I got a Pentium 5 with an Ati 1350/1500 series card and gameplay is choppy and laggy. I got a 1GB Ram and 2.66 Gigahertz  it can't even run wolfenstine.

try this command in game press the tilde key to bring down your console, /set com_max fps 0  it basically give you a no limit on your fps, but if you want a smooth fps try to set it at 100.

From what frame rates in getting in COD4...It could probably run it on 800x600 everything set to low and you could maybe get around 15-30 FPS

Well if you overckocked you're Memory clock and you're core clock to much then your screen can act all wierd. I tryed mine at 802.50 core clock. and I got the blue screen of death. Its probably you just overclocked it to much

From what I see onboard VGA's are not very good for gaming. Onboard VGA tends to be very unreliable. For example I had one before I built my new computer. And it basically slowed down everything. I played Call of duty 1 and I got 15 FPS. MAXIMUM! I would sugest getting a new video card. If you're motherboard has PCI express x16 or just a PCI slot. Maybe just maybe could you run COD4, very doughtful though. Sorry

Tyle in google. ATI Tool overclocking. It should come up with multiple links. Click any one. Download it. Then run the software. And theres a slider that goes up and down. I have mine set at 731.50 MHZ core clock. 412.75 core clock.

That sounds awesome man. For 3-4 thousand dollar rig you can get 3 way sli, 3 video cards, AMD is awesome but Intel makes great processors like the Q6600...that one awesome processor. thing about 3 way sli is that you need a special motherboard the 680i or 780i to run 3 way SLI, those boards cost between 200-400$ I would sugest for the rig that your getting an Intel processor and 3 way sli with a 680i or 780i motherboard.
