one of the most popular regressive progressive rock music in France this was. Very lukewarm. Just but all poor imitation there are nothing like Ange, Gong, Carpe Diem, Wapassou etc. etc.
"Tout le jour, nous ferons de grands feux sur le sable et dans le ciel obscur, nos chants s'élèveront, et les hérons frileux, figés dans les marécages, effrayés, s'enfuiront, emportant vers les nuages nos angoisses au-delà des contrées de l'oubli. Fantômes évanescents sous une forêt d'étoiles. Puis je m'endormirai au creux de mon amour. À l'aube, la rosée prolongera mon rêve..."
So good to know there are other Pulsarians out there...I think I & my friend Bob were the only 2 people in the state of Nebraska who knew of them in the 70s (we were really into buying European prog LPs from JEM imports at the time). This is my favorite song from this album, and for me, their masterpiece--their Sgt. Pepper--is HALLOWEEN. Some of the most mesmerizing, hypnotic, atmospheric, BRILLIANT prog of all time. Hope to see them soon now that they're back together.
I've had a copy since at least the late `70's or early `80's and I don't think I've ever heard it more than twice. I'll have to whip it out and have another listen.
I saw them playing this whole LP in Lisbon, the year it was released. Great show! I lost my copie, and I'd love to ear it again on youtube... Thanks for the upload. Pulsar is one of the best bands ever.
I have loved this band from the mid 70s,ive just looked them up on here and there they are,i have never listen to a band yet in my life who can take me where pulsar can,the best there is in my mind amazing
@JamesIsMyNamo Indeed there is the grand old argument that modern prog really isn't prog at all, since it's just a mashup of old prog. I agree with that argument. Prog is a way of doing things. It's about creativity and unconventionality. And there really are only a few artists today that fit my definition of prog. Kayo Dot, Flying Lotus, Grizzly Bear, Radiohead, etc..
Quiet, beautifull, awesome.

The flute part is very reminiscent of King Crimson. Nice band.

This album sounds incredible! Demo listen blew my mind, one of those record shop "Get it off the player NOW, I'll take it!" moments...
Brilliant!
