.
1crazyfocker 4 months ago

These con artists are basically taking advantage of the general public's lack of knowledge of PHYSICS. This sort of engine is PHYSICALLY IMPOSSIBLE. It would violate both the 1st and 2nd laws of thermodynamics.

Dear God. Understand thermodynamics. If you start with water convert it to Hydrogen which you then burn back to water you havent done anything. You start with water and end with water. You haven't gained any energy. In fact you've lost energy due to heat in your process. Claims about "HHO" powered cars are all fake!!
itonner231 6 months ago
@itonner231 Dear God. Understand BASIC CHEMISTRY! h2o + h20 + electricity = h2 + h2 + 02. in order to BURN those hydrogen molecules, you must make [h2o + o2 + h2o + o2 + explosion]. you go from 4 hydrogen atoms, 2 oxygen atoms to now having 4 hydrogen atoms, 6 oxygen atoms! the extra energy is coming from the oxygen in the air which is losing the double bonded electrons in the extra oxygen. the electrical bonds that keep hydrogen atoms bonded to oxygen in water is a much weaker bond, moron!!!
katsumorymoto 6 months ago
@katsumorymoto K first off, take a look at the wikipedia page on water-fueled cars
Maybe they can explain it better than I can, but here are the issues I have with your argument. As far as your claim that oxygen is a catalyst, even if it were true it is a moot point. Catalysts only speed up (kinetics) a reaction. Catalysts will NOT make a reaction more energetically favorable (thermodynamics). In other words, the use of a catalyst does not give you more energy out of the reaction.
itonner231 6 months ago
@katsumorymoto On top of that, Oxygen cannot be a catalyst as it is consumed in the reaction. The definition of a catalyst is that it is not consumed. In addition, while I agree with your first reaction involving the electrolysis, the last part (involving the explosion) is not correct. I think you're listing the products of the combustion of hydrogen. Oxygen is the reactant of the rxn not the product. If there is oxygen left over it is because it is in excess it is not created by the reaction.
itonner231 6 months ago
@katsumorymoto The reactions involved in the "water-fueled car"
electrolysis of water 2H2O -> 2H2+O2 - energy
Combustion H2+O2 -> 2H2O + energy
add these reactions we get the overall
2H2O+H2+O2-> 2H2+O2 +2H2O + energy -energy
The compounds on both sides of the reaction are the same so they cancel out. you might claim that the energy is not equal. That would mean that the water at the start of the reaction has more energy than the water at the end. I hope this explained
itonner231 6 months ago
@itonner231 And here's where your chemistry implications are also wrong: 2(H2) + O2 + heat does not equal 2(H2O) + energy. When hydrogen burns, the ambient oxygen is both the fuel AND the catalyst. H2 will split the O2 in half, the H2 then bonds with one of the oxygen atoms, then the other oxygen atom is much more likely to reform back into an O2 (simply b/c the electron bonds in O2 are far more stable/ simpler/ natural than the bonds that connect 2 hydrogen atoms to oxygen in a water molecule).
katsumorymoto 6 months ago
Y don't a group of people do research on this technology and produce a water fueled car in secret ? y do u let the companies or the fuckin decision makers know your project ? Though I'm skeptical of this car....every Hydrogen car I've heard of needs electricity to separate the Hydrogen from the water....usually making it less efficient than just a regular electric car. I can't see how one could work without a huge battery, which defeats the purpose of it being 'free'

@2528997 That's a Good Point, to be sure....still I think in the end people will switch as their gas prices keep getting higher. While the tiny 'easier on the gas mileage' cars like Mini Coopers are starting to show up all over the place. I never used to see cars that small when I was a boy. Though I'm skeptical of this car's claims...I wonder if Big Oil ever would allow a 'free gas' car on the market

A hydrogen Fuel plant could increase what electricity is already being made from the logic of the H2O car hydrogen extraction process ! Why are you so against the idea of human beings living with a energy source that can end our addiction to polluting dangerous expensive non renewable resources ? Are you in the coal biz?
allyouneedismmmm 8 months ago
@allyouneedismmmm lol what? you're not making any sense. I'm all for using hydrogen as a source of power. But H2O needs to be split into hydrogen and oxygen before you can use hydrogen. This generally takes about 450kj/mol of energy. Therefore why would you create energy to convert water to hydrogen to get energy, when you can use the original energy you created? As for the h20 car, it would only work with super solar cells (we can't produce and theres none on the car).
mattymuck 8 months ago
@mattymuck You talk like a know it all.
You jump to conclusions because you have your brain programmed that you are always right, it seems.
Maybe they have made a new development in which the conversion takes less energy.
If this wasn't the case the video would be a lie since they say "ALL YOU HAVE TO DO is put water in it now and then"
So either they are lying or you have a typical mind stuck in an "the world is flat because that's what I see" approach.
Fact: you say that they are lying.
Rotemetoot 8 months ago
@Rotemetoot ?, as i previously explained even with perfect conversion efficiency and you were using solar cells to split water inside the car, It would still be better to use the electrical energy from the solar cells in an electric motor. You can't defy thermodynamics and think that converting energy will produce more energy. I talk like this because I have knowledge on the subject. If you want to offer an informed opinion on the matter, i'll be more than happy to listen.
mattymuck 8 months ago
@mattymuck I think I read something about it in my chemistry class. What you need its a "catalizer" some molecules brake up in the presence of some other materials, and the catalizer never brakes up in the presence of those molecules.
Now that I think abut it, they do use platinum as a catalizer in the exhaust of vehicles to brake up carbon monoxide, if this is true then I guess its oxygen that splits in the presence of platinum, and that's how they get their Hydrogen. I think.
Ramiromasters 8 months ago
@Ramiromasters A catalyst does not provide free energy, nor does anything else. A catalyst simply reacts to create an intermediate in the reaction which provides a path with a lower activation energy. Ie. A + catalyst (C) → CA, CA + B → CAB → C + AB, the catalyst is conserved however it does not change the free energy value of the reaction, only the kinetics. Therefore a catalyst can inhibit or promote reaction rate. You've given me some things to think about tho :), enjoy chemistry class =P
mattymuck 8 months ago
@allyouneedismmmm But then why would you bother converting water to hydrogen inside a car when you can just use the energy directly from the solar cells with an electric motor... The fuel cell would only weigh down the car more. Water is not a fuel I think you have been mislead.
mattymuck 8 months ago
matty muck ! A power plant that runs off hydrogen !, extracted from the H2O, thats water, that leaves no pollution !

In water hydrogen is currently tied up with oxygen - that is, it has already reacted & is at a lower energy level (low enthalpy). It would be a perpetual motion machine because you need (a lot!) more energy to split the water than you would be recovered in the car's 'engine'.
