With a bad economy, the fire looks suspicous. Anything or anyone could have set that building on fire- we cannot rule out arson; might be more to it than just the fireworks. I would not be surprised to later learn that someone in total debt needed an escape via arson.
Actually nope, the bosses of the CCTV tower next to it were setting off fireworks on the last day of Chinese new years and some had landed onto the Oriental tower sparking this.

The problem at WTC was exacerbated by the tons of burning jet fuel pouring over the structure. If that same amount of jet fuel was sprayed into this building, I think the new building would have gone down like a deck of cards, too.

The buildings lasted far longer than that (something along the lines of 80 and 40 minutes after impact), which means any heat from the jet fuel burning that managed to be in the steel would have long been dissipated.
WTC7 did not suffer from a jet fuel fire, nor did it suffer from significant fires caused by internal fuel storage -- the vast majority of the fuel was recovered.
