2. Labour caused it! They ran huge deficits even before the crunch, the crunch was caused in part due to Brown's failed regulatory system as well as encouraging people to take advantage of the then cheap credit.

3. The banks only did what was allowed within the regulatory framework, created by one G. Brown.
