  • I'm with you Matt and I support CARM but I would ask one question. Why in any circumstance should true Christians "worry" about the rapture? Is that something we should "worry" about? We are not supposed to cling to this world. I think your approach was wrong but God bless you for what you do. It is greatly appreciated.

  • @kluge1261 We Christians should not worry for the "rapture" (which I do not believe will happen), Christ's return or even the end of the world. These are, for us, in fact, tremendously joyous events that we're waiting for, albeit not on the edge of our seats. In many prayers (especially during mass) we keep asking Jesus to come back. That's our hope, to see him come back in our life times. Our worry is for the people in sin (at times unfortunately ourselves) so we also pray for repentance.

  • @Fetrovsky

Rapture will happen, no christain knows when.Though the bible never actually uses the word "rapture" it certainly foretells the rapture events.Rapture is just a name we use.Try reading revelations.Either way, the rapture is not bad for us christains.

  • @zeratul1356 In the general sense, a "rapture" will occur. I'm convinced it will not be the way most protestants picture it, though, but I may of course be wrong. The Bible even *does* use the word, but not int English. Remember that none of the books in the Bible were written in English. You need to find and read the originals to find it. Clue: it's in Greek, and was written by Saint John Apostol, the beloved one.

  • sounds like a smart man

  • I wasn't worried. It was pretty obvious it wasn't gonna happen.

Also, I'm pretty sure it's never gonna happen, so I'm really not worried at all.

But I am quite interested. I wanna hear what Camping will be saying on October 22.

  • Perhaps Harold Camping will end May 21 2011 :)

  • Matt, another good video! :-> You are looking a tad tired, hope all is going well for you.

  • Why don´t we establish May 21 as the "Slap Harold Camping´s Day" ??

  • All You ethiest Need to back off, all you do is mock and insult our religion yet

you claim to be the good people everywhere i go, i read an comment

    insulting god or jesus

  • @tomyvimto Lol.. Because they dont exist! That's the funny thing, cus the comeback is almost always, YOUR GOING TO HELL FOR YOUR SINS... you think i care? it DOESN'T EXIST problem?

  • 哈哈哈

  • There is no GOD sheopple!!!!

  • fucking religion bullshit yall need to shut the fuck up and enjoy your life for fucks sake

  • @KlikOn word!!!!!

  • @KlikOn you just shut your mouth if you dont no wat you are talking ,

about keep believing in farry tals BIG BANG hahaha so stupid that you dont

    understand use your common sense

  • Matt's just bummed that he was left behind. As the only one who actually was Raptured and returned from Heaven to tell about it, I find his sad devotion this false god of his the reason God deemed him unworthy and rejected him for the filthy, wretched sinner that he is.

  • If only people would just read the Bible. good greif. The Bible says no one knows. So if someone says they know they are wrong and dont lession to them. Omw reamber the W2K thing so meny poeple thought that was the end.

  • Well done video. Thanks. Nice to see a good video on the subject.

  • I agree with this guy mostly. Its funny to hear him imply, that Jehovahs and mormans as seperate from christians? Then what would thier religous classification be?? Like it or not they base thier religons on the same God as "born againers" do. This denomination feels that anyone who doesnt worship in thier manner must be in error.

  • @jazzwazzer1 Do you know what JWs and Mormons actually believe? It's definitely not Christian. They do not believe in the same Jesus. You might be surprised if you did your homework on the issue.

  • @SeraphsWitness and how exactly do you know what they believe?

  • @Vyselink Just like you know what any group believes... you read their official writings. The Watchtower material shows it. Or ask any JW, they'll tell you they don't believe in the deity of Christ or his atonement, among other things.

Same with LDS. The Book of Mormon, Pearl of Great Price, and Doctrine and Covenant will tell you what they believe. It's poly-theism, they believe god was a man from another planet who followed the rules from that world and became a god.

    It's not that hard.

  • @SeraphsWitness I know a few of thier beliefs but after learning a little about thier beiefs it wasnt wirth my while to find out any more, they are both have some absurd ideas. My point was that they have jesus of Nazareth included in thier beliefs, however they regard him.

  • @jazzwazzer1 Jesus is a part of the Islamic faith... would you call them Christians?

My point is, simply calling yourself Christian does not make it so. Simply having Jesus somewhere in your religion does not make it a Christian religion. You have to look at what Christ taught and see if it is in line with those beliefs.

JW and LDS are most definitely not in harmony with the doctrine Jesus taught. Obviously, neither are Muslims.

  • @SeraphsWitness Point taken. Just thought JW and mormans were more foucused on Jesus. I stand corrected.

  • @SeraphsWitness Uh Seraph I just hope that youre not part of Harold Campings Camp!! I did my homework on him!

  • @jazzwazzer1 Ohhh no, definitely not. He doesn't know what he's talking about. Pre-trib rapture is foreign to scripture, and the Christian world at large. It wasn't even thought up until 1830.

Lots of stuff needs to go down before Jesus comes back, all surrounding Israel. Watch for it.

  • It's 5:10 BST and we're all still here. 'Nuff said!

  • It's interesting to hear one religious group identify the flaws in another religious group.

  • Where's my rapture damn it!

  • Christians that do not read their bibles deserve to be deceived.

  • These false prophesies are really annoying, and evil. What kind of punishment awaits a unrepentant false prophet? I hope it serves justice!

  • harold sniffs hairy bung hole

  • Matt.24

[14] And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

U seem pretty sure of yourself. What makes u so right and camping wrong. His prediction in 94? was not an absolute just a maybe. but Mathew 24:14 tells the exact time of the end that is for sure.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

  • @lorijeans59 So what are you going to do on Sunday? Next week? Next month? Next year?

It's not happening; so what's the plan? If you really thought it was going to happen I don't think you'd be spending any time here.

  • @chilimaan Same thing I have always done, Occupy as we r to do until Christ our Savior returns.

  • @lorijeans59 So you're aware it's not going to happen. But you're pretending that it will.

  • @chilimaan Sure it will happen when God the Father makes it happen. Did u read Mathew24? It is happening right now. No other time in humans history could the gospel b preached as it is being spread right now. If u deny that u r a scoffer

  • @lorijeans59 Okay. I'm a scoffer. And?

And the rapture isn't happening on the 21st; or ever for that matter. It had to happen ~1900 years ago in order to be true. It didn't happen; it's not true.

And you've pretty much admitted you know it's not true.

    Time to wake up.

  • @chilimaan U R so sure Christ's return will never happen. How? Only the author and interpreter of the bible can know this. Why did it have to happen 1900 years ago? Why r u so bitter? I pray that you meet Christ and know God the Father, with God all things R possible.

  • @lorijeans59 Let's employ Matt Slick's logic. Either Harold Camping is right, or he is wrong, since Matt's denial of Harold's Judgment Day prediction can't adequately explain and account for everything, therefore, Harold wins by default, Matt's denial loses.

  • @lorijeans59 It's obvious that many of the people then alive would still be alive when Christ returned. Paul very specifically predicted the actual rapture event with himself as someone who was going to go zooming off into the air along with others he addressed his letter to. Oh, I'm bitter cause I'm neither sweet nor sour.

  • @chilimaan No The generation that sees all the things He lists in Mathew 24 are the ones who will see Him return. Not the generation at the time of His death on the cross. Not to argue. It doesn't matter, He will return in His own time. Ok you can be bitter if u want :)

  • @FranksVoice Nonbelievers dont fear hell, because we don't believe it. But some fear death, and we DO live every day as if it were the last.

  • @spiritualbully

Just a question, why live every day as if it's your last if you won't even remember or be conscious to care what you did IN this life should you truly believe death is the end of your being? How could one fear death as a non-believer also, because it would be the end of pain and consciousness. It's just a plethora of feelings, actions and events that don't matter at all in the end(should one even live long enough to have such events/feelings occur)--doesn't make sense to me.

  • @droptozro Right. The emptiness of the Christian life is such that the best one could hope for is that the suffering and insanity will mean something "in the end". To the unbeliever life can mean something right now.

To the believer however, death is the welcome end of a life of self torture.

  • @droptozro because not existing means not having BOTH pleasure and pain, and life. Most people consider life more pleasure than pain, or else we'd kill ourselves.

If this life isn't enough for you to live it as you can, I can't convince you. Have fun.

  • so your point Matt is that nobody should say the end times is near, because not only have they always been wrong, but also that Jesus says nobody knows, so we should act as though it'll never happen?

  • @FranksVoice We're not worried about it when someone puts a date to the rapture, so why should we worry about it when someone says it will happen "any day now"?

  • I love how both atheists and christians are in agreement on this.

  • So my friend Maggie lives in Australia and shes a Christian and she wasn't raptured or dead and its 11:am May 21 2011. the end of the world.LOL

  • You should hear Camping's "rebuttal" to Mark 13:32. It's absolutely terrible.

  • What's funny to me is Christians ridicule Camping, then turn to the exact same book Camping used to come up with his idiotic claim. There will be no rapture tomorrow...or ever. Christianity is bunk. Religion is bunk.

  • @derhammerman For starters Harold Camping SAYS he uses The Bible but he actually uses INSANE numerology to justify his "prediction". Harold Camping's reasons for May 21st is because 1,000 subtracted from the years Jesus was alive equals 400 and 400 divided by 21 is...NOT kidding, THAT'S his rationale for May 21st. Say what you want about Religion but Harold Camping is NOT using The Bible for ANYTHING.

  • @UgoStrange So "being guided by the Holy Spirit" makes more sense in interpreting Scripture? My point is that Camping isn't the only ridiculous person in the room.

  • @derhammerman The Holy Spirit guides us to believe The Bible. But ANYONE can read it and understand it. I imagine you have The Bible and at least understood it, but you don't believe it. And since you don't OF COURSE Guidance from The Holy Spirit would be non-sense to you. But you don't need guidance from the Holy Spirit to sort out when someone has NO bases for saying what they say. We Christians can at least find support in The Bible, Harold Camping, not being a Christian, cannot.

  • @UgoStrange Show me the Holy Spirit. Yes, it's nonsense. I was a Christian for many years, was a minister, studied to be a preacher in college, well-trained in classical Greek blah, blah, blah. Yes, I know it well. I woke up and realized I was brainwashed. There is no Holy Spirit. It's made-up.

  • @derhammerman I'm not arguing with you on the existence of the Holy Spirit or the validity of religion, after all, I did say say what you want about religion, BUT you CAN'T say Harold Camping is using The Bible, and as a person who was trained on these topics YOU should know that more than anyone. Because you would know that NONE of what Camping has said is supported, hinted at or even FOUND in The Bible.

  • I plan on going to church on sunday, just like i have almost every week for the last 20-plus years. as much as I love my dear Jesus and want to be with Him, I expect it to be a surprise when this happens

  • Amen.

  • @clockguy2 "Jesus could come at ANY time!" Who in the world flagged this comment as "spam"? Do some commenters on Youtube have any inkling on what "spam" is? Doesn't most spamming have to do with some sort of advertising or an attempt to market a product?

  • @RADIXCHRISTUSMOLE I guess some people are disturbed by the truth.

  • He is right well said

  • Good video but I wouldn't be surprised if they try to claim anything even small or significant in history, They will try to claim that was it!!!

  • Well said

  • Well said
