I noticed the dragonflies' eyes seem to shine in a manner simular to a semiprecious stone known as chrysoberyl, such shining of light is known as chatoyancy, but I don't think it is the same as we see here.
@vanjastanic do you like mosquetos? because what im going to tell you will make you believe that dragonflies are the most beautiful insects on the planet, they EAT mosquetos!
Awsome video thanks for posting........Nature is amazing.....alot of people take it for granted......sometimes you have to stop and admire how beautiful nature is......
I haven't found an explanation online, but I assume it's some kind of prism effect - reflecting light at different colors depending on the angle. It's a lot like the last shot on my "Hummingbirds" video -- the bird's throat isn't really red, but when it turns and the light hits it just right it looks like a brilliant red because there are prisms in those feathers.
That's pretty amazing. I really like how each close-up provides a quirky expression....almost. A slight turn of the head here, there. Smiles. Jaws chomping. It really as been an amazing video. Thank you so much for sharing.
WOW, you have no idea how long I've been looking for an up-close reference of dragonfly mouthparts. THis was exactly what I needed, thanks!

Sorry, had to add something else. It'd be cute if each dragonfly had a voiceover, something to say. I don't know.

Whoa, the last one totally tripped me out. It's eyes changed. How does that happen?

@timvid or It simply could be reflection but it mightbe a prism effect.
