What is that black frame thing at the end of the video? I can imagine securing that to my hangar pole with some 550 so I can hang my carrier in my closet when not in use.
Your plate carrier is way to low. The top of your front plate should be at the top of your sternal notch at the bottom of your neck. You should be able to look down, open your mouth, and have your chin touch your plate carrier with at least a 1 inch over lap. Your plates are hanging about 3-4" too low and leaving the top of your vitals exposed.
@13wraps The plate carrier is on backorder with eagle, supposedly 75th mountain grabbed them all before heading out..
So the ones you will find available today will go for over 200 USD on ebay (without plates), but retail is 175-180.
Plates costs differently, both size and armor rating will change the pricetag, you know, these things aren't hard to find out yourself, just go to optactical, skdtac or triad tactical and find out yourself.
NOT a CIRAS! This is the Eagle Industries Plate Carrier, without cummerbund. At 6' I would use a L/XL model with appropriate size plates. This one is the S/M model with medium plates..
The Eagle Plate Carrier is designed to carry plates. Plates are designed to stop bullets from poking holes in your good shit. The rig needs to sit high on the chest to make sure the plates cover your Lungs, Heart, and other good shit in your chest. The top of the plate should sit right at the V of your collar bone. If you want a big ass rig to load down with a million pouches, find another solution. I love mine, I have a lot of mobility and it holds exactly what I need it to.

@SweBadAss666 and that includes all these pouches or just the vest itself?
13wraps 1 year ago
@13wraps That's for JUST the plate carrier, the pouches (if you go eagle industries on them as well) will go for 40-70 USD a pop.

@13wraps Not really, quality gear does cost money, and if your life depends on it it's very little money.
I only buy from Eagle, Endom, TT, HSGI, Paraclete

I think a ciras type might do, or one of the newer OTVs, but i sacrifice mobility and comfartablility with that.
I think ive learned to apprciate this one more and more ive used it
