  • please spell our last name right, it is Kaapana, not Kapana, Mahalo

  • Much respect from Nolan's! Napilihau pride! Absolutely mesmerizing!

  • Any idea how he has that tuned? Wonderful skills. Had never heard him on a uke.

  • @2Tommief it is tuned gCEA with the g being an octave higher than might be expected. It is standard tuning for most soprano ukes today. This guy features on some of the Jim Beloff instructional DVD's - when he get's going, Ledward is like the Jimi Hendrix of Uke.

  • @PaliGap1 He he. Jimi Hendrix of Ukulele. Now Kapana is more of a guitarplayer then an ukuleleplayer. Although Kapana and Henrix is like day and night, they hay one thing in common, talent.

  • @2Tommief (low g)-c-e-a. Standard Tenor Ukulele tuning.

  • sounds like the guitar is singing the song word for word...

    Alotta respect for the kupuna's

  • Such a wonderful arrangement and performance! Boy! That Pono sounds great!

  • Oh my gosh, he is killing me softly! What a master! Reigning champ is right. No ka 'oi, Unco!

  • that was absolutely amazing.

  • da reigning champ unko Ledward.....

  • I've always loved this song, but Led makes it soar! Love the Spanish feel to it.... mahalo for posting it!

  • Beautiful arrangement. Led has a very Hawaiian way of playing. NICE!
