Keep in mind that it WAS H.R giger who desinged the monsters and the alien world in the game AS WELL as the Xenomorphs from Alien so he can kinda get away with it. In fact if you really think about it the Alien movies are ripping off one of H.R gigers paintings from 2 years back from the art book Necronomicon.

H.R Giger actually made the first "concept" of the alien from the movie "alien" if you look at some of his art you may find the resembalance of of the heads of the aliens in the movies.

don't get me wrong, i like the game and all, funny that this scene is one of the few where the giger isn't just thrown in, it actually has a functioning purpose. haha, other areas its like they took one of the paintings and cut out a hole where you put the mouth and just kinda went with it
