I would like this project if it was moved a couple of blocks away from the ESB's profile and if they replaced the current design w/ the full 1250ft Tower Verre; that's a modern design with class.
This building is just plain ugly. And to put it literally right next to the Empire State Building? That's an insult and disgrace to New York. If you're going to make a skyscraper which will overpower the ESB, at least make it fucking beautiful. Otherwise put it somewhere far away. The architect who designed this giant penis should be shot.
the building owners said it would disrupt the view from the empire state building. im guessing it would also disrupte the amount of money the empire state building makes as well, which is probably what they are worried about more...
I love the building don't get me wrong (its a great design) but to put it like right infront of the ESB thats just wrong. It will block the view! (Even though the ESB is more then 300 feet taller with the anteana)

@eau9999 Im ALL for BIG TALL towers for NY-HOWEVER, this tower is NOT attractive- this architecture firm builds this same building design all over the world! If this tower is going to forever change our skyline and be this intrusive, it needs a new design thats specifically designed for NY and not a copy of other towers! This is NY-a SPECIAL city, not a copycat! We deserve a MUCH nicer building design than this cheap, bulky,. glassy, peice of KRAPPP! I say redesign it--- or dont build it!

I love the Empire state and it really represent NY but now it's old and a major global city like New York should always have a new and changing skyline this tower would be fantastic for the city it's a great idea
@lekesha00 No its not an awful idea I checked the skyline in google earth and it fits in well... Some people are just too attached to the current skyline (with the esb sticking out) if it gets built people will get used to it eventually.... People are always going to have a problem with skyscraper proposals....
@Izakokomarixyz well, I don't need to check google to see that. I can stick my head out of the window to see how ugly it would be. they are also building a highrise hotel in harlem which is destroying the culture there. NYC will be one corporate office in like 10 yrs.
