  • Sums up Robot Wars, way better than the current TV. Bring back the old days!

  • sorry to say but i would have used Requium for a Dream

  • @shellysabin123

A classic, no doubt...but I didn't have that song, and Welcome to the Jungle was the first song that came into my head that I felt would best go with a tribute to the show.

  • I went and saw Robots live today at my leisure center, Bigger brother, Storm 2 and beohomoth (Dunno how its spelt) were there and i was reliving my younger years... a young girl holding a card board Hypnodisk and a Card board bigger brother sitting infront of her TV yelling 3.2.1 ACTIVATE as loud as she could.... Those where the days

  • @adriciscute3

I know. I saw several Robot Wars live events, one was at the MEN arena in Manchester, others were filming of Extreme and the Seventh Series. Got to meet Behemoth, Razer, Chaos 2, Hypnodisc and so many more roboteers. Great memories

  • @MrDCWood This was different, based on Robot wars but it was totally different, i would have loved to see one of the big shows =(

  • Hell yeah! My young years and Robot Wars =)

  • Reads first two sentences of the description - I could not have said that better myself! :)

  • A double bill of Simpsons and Robot Wars would be the perfect friday night tv!

  • @spongebot64

    ABSO-FLIPPIN-LUTELY, mate!

  • i watched this show when i was 2/3 years old and i totally loved id sadly my mother wasnt very happy with that

  • Great Tribute =3 I love "Bigger Brother", "Hypnodisc", "Thermadore 2", "Pussycat" and "Wheeley Big Cheese" ='3 Great tribute and Robot Wars will be forever in my heart! LET THE WAAAARRRRRS BEGIN!!!

  • And it launched the career of Jonathon Pearce! Who came from channel 5, and is 2day a BBC sports commentator!

  • This show was awesome! It's just a shame it got cancelled. And as much as ppl will try and say it was due to falling viewing figures, etc, it wasn't. Due to the BBC closing their Visual Effects department, the House Robots effectively lost their home, and had no one to run them effectively. Also, the move to channel 5 is what really destroyed it, as ppl wanted Robot Wars on a friday night, not on a boring sunday afternoon!

  • @RoLLWithITOasis1

I agree with you, friend. The move to channel 5 was a disaster. They kept putting the show on different times, which was confusing and completely diminished that great feeling you got knowing Robot Wars was on every friday at 6:45 straight after a double bill of The Simpsons on BBC 2.

  • Great tribute, I loved it.

  • @PurpleMudkip

    Thank you.

  • My favourite TV program ever as a kid, and in the days before Big Brother, the most watched TV program on a friday night! :D

  • Awesome video! Epic stuff. Great song to match, and fantastic work with the footage. So many memories of being an 8-year old and seeing Cassius Chrome self-right for hte first time, Chaos 2 flip a bot out of the arena for the first time, HypnoDiscs first ever fight, Pussycat, Razer, my favourite bot Tornado win Series 6, and all the time I'd have my own arena built from a fruit box and be reenacting the battles...awesome stuff. A sad victim of health and safety? who knows. We'll miss you RW.

  • @NightFightah

Thanks for the feedback, mate. Glad you liked the vid. I miss this show as well. I grew up on it, and it was my absolute favourite.

  • It's only now years later now I'm 16 I found out that there are re-runs on Dave at 2pm. And its only by watching those re-runs that I've realised how cheesy this show was. But I still love it. And although it never happened I have this image in my head of Sir Killalot being flipped into the pit by Chaos 2.

  • @kingkong381 That was the sort of thing you did with the pullback toys, right? I remember stuff like that always happening in my fights...sad as it is but I even dug up a fictional report I did of a heat I played out involving Chaos 2, Wheeley Big Cheese, Razer, X-Terminator 2, a lego version of 259, and several fictional robots I either made out of Lego or found at the local discount store. Brought back so many memories!

  • @NightFightah

I loved those pullback toys. They had such class. Chaos 2, Razer, Wheely, Big Cheese, Mr Psycho, Dead Metal and Dantomkia were my favourites.

  • @MrDCWood Funnily enough I NEVER got the Dead Metal one. No idea why, Ive got nothing against Dead Metal in any way! just never happened upon it. Never had Dantomkia either. Kinda wish I'd kept them all :P I remember I'd delibrately build a robot out of something flimsy like an Ibroprofen packet or something just so I pitch them against Hypnodisc and enact complete chaos upon them :P

  • I agree wholeheartedly with what you said in the description. Robot Wars was my favourite show when I was growing up, and this just brings it alllll back. :D

I miss being a six year old kid who had nightmares about being chased by Sir Killalot...

  • Nice

  • brill, a great montage of robots

    infinity/10!

  • Awesome video! :)

  • Robot Wars and Guns & Roses FTW!

  • That's what I was thinking during production. Cheers, man.

  • Now wait a minute. You said you got your audio blocked but then got it back. How exactly?

  • Disputed the copyright.

  • It's sorted, boys and girls! ENJOY!

  • The sensitive morons from WMG strike again it seems. I've only jut put this video up and they disabled the soundtrack! Sorry everyone. I'll try and fix the problem somehow.
