  • Quit with the pussy music idiot.

  • @frederick4455 I'm sorry that you don't like it, but this video and song have been up for almost 3 years now, and about 2 years and 9 months longer than you've had an account. So no, I'm not changing it now because you don't like it.

  • @frederick4455 How about turning off the sound?? Can you do that or does someone have to do it for you?...idiot!

  • why was it closed down to begin with?

  • No murder, that was me, i cut myself shaving and i could'nt find a towel.

  • Wait what happened? I've never heard of it.

  • its funny that places stay open cuz their pride or whatever... it like, it was abandoned get over it (lol)

  • I am so glad they tore this place down. I lived there from 2000-2007, moved out 3 months before they tolled everyone they had to vacate. My mom managed the property from the time we moved there to about 2004 maybe 2005. And that was a murder scene you guys were at, don't know when it took place, but police were notified, they just never did anything about it, if you look at the pic at 2:21, you can see a hand print on the right side of the window, looks to be a persons left hand.

  • @Isadore Those pictures were from our old condo, that was the window in my parents room

  • @montysport94 its sad how bad things have gotten on that street. candelwood glen was even worse. My mom managed those properties after she managed candlelight. I lived in building 1 when i first moved there and moved to building 6 in 2005. It's really a shame how things turned out there.

  • @Isadore Why was everyone told to leave the apartments?

  • @ixtoothint because they had closed the property down. I think it was a month before they actually closed it down that they sent out the notices. But they weren't even official letters. My former neighbor there said the lady that worked in the office hand wrote a note, copied it and just went around putting it on residents doors.

  • @Isadore Thank you, and why did the apartments close down?

  • @ixtoothint the city rendered it as being too crime infested. too much stuff was always going on.

  • @Isadore Okay. Thank you for the infomation.

  • What does the notice to vacate say??

  • Seriously, one of the worst songs of the last 20 years. God.

  • @cauliflowerjones Your right, just because it makes the Top 40 charts doesn't actually mean it's any good.

  • Looks like those were some nicely designed apartments at one time.

  • holy fuck here we go with the efffinevince. every fucking youtube video has an effinevince song.

  • Wasnt there some condos near downtown that they owned but never finished near papa's bbq

  • Damn they finally demolished it

  • I use to live her as a child in the early 90's til about 2001. Later in the 90's the crime was really bad over there, i think in a way it traumatized me! lol I am glad they finally demolished it.

  • The building was demolished ;(

  • It was demolished today. Sept. 16, 2010

  • @barbb84 Yep, I know.

  • around where i live, me and like 8 other friends went into some abandoned apatrments. there was alot of stuff like books, couches, vacate orders, etc. then we were tellin people and i guess it got to one of my other friends and he told his dad who is a cop. we tried going in it a few days ago, but theres this really strong lock from the inside.

  • Wow, built in '78 and abandoned in '07? I'm living in a nice apartment that was built in the 60s and still in awesome shape, professionally managed and maintained, etc. I'm amazed that a complex so new would go downhill so fast like the one in this video.

  • if it is blood, it isn't enough blood loss to kill someone...whoever it was should have lived..

  • To be honest you cant be 100% sure 2:10 was a murder. For all we know its paint.

PS. You sould go back and take more pics now

  • love the video, love the song, brings to the surface a bunch of emotions, excellent job!!

  • My sister is Xdori92, her comments are not in bad taste so stop with the thumbs down.

  • What happened is that a group of investors from California bought a whole bunch of units and took over. They ran it into the ground then quit paying their hoa dues and the association ran out of money. Now the City of Houston is suing all the owners for the cost of demolition. The California group has all their condos in a corporation so they won't pay anything. They'll just bankrupt their company and walk away laughing while all the other owners (mostly lower income) end up paying.

  • sounds about right. My dad still gets tax bills on it even though we sold our unit years ago.

  • that's messed up....

  • it dosent look like an old building, whats the problem with someone buying it up, renovating and selling the apartments.

  • @candlelightvictims It seems that California is the source of everything evil in the USA. Those people who did it should be taken to court and fined so much money they wont even remember what happened!

  • @candlelightvictims And that's how America does it..so well!

  • where is this?

  • Houston, Texas

  • @montysport94

Wow, I didn't know that this was a bad problem in Houston. I sure would like to explore the places though!!!!

  • hey what was with 2:10 ?

  • its blood.

  • hehe, ofc its blood. Did you see any undesireables, or traces of them? Think it could have been animals? Is it a bad part of town, or good? I wouldnt know, im not from there XD.

  • the worst part of town, just blood no real traces of any thing significant, we didnt find any traces of animals either.

  • Alright. This makes more sense then. By "traces of undesireables", I mean, were there or at least signs of squatters?

  • Actually, the place seemed vacant. The smell of mildew also disappeared and there were no unusual sounds or movements.

  • Hmm, oaky. Thanks for answering an annoying commenter XD. Man, I truly do wonder what happened at 2:10 thought... I bet no one will ever know sadly.

  • Yeah, my sister was haunted from that for quite some time. Apparently she could see a face of a person within the blood, which you kind of can.

  • Please extend my sympathy to her, I can see how if you used to live thre and there was literaly a random scene of britality, that can be quite traumatic. By the descriptions that you have given... If its empty, even from squatters, im sure the reasons were very psycotic, aka the murder could have taken place there and the body was disposed of elsewhere, rather than two druggies going at it... Its sad they cant test it...

  • Why was it noticed to vacate?

  • the city condemned it

  • This apt complex near Houston,TX?

  • its in Houston, Antoine at DeSoto.

  • whatever,...the past is just that...the past..

i think this is a really cool video! i watched feeling lots

of emotion....the blood on the wall was spooky,i would have turned and ran...lol...i really admire your bravery

going into these abandoned buildings! thanks for sharing!!

  • thank you, but im not gonna say that I went in there balls out, I thought about going back to my car but I was too curious

  • well anyways...you went back....and i commend you...

love the music,by the way,it really "fits" the video,ya know? excellent job, this is definately going into my favorites so i can watch it again and again :)

  • thanks a lot :)

  • What happened to the people that owned the individual condo. Did they get there mortgage bought back or were they screwed?

  • They got screwed. I would say about 95% of the condos were actually rented out by the individual owners but the owners of the condos never received any compensation or tax refund.

  • why did it become abandoned? i don't think that was answered.

  • ok dude ill make it clear and simple. it was a shit hole and the owners couldnt bring it up to code because it was too expensive. so the city cut the power and water and told em to get out.

  • Hey Monty, these weren't apartments, they were condos. all were individually owned. No one intity could repair them. The place was a crime filled place, filled with welfare-moms and dead-beat boyfriends back in 1994 when I moved out.

  • yeah i know but i get tired of saying condos. my family owned one from 1985 to 2001. but maintenance could take care of the condition of the lobby and stuff like that

  • They were, yes. But there was an HOA that took care of general maintenance (but failed.) Plus, more cops could've been hired. There was a lot of things that a lot of people could've done. If you left in 1994, then you have NO idea what went on because I was born in 1992, and I lived there until 2001 and a LOT of things changed. They got CONSIDERABLY worse. You don't know about this time period.. You've only experienced the beforehand.

  • the apartments dont look that bad, i would live there if they had electricity

  • hey i would too. since i did live there before. and if the apartments dont look bad, the neighborhood does anyway.

  • search for keystone towers indianapolis, same story. They were a couple of high end apartment buildings from the 70's that due to neglect or whatever ended up what is now Indiana's largest crack house.

  • If you had actually been there, no. You probably wouldn't have even stepped on the property. Shut up about things that you have no idea what you're talking about.

  • omg i love this :-) would use like a buliding as like a crib for everyone to hang out at would be awsome :-P

  • ditto

  • 2007 isn't that old. the police should care if it was really blood...was it?

  • awesome,,,,,

  • why did it become abandoned?

  • unlivable. thats the way it was for 20 years too but they just figured it out in 2007
