  • Were you a nerd in school?

  • thumbs up if you knew all of this

  • I have several questions for the last experiment( Candle Vacuum)

Why did the candle always lost its fire?

Any other explanations for that experiment?

How can you make it interactive?

Why did the water replace the oxygen instead of other oxygen?

  • buttertroll is fake, its your account, it was made on the same day as this video -__-

  • LOL I thought when he said extinguish with carbon dioxide, he meant he was going to blow on it XD

  • BACON SODA?

  • People need to stop being surprised when people know scientific facts at an age where it's appropriate to know these scientific facts.

  • 1:15 back ground music f u f u f u

  • nahhhhh, you just pissed in the tube, after drinking 2lt of water, after 45 minutes.

  • can you make a video on where to get supplies for all your videos cheap

  • the thing at the end, with the water, the main bacteria,is fecal cloriform, it smells like shit!

i did this last year in Biology

  • Come on, use the candles to make a bomb!

  • Make some water-oil experiments!! :D

  • Alreaddy know all these stuff ;(

  • Comment removed

  • show us how to build a sand filter :D

  • i knowed number 3 from howcast

  • If you want to have clean water just boil it then take a bottle poke som holes in the bottom then fill it with charcoal and sand pour the water through the bottle and it will drip almost 100% clean through the holes. Thumbs up so everyone can see.

  • it looks like pee

  • Water, then add food coloring,..? why just use wine, or soda, or any colored liquid,...? you added a step that you don't need to do,... see old version,....

    youtube.com/watch?v=znL5yLgDavk

  • @heyscuba well IDK if you hear him or not but he said that you dont have to add food coloring, he also said that it was just to help see what was happening... (ps water works better than wine or soda cuz it is less dens....

  • @aqrzpro I disagree, how can water work better than something that works at a rate of 100%,...? I use wine and soda all the time and it sucks all of it up into the glass, my point is when you do tricks like this and teach them you want to make them as simple as possible, so adding a component like "now grab some food coloring and add it to the water.." you just changed the whole game,.... see my vid, "wine in an upside down wine glass"

  • your in love with food colour

  • FIRE FART!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

  • i would punch someone in the face if they wrote their ns backwards

  • Thumbs up if you paused at 0:20 because you was to slow :/

  • @1mini1music1man1 do you know how stupid you are? Temperature has nothing. NOTHING! To do with suction in ANY WAY POSSIBLE suction is when one element is forced away and have another forced in temperature has no influence whatsoever on suction btw I'm 14 I hope that me telling my age proves that I'm smarter

  • @bobman3563 actually if theres cold water in a sealed container and you heat it you have pressure AKA steam thats how old trains work and if you take hot water and cool it down you have suction and btw im 13 so beat that

  • @bobman3563 actually if theres cold water in a sealed container and you heat it you have pressure AKA steam thats how old trains work and if you take hot water and cool it down you have suction and btw im 13 so beat that

  • @bobman3563 No he's completely right. Temperature and pressure are relative to eachother, meaning if one goes up, the other goes down, and vice versa. He may have gotten his semantics a little messed up, but the basic idea still stands. High temperatures create low pressures, causing the water to be sucked in, in order for equilibrium to be reached inside of the glass.

  • @BowmanMaster yes but no matter what the removeal of oxygen will still cause suction.

  • i paused at 0:19. wat now!! thumbs if ur this awesome

  • 1:21 brusspup done that !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • can I do smaller

  • Also the vapor is that burns the candle not the wick neither wax does

  • @1mini1music1man1

if you say the air molecule condense...means it will expand at 1st...

but you dint state that... and expand + condense = no more...

    and its not condense...its contract...

air molecule contract... condense water mean vapor turn into water

and yes...it IS from the oxygen running out...

    condense your ass dumbass...

  • Turn the water into beer so it's not contamined.I'm serious.

  • A question... How does the nasty water turn nasty in the first place? I think some charities should help with destroying the trash first. Like the candle vaccuum, when water is cleaned up and trash is removed, more trash comes to fill the gap.

  • he i not real enough to be einstein zigmanist

  • u should be einstien

  • well... if you all more trust the explaination in the comments, he is just explaining the simplest explanation.

  • i would help but i am 11

  • Just kidding.

  • FML IM GOING TO ASSASSINATE OBAMA. WHOSE WITH ME??!!!!!!!!!

  • the smoke one pwns :)

  • The vacuum happens not because of the oxygen running out but because of change in temperature… I will explain: first the burning candle increases the temperature in the glass and as soon as the candle burns out, the temperature decreases rapidly and the air molecules condense and suck the water into the container. I am 14 years old

  • @1mini1music1man1 applause him ... -.-

  • Here is why the video's explanation made a mistake, even if it is well made.

In combustion, oxygen is replaced with carbon dioxide (O2 -> CO2). All gases have equal molar volume at equal temperature and pressure according to the "ideal gas law". Because the number of gas molecule regardless of changing composition is constant throughout the demonstration, only the lowering temperature can cause the change in volume or pressure. (Please look up the gas laws for more information.)

  • @1mini1music1man1 i dont give a fuck what age you are

  • @1mini1music1man1 Lol. You're wrong. If the oxygen were in fact expanding, then it would need some of it to escape the glass. If this happened, then you would see bubbles appearing. However, this doesn't happen, so oxygen must have been depleted.

Furthermore, even if the glass is cooling down, it would never become colder than the temperature it was originally under the same conditions. So that means that, overall, the air would expand. I am 15, but I have known this since I was 11.

  • @1mini1music1man1 wrong the candle burns up the air and the vacuum sucks the water into the glass

  • @1mini1music1man1 and you told us that why?

  • @1mini1music1man1 HouseholdHacker was right, he said THE CANDLE goes out because the oxygen is used up. Not that it creates a vacuum because of the lack of oxygen.

  • @1mini1music1man1 Also stop trying to be punctual, we all know you're not.

  • @1mini1music1man1 Thats true, or say it easy water take place for the oxygen

  • @1mini1music1man1 No one wants you to explain, we want to watch the video. Take your half-assed explanations and "explain" them to someone who cares. Do you think you have some kind of inside knowledge when you copy and paste?

  • @1mini1music1man1 then does the water go into the glass before the flame is out?

  • @1mini1music1man1 Actually it has not yet been decided which causes most of the effect, it is clear that the water is being sucked up before and after the candle burns out, so im sorry to say this but you're half wrong.

  • @1mini1music1man1 Wow, Einshten, now go back to the nice man's white van.

  • @1mini1music1man1 The oxygen gets pushed out of the cup, without the oxygen it creates a vacuum and sucks up the water. Ever heard of space? It has no oxygen, which is why they call space a vacuum. By the way, I am 14.

Post script. Did you know that vacuum derives from the word vacuus meaning empty?

  • @1mini1music1man1 nah, its a combination of both.

  • @1mini1music1man1 im 15 years old, been kicked out of three schools and even i know your wrong.

  • @1mini1music1man1

my science teacher knows of this. she ALWAYS tells the truth and even she said thats wrong

    im 11

  • @1mini1music1man1 Your wrong. The burning oxygen uses up the oxygen and causes a decrease in air pressure. Because of the decrease in air pressure inside the cup, the water is pushed into the cup since the air pressure is greater outside the cup. Yeah, im 14 years old too...

  • @1mini1music1man1 you know where theres a vacum Theres no air right?

  • @1mini1music1man1 Failzor, @Michiganwolverine17 is right, you dont need to feel great for knowing wrong facts when youre 14 years old

  • @1mini1music1man1 no one gives a crap how old you are. i may be younger than you, but i obviously know a heck of a lot more than you do

  • @1mini1music1man1 u are a dumb ass it doesn't run out cuz of temperature it runs out cuz the oxygen is the fuel for the fire and since the oxygen is running out it needs somthin to take its place in the container till the fire is out, im a year younger then u and i know that

  • @1mini1music1man1 first, what happens when the tempature returns to room tempature? accorfding to your id ea the air would expand again and the w ater would be realised. i have left the exper iment for hours and the water level stayed the same. second hot cold air is denser than hot air. according to you when the candle was buring the tempature would rise. this would cause t he suction. the raipid cooling wo uld cause expansion. third, air cant heat that fasy.

  • @1mini1music1man1 i think you are thinking of when a can of hot water is plunged into coldwater. the low pressure of the hot water and to the high pressure of the cold water create a vacume and crush the can. but what you wrote was the other way around. besides like i said, air cant heat that fast. not with a candle anyway

  • is there any way to make your remote into like a speaker so you could say volume up and stuff

  • woooooooooohoooooooo

    coooooooool

  • Don't people in third-world countries have fire? Because boiling water renders it biologically safe...

  • i dont know if i wanna drink my water anymore

  • no we are 2 whit voring

  • no we are 2nd whit voring

  • Candles + Tricks = Candle Tricks... No shit Sherlock!

  • @1414ever Thank you Watson! XD

  • Dirty water kills more people per year than every dictator, terrorist, any tyrant. We need to start spending trillions of dollars a year to search out these amoebas and carpet bomb them.

  • 338 ppl are retarded

  • Comment removed

  • you can do 1:20 with two matches too, it's pretty fun to do infront of your friends as a magic trick

  • i thought that you were going to mix a candle with trix yogurt

  • in the third trick in the latino community we call thos ventosas

  • Comment removed

  • i could have told you it was unsafe to drink without a bacteria test. its called using my eyeballs.

  • :o a new way to blow out my birthday candles xD

  • buttertroll 43 made 338 youtube account to dislike this video! xD

  • if you live in queensland or anywhere in australia you can get a job as a miner or train driver at QR national and get a fair bit of money aswell as getting free clean drinking water suppied for you in large boxes of about 22 to 24 bottles.

  • jobs today jobs right now careerstarttoday(dot)info employers waiting

  • wat about just exhaling for the first one lol...

  • these are some odd satanic rituals you got here...

  • wtf

  • We did the Second experiment in school on the 5th grade

  • Obvious troll is obvious

  • Thumbs up if you paused at 0:18 .

  • when you said we can blow out a candle with carbon dioxide i thought u were just going to blow on the fire

  • Thumbs up if you didn't know that already

  • #LOL

  • @PersonCreatureThing #LOL u jelly?

  • 4200 people are dead and like this but the other 545 like to see water being seen said un-drinkable and thinking of how ingenious their scheme was and how would have gotten away with it if it weren't for 4 people and their talking pooch

  • pause at 0:03 #LOL

  • I'm kind of curious as to how many of those people that drink that water have the common sense to boil it first.

  • but will it blend?

  • How funny it'll be when he says "let's see how dirty this water is", it doesn't turn yellow to show bacteria.

  • so i should put my candle in ceareal? ZING!

  • NOW YOUR THINKING WITH SCIENCE BITCH!

  • dude he just pee in it...

  • OMG I TRIED THE 3rd ONE AND IT WORKED!!!!

  • OMG I TRIED THE LAST ONE AND IT WORKED!!!!

  • no new tricks ;( i have done that 100 times

  • I have the same glasses as you! (Drinking glasses)

  • @MrMADAXEMAN13 ME TOO!

  • N 3 amazing! :D

  • Press 3 then 4 for a magic trick ;)

  • Are you wearing a protest the hero shirt?

  • HOLD DOWN 8 FOR TITIES!!!!!

  • wow funny buttertroll

  • you didn't say that you needed a lighter so i didn't use one!!!

  • 1:03 drugs!

  • sorry but your logic for the candle vacuum is inaccurate. The oxygen in replaced by carbon dioxide. The vacuum is created from the heat of the candle. As it heats the air inside the glass the air expands pushing air out, then when as the air cool it contracts which in turn pulls the water into the glass. Just thought you should know.

  • What dirty water has bacteria in it ?

You sir just opened my eyes !

  • kids in other places need water we play at splash contrey

  • Hold down 6 - Rapid blinking

Hold down 7 - Shake that bottle!

  • keep holding 0

  • rawmusic

  • Trick one: can't you just blow on them you Goldberg you?

  • @clintmmartin You Win 0.o...

  • Omg! I did the re-light the candle with the smoke over and over. lol :P

  • good things i lern

  • Hate to say it but that water helps keep the world under population control.

  • SO is householdhacker owned by revision3 now?

  • that would be helpful if ur too lazy to blow a candle

  • This was on bill nye

  • ive done this before

  • 42,000 = 1 week

    1 week = 7 days

    365 days = 1 year

    2,190,000 people die a year

    Wait who the fuck cares?

  • @BigWetChode typical american

    thanks for supporting the stereotype

  • :41 mix the baking soda and VINNAR together? wtf is a vinnar lol :p

  • @dkrush08 Vinegar..

  • @booyaka3 lol i know

  • can't the they boil the waterr? i meen dont they have fire over ther?

  • @vivelajonny They do but they don't have pots to put the water into so they can boil it.

  • btw, can you cut the Candle with Katana on the half without candle falling of? :D

  • all experiments are realthis time.. Thumbing up only this video.

  • Not really scientific - I learned these in grade 3

  • @physcovideos just because there simple and easy and most of us already know this does not make it non-scientific

  • why spend time, money and effort shipping water when you can spend as much money making a well. 1 guy, 1 truck, 1 water pump, one day... all you need then is rocks and a little support from the village.

  • looks like piss in a vial

  • The water is fucking green. I could have told you there was bacteria in there with my eyes.

  • @Omfgn0wai He could of put green food die in fresh water and put some algae in it

  • @Omfgn0wai Actually, the green in the water is the chlorophyll in algae and other small simpler plant formations. Not Bacteria, You cannot possible see bacteria with the naked eye. Sorry to make you sound like a little bitch.

  • @moonslayer53 Didn't say I could see bacteria. Just said considering the water is green I think its safe to assume there is bacteria. Sorry to make you sound like a know it all ashore.. oh wait I didn't do that... you did.

  • @Omfgn0wai meant asshole BTW. The spell correction on my phone want very good. ;)

  • @Omfgn0wai there was universal indicator, its saying the water was nuetral

  • @Omfgn0wai WIZARD EYES O ___o

  • @Omfgn0wai yes but the point is to help
