  • Aswell from the inside this train looks pretty cool.

  • wtf thats bullsh##

  • Buy a motorbike, mate. I had one in Tokyo and it was great: cheap, convenient, easy to park.

  • The seat locking is going to be discontinued starting next week. Also, they are replacing all the six door cars with the four door cars. Hopefully, this makes commuting somewhat less painful.

  • in my two trips to tokyo, i can't say i ever saw seats locked up.

  • I wanna visit Tokyo.

  • Do they have special seats for the elderly and disabled?

  • interesting

  • coming to NYC.... sigh.

  • really??? there gonna make the trains like that?? in NYC they can't ??? right? oh man no seats...

  • Only during rush hour. The seats lock up during rush hour and can be folded down outside of rush hours.

  • ohhh but still i would die lol like what if your going somewhere that takes like an hour x.x that would suck big time

  • Unless you have a physical ailment that prevents you from standing that long, but an hour is hardly a long time to stand, especially when you think of people who go dancing at clubs for hours at a time...Sometimes on the Long Island Railroad on packed express trains with standing room only, you're standing until the first stop 45 minutes away from the City...

  • well yea thats true ...but still man you know sometimes your tired and you really want a seat ...lol i guess im just lazy XD

  • This is their country they can whatever they want to!!!

  • im not gonna lie whn i saw this i said where fuck are the seats and when they told me i was like this is some bullshit

  • nice train it isnt destroyed or sprayed with gravity.

  • Wow, thats really good you cannot use the seat.. The rush hours in Japan is really heavy..

  • well not really cause when I was working in Tokyo when a girl started to feel sick from the overcrowded train she just crumbled down on the floor Sure it saves more space for people to go into the train, but for those who have a not too good health condition it it as if to say to them take a more earier train or wait til all the rush hour is over.
  • Ooh, that's not good!

How often does the train go? 10 min or like 30 min? If there's like 10 min between the trains, people should wait for the next train. Here in Sweden.. We don't even want other people to sit next to you, on buses they maybe put their bags or something else on the seat next to them.. That shouldn't work in Japan..

  • During the rush hour, usually during early

moring hour and around at 6PM the train

comes and go every 10 minutes. And during the

daytime you have to wait like 15minutes til

    the next train.

Even during the noon time people do put bags next to them but when there are other seats open. But even then not many do not do that.

  • erm...you okay man, niwashi5. This is Yamanote Line. It runs every 2-4 minutes throughout the day. We're not talking about Shonan-Shinjuku Line here.

  • And there are anouncement made by the train

driver saying not to use the cell phone in the train and tell people to share their seats(there are special seats marked for the

    handicapped pregnant and old people)

  • The trains on this line usually run every 2 to 4 minutes and 3.5 million people ride this ONE LINE every day.

  • omg so much space in there. It doesn't look that bad... it actually give you panoramic view to it.

  • Oh, I wouldn't mind that. I prefer standing for some reason.
