This video is so out of sync with the music it ruins the awesome effect of the original music video and it is a complete waste of time to watch it here.
i remember seeing this among other great MTV videos of that era.. i also vaguely remember my stepfather watching Benny Hill.. wow.. where did that come from? I loved growing up in the 80's.. the music, clothes, movies, videos, Atari !! Simon, lol i can keep going on.. Hulk Hogan's Rockin wrestling!! omfg!! im gonna stop now!!
this video gave me the creeps as a kid.. i remember watching this on MTV in the early 80's.. i was 7 yrs old.. my sis was in high school. the beat was great but the video itself is much on a child that age.
@roosevelthighschool I was just watching an interview with him actually and he was talking about how he had nothing to do with this. He was even a little weirded out by it and didn't know if it was any good. Everyone kinda congragulated ihm on it but he wasn't sure why
So many drugs were consumed to film this video. "Man, you don't get it, LEGS, just LEGS (wearing HOT PANTS), walking around the room and some BIRD thing at the window. It's a reflection on modern society as we know it!"
@koppibopp I thank you, Kopp. I was originally trying mull thru my grief looking thru old Whitney Houston's vids and said what the hell, lemme click on some related vids. Then i read your comment!! I almost fell out the chair laughin!! CTFU!!!!! Thank you. My weekend has been dampered by the WH news but YOU made me forget that for about ten minutes!!! <3 ya for that!! LMAO!!
When ever this video came on in the 80s, at the beginning, I always would think, what is this, it sounds good. Then the video would play on and then I would think, oh its that video. But the music sounds very good, even now. It was kind of ahead of its time.
so so far ahead of its time. its was like nothing you,d ever heard before when this came about.it could have been by flash gordon as far as anyone was concerned,it was and still is a groovy hard house track.
The ONLY thing that would make this video scarier for little children is, if there were a room full of heads running around, with their chickens cut off
Takes me back, this. Cutting edge shit at the time. Take me back there now! Beachcombers in Hackney. The Beehive on the Roman Road. Tipples, Septembers, Cart and Horses, Flappers. Lager in a fishbowl. Blazers and Burberry. Coming home at sun up. The smell of wet fish on your fingers. Cos I just ate some cockles! Jeez, you people...
The sound is off by what... 10-15 seconds at least? Horrible, especially for a video like this where the movements are in time with the song. While uploading is appreciated, if you can't be bothered to do a good upload then don't bother at all.
Herbie Hancock 's music combined with the art of Jim Whiting was the thrill. I visit after the release of the video an exhibition of Whiting and I was very impressed of the figures. Rock it!
They should give Rockit by H.H. a try.
