He did 2 or 3 attempts at FH blocks. Wang hao didn't look too good either. definitely not the best chinese match i've seen....

Actually, Xu Xin was playing at this tournament...but he had been beaten by Ma Long!Therefore, we may consider that Wang Hao is back as he destroyed Wang Liqin and beat Ma Long who previously beat Xu Xin, a twice tournament winner this year!
i dont understand, players should understand that wang haos RPB is GODLY why do they keep feeding the ball to his backhand? i mean if you watch the video wang hao couldnt get aggressive much with his forehand because ma long is a more aggressive player forehand wise.

Ma Long is 90 % back, he won againts Xu Xin and Mizutani but he wasn`t able today to beat Wang Hao, the man with the best penholder backhand in history !
@abedec5 I seriously think Wang Hao has the best backhand in history now. His RPB can do everything like a shakehand backhand, but better, thanks to Chinese continuous innovation and hard work. Besides, he has a greater element of surprise for his opponent, since he's a penholder whose backhand is normally perceived to be weaker than a shakehand backhand. The man who combines Wang Hao’s backhand and Xu Xin’s forehand will be an absolutely perfect penholder or the greatest player in history. #LOL

Zhang Jike has ny far the best backhand in the world at the moment, and saying that Wang Hao would have an element of surprise now is silly, since everyone knows how he plays. He's not exactly a new kid on the block. Watch Zhang Jike - Wang Hao matches and see what happens in the backhand exchanges. Also think about why Zhang wins most of them.
@tyoungos Oh, by the way, Ma Long has a better forehand than Xu Xin and a backhand roughly on par with Wang Hao (Wang Hao's is probably better as a stand-alone shot, but when talking about how it fits into their respective games, it's pretty equal), so he is already better than your "perfect penholder". I'd be very surprised if we saw any penholders at all in fifteen years or so. Some are still there now, but the tendency is very clear. They are a dying breed.
