I have admit that I haven't read books a lot lately (I should, but I always end up gaming or hanging around with friends if I have time), but in my opinion the storylines on games (and especially on visual novels) are at least as good as the ones on books. There are bad stories too of course, but thats up to the story writer.

The strangets thing is that I know this song not from the game but from MAD made from anime To Aru Majutsu no Index (in fact MAD is nicely done and really funny)

I do like Tomoyo and all, but after seeing how much Tomoya loved Nagisa in After Story... I think it would be too strange for me. xD Also, I never really noticed Tomoyo acting like she had a crush on him in Clannad, unlike most of the other girls.

@khoraski Depends on the Visual Novel in question. Some VNs have H scenes popping up all over the place whilst others can drag on their scenes for nearly 1/2 and hour ( If you don't spam the CTRL key anyway )
But yeah , story oriented VNs like Tomoyo After have minimal H scenes.

If they just wanted to do a hentai version of Clannad they would have (they did Little Busters Ecstasy as the H-version of Little Busters even though they also did the Kud Wafter spin-off to LB). According to the main writer of Clannad he really liked Tomoyo and wanted to do more with her but couldn't in the Clannad-setting so he instead pushed to make a spin-off based on Tomoyo and expand her scenario. Of course, the H-thing probably had a bit of weight.

The Clannad series were really good, i really enjoyed seeing it.
Also i loved the last episode of the first season about Sakagami Tomoyo being the couple of tomoya.

@bugypad I hope they don't make tomoya die at the end though, because in the visual novel it was left open for interpretation. In the manga they made him die, which doesn't really fit with the whole theme of clannad imo.
@MatheusRebelo Both arcs were well-made. However, Kyou chapter felt a bit 'rushed' (not in the sense that it's badly made but the story progresses quicker than preferred) but has a very good plot. Either way, both arcs made emotions flux.

The manu has no problems, it's in japanese however it bugs me that i cant read the subtitles too :)).

This isn't exactly a side route, more makes Tomoyo the main character of as a sequel because she was so popular. Personally she is my favorite character by far, and I'd love to play this but i don't understand torrents enough to do it lol, but there is a manga of this online and if your a fan of her I would advise to read it.

@gamerguy50 I would, for sure. It's a very different story than the original and just as touching. Tomoyo may have been more of a "side character" in the original anime, but Tomoyo After turned her into one of the VN world's greatest leading ladies, strong and faithful.

At first, I thought that it just wasn't fair... but then I reminded myself that the story may be better that way because this is reality. There was a translation project for it at Baka-Tsuki but it's been temporarily stalled due to the departure of several translators sigh. I'm just glad the page is still intact so future translators can have a go at it. I have the game (just in case) and hopefully I'll able to enjoy this beautiful visual novel in the future -_-. In the meantime the Little Busters! English project is halfway complete lol.

The only reason nagisa exists is because we need someone to kill on that game/cartoon to add drama. she's a complete brainless wuss but on the comics version, she actually did something very intelligent and that was to force or ask tomoya for them to visit tomoya's father. this is not found on the cartoon version though... although tomoyo after is the a sequel to clannad(alternate version where tomoyo and tomoya are now a couple, tragedy still strikes on this one...

@nevrest I won't go into any more detail 'cause of spoiler problems, but... well, when it was all over, my heart sank. At first, I thought that it just wasn't fair... but then I reminded myself that the story may be better that way because this is reality. Life can give you what you want, but it can just as easily take it away. But the beautiful thing, the true mark of courage, is that you go on regardless and find a way to keep the faith alive.

Awesome song, I really loved Clannad... This and Toradora! was what got me into romance anime, and got me watching a lot. Also, I've been gathering a lot of songs from anime, anime radio, Japanese, etc, and I have a playlist with a lot of songs. I love hearing new Japanese songs, so please check it out. iam so happy about this as i was playing clannad (still havent finished) i was wishing that the after story was with tomoyo of kyou because there my faves (i still like nagisa though) so when i found out about tis there was a OMG moment.

Didn't you know that before clannad became an Anime it was a novel game! and you can see Fuko,Kotomi,Kyou,Ryou and Nagisa's Different ending in there!

There was a translation project for it at Baka-Tsuki but it's been temporarily stalled due to the departure of several translators sigh. I'm just glad the page is still intact so future translators can have a go at it. I have the game (just in case) and hopefully I'll able to enjoy this beautiful visual novel in the future -_-. In the meantime the Little Busters! English project is halfway complete lol.

The only reason nagisa exists is because we need someone to kill on that game/cartoon to add drama. she's a complete brainless wuss but on the comics version, she actually did something very intelligent and that was to force or ask tomoya for them to visit tomoya's father. this is not found on the cartoon version though... although tomoyo after is the a sequel to clannad(alternate version where tomoyo and tomoya are now a couple, tragedy still strikes on this one...
