  • isnt the 82nd an airmobile division now?- I'm not american (which is not much of an excuse I admit) so I dont know. May look it up

  • @whycantweBfirends 101st airborne is now air assault. Thats what you may be thinking of

  • @EhMiles maybe, hmm I could have sworn 82nd was airmobile (by that i mean not just airborne)

  • @whycantweBfirends True....the 82nd does deploy using helicopters, just like every other infantry division. Airmobile or "Air Assault" refers directly to fast roping from the helicopter, something specific to the 101st and the Rangers.

  • "Theres rust on the stock Pvt.Bullshit, pass revoked!"

    Anyone know that one?

  • @johhnyboyish Seriously, Malark....half of these comments on here are about B.O.B.

  • Wish they would make a mini series about the 82nd airborne like they did with the 101st in Band of brothers,

  • I had the honor to train with with the 82nd in 1988 and '89.

What a grand time we had.

And if you're rigger - your beer is on me!

  • "lieutenant we'll be turning you over to the 82 now. They're good soldiers the 82, just be sure to keep your hand on your wallet at all times.." anyone know the reference?

  • @Stevezom A Bridge Too Far

  • @azazel221 yeah, i like those classical American and English interesting sentences...

  • I'm honoured to say that we're on the same side.

  • Just want to say thank you for your service to all men and women who served, all branches past, present, and future. I long to serve my great country and i hold the dream of being a Ranger serving in the 75th Ranger Regiment and the 82nd airborne parachute infantry regiments! AIRBORNE!

  • Happy Veteran's Day!

  • Absent Companions, Never Forgotten!!

  • Hooah! Long live the All American 82nd Airborne Division. I hope to join them soon after high school. Stay safe boys.

  • whorahhh!

  • @hobohappy111 thats the marine corps

  • I remember hearing my dad sing this to me when I was little, along with several others. He sang them to me every night until he passed away. Still know every word to them =))

  • ALERT: 16 British paratroopers from 22 SAS Regiment out of Credenhill United Kingdom were captured in Sirte last night. All others in a squad of 44 were killed while landing. Casualty figures for members of the 82nd Airbone out of North Carolina whose transport plane was shot down at Ras Lanuf days ago while trying to land to secure the now destroyed largest Libyan oilfields are not yet confirmed. RAF pilot Julian Manyon is still being held in Libyan custody.

  • @americaisbacktrump Totally realistic. Especially the part where the 82nd was shot down while trying to land. The Double A doesn't jump at all while trying to seize an oil feild. Makes sense.

  • @azazel221 which is why they were landing at the airport which was the safest bet. RIP and scew Obama. Unbeknownst to them the Libyan army had killed the NATO-al Qaeda Rats guarding the facility and they flew straight into an ambush. RIP and screw Obamas secret war. Libyan army have now destroyed Ras Lanuf oil facility (the largest in Libya) and the airport including buildings and landing strip. They have withdrawn to defend the town.

  • @americaisbacktrump Except that an airborne unit doesn't need to land in a plane. Think about it a bit before you buy into this ridiculous crap.

  • @azazel221 They do when there is a large amount of Libyan Army micro-units all around the permiter waiting to turkey-shoot stray parachutes. Unfortuntly for them the perimiter was breached. Believe what you wish. it will all come out in the end. paste: burning plane 82nd airborne ras lanuf into google images. Photo released by Libyan Army military intelligence.

  • @americaisbacktrump What the hell are you talking about? Paratroopers jump into those exact situations. It's much more cost effective to lose a few soldiers over a plane. So you secure the field, then land. The US never considers anything secure unless the US has people on the ground. Your tactics are all wrong. Did you happen to see if the Libyan Army Military Intelligence might have taken that picture from somewhere else? Like, I don't know, the UK? From a training exercise?

  • @americaisbacktrump Google "Manston in Action" This is where your picture came from. You won't believe it though. You're so concerned with believing in the lie that when you're slapped in the face with the truth, the truth becomes the lie. The germans tried to convince the US that the Statue of Liberty was kaput. Saying it doesn't make it true. Lifting photos off a website and claiming it's something else doesn't either. They didn't even bother to edit the photo!

  • @americaisbacktrump Hey dumb ass its Airborn for a reason WE JUMP!! we dont land get shit right dude

  • 82nd Airborne Division got a fail in Libya.

    383 American invaders are dead.

NAZI who think what they may bomb and invade independent state for oil or some thing, YOU MUST KNOW what you are not a soldiers (not a humans too).

And I am smile when you got a fail :)

Libya will win, because you fight for oil when they fight for their motherland.

  • @Tagashka Wow.....that statement is rife with inaccuracies. You're entitled to your opinion, but it's important to base it in fact.

  • @azazel221, inaccuracies??? Ок.

Barack Hussein Obama ordered to start operation «Odyssey Dawn».

And you (NATO) start invasion in Libya.

You bomb Libyan cities (schools, universities, hospitals), you killed thousands civilian people and this all not for oil, just for Democracy™ and Liberty™. Right?

  • @azazel221 you have only one reason for invasion in Iraq. Before invasion you told to all the world what Iraq is dangerous because it have a weapons of mass destruction. Now I ask you, you found this weapons? No.You lied! You destroyed independent country, you killed 100 000 civilian people.

Only for control Iraqi oil. Your fucking country bring to other nations only pain and death.

Its not Democracy and Liberty! This is fascism!

  • @Tagashka Yeah....cuz Russia is totally innocent. Examine your own country's downfalls before jumping to conclusions about others. I've been to Iraq and Afghanistan. I didn't see any easy oil coming our way, because there is none. I saw a recently abandoned chemical factory in Iraq, but you won't find that in the papers anywhere. Libya has only one person to blame for the deaths of women and children, Quaddafi and his loyalist army who are committing genocide. But okay, you're right.

  • @Tagashka Not that we should be in Lybia, but your comment is rife with inaccuracy.

  • @FutureMarine1775USA show me this inaccuracies.

  • I think I like blood upon the risers better.

  • this is a great song

  • Awesome! Thanks for posting this and they're in our band's heart and minds, and our prayers, for their families too.

Jeff and Matt are Vets, Jeff was in the 82d ALL THE WAY! AIRBORNE!

  • Oh yeah, A-3-505 PIR, 82nd Airborne Division.....1996-1998 AATW!!!!!

  • Fuckin' A Brother (IEDmagnet-APO)

  • i love playing these songs on my WW2 rts games :).

  • I remember my dad humming this song as a kid

  • my neighbor was a member of the 82nd airborne and just resintly past away he was like my grandpa i miss him so much he would always tell us his war stories the greatest guy ever!!!!!! luv you!!!!

  • im really interested in airborne and cant decide betweed the 82nd 101st or the 173rd they all have different cons and pros i was wondering if anyone had suggestions.

  • @rookieangel88 Well, if you want to jump out of planes, you've got a very slim chance in the 101st. Only their LRS units jump. If you want to go to Italy and see Europe, then the 173rd is pretty choice, but look forward to expensive tickets home every time you want to take leave to the states. You pretty much have to make this decision yourself. Good luck!

  • @azazel221 thanks man.

  • @azazel221 hey i have a few more questions about the 82nd, if you apply for airborne school will you get accepted into the program no matter what? Also how much money could i make after four years of it? enough to get me a bachelors degree in college?

  • @rookieangel88 The only way anything is guaranteed in the military is if it is in your contract. If you want to go airborne, make sure that you tell your recruiter that you want an airborne contract. Where you end up can either be in your contract or up to the military. If you don't pass airborne school, you can be put in any unit in the Army. How much you get for college benefits has changed since I've gotten out. Look up your state's veteran's benefits and go to vba.va.gov to look up federal.

  • @rookieangel88 For example, when I enlisted, I had an 82nd Airborne 11X contract. The unit assignment guaranteed me a chance at airborne school. I was an infantryman, so when I went to basic I was put in an airborne/rip (ranger indoctrination program) platoon. They worked us extra hard to ensure that we had a good chance to pass our schools. After basic, Airborne school was easy in comparison. Most combat MOS (military occupational specialty) schools do the same thing.

  • @azazel221 so what your saying is when i enlist i can talk the recruiter into having a full contract that guarentees i get a chance at airborne school? is their a fail rate for the airborne students or is the 3 week class remotely easy?

  • @rookieangel88 Well...yes and no. If you want to go airborne, don't sign any contract that doesn't specify airborne school. If there isn't a need in the airborne units for more soldiers, there aren't any contracts offered. It all depends on what is available. If there's a slot available, it's first come, first served. Once you have your airborne contract, don't sign anything that might reassign you. It could waive your schools.

How easy school is depends on how ready you are, physically.

  • @azazel221 ok thanks alot man you were real helpful!

  • @azazel221 hey sorry to keep messaging you like this but another thing i was wondering was, does the 173rd still have to go to airborne school in georgia being that technically their an air aussault unit now? and also when in the 82nd did you ever get sick of jumping out of planes, or was it a fun time?

  • @rookieangel88 The 173rd is still airborne. The 101st is air assault. All airborne candidates attend Airborne School at Ft. Benning, GA. Jumping is only fun if you make it fun (at least after you actually figure out what youyou're doing).

  • @rookieangel88

I was in Italy from '89-'91 (was 3/325 ABCT back then) and loved it. Got to see a lot of Europe and the food is great! Lots to see and do in your time off.

  • @USRafting did you have to stay their for your time off or did you have the option to come home?

  • @rookieangel88

I came back to the States once in two years. I spent all my time off traveling around Europe. There is so much to see there!

  • OK 300 thousand views and 300 likes come on like this vid to help recognize all the brave airborne squadrons of WWII and today. You will not be forgotten.

  • 67 years ago today at 0000 hours (in some cases the late hours of June 5th) the brave men of the Allied Forces parachuted into or invaded Normandy by sea. It was the beginning of Hitler's downfall.

    Remember their sacrifices. Remember D-Day!

  • @themoviemaster30 Hahahahaha....get a clue. D-day was June 6th, 1944. The pathfinders and some units were on the ground in the late hours of June 5th. This was posted on June 6th. Check a history book sometime, you might not look so foolish. It also helps if you know what you're talking about and able to understand what the reference to the fifth means (it doesn't mean they jumped on the 4th). I do so enjoy when idiots prove exactly how much of idiots they are. :)

  • @azazel221 What a fucking dipshit, Who doesnt know D-day was june 6 ?? My Great Uncle was in the 101st put he got sent home since Shrapnel tore his knee up on the jump into normandy.. I dont think he was part of Easy, but he died when i was really little

  • @z3rok0ol21 your great uncle served his duty well.

  • @azazel221 Nazi Germany's downfall was due to the Soviets, not British, Candian, American etc. If it were Germany against America and Britain, they would have won.

  • @FacistPikl noooo they lost because they weren't right period!!!!! Fascism and Communism is NEVER RIGHT!!!!! and if we go to war over our freedoms we are right!!!!!!! FREEDOM WILL WIN ALWAYS!!!!!! and RIGHT!!!!!!

  • @piperstune Well it hasn't always won, and I am just saying in 1939-1944 the Germans had a better army, they were just occupied by the Soviets.

  • @FacistPikl Yes, better Army. I'll give you that, but Germany had no where near the industrial capabilities the U.S. did. That plays into the effectiveness of a war machine as well. I'm guessing that the U.S. might have done a little better in Europe if you took Japan out of the mix (since we can make bold claims by removing players from history).

  • @azazel221 True.

  • @azazel221 dday hahahaha never happened :DD

  • God bless the Airborne and the troops. Come home safe. God bless and Salute.

  • During ww2 my uncle was part of the 82nd, he came back from Normandy with a purple heart, and I showed him this. :D

  • this song is so damn catchy. HOOAH

  • 101st and 82nd the BEST!

  • 101st= puken buzzards

    82nd all the way baby

God bless the soldiers of the United States

  • good lord i think a barber shop quartet would have been more manly than this....

  • Hardcore baby!!! Respect.....

  • Hoooah.

  • :)

  • Nice song but the 101st's is better!

    101st Airborne- The Screaming Eagles!

  • @Brunzga007 i agree with the 101st is better, but i dont think this song is very good.

  • This is the song wow it needs to be updated with a black rap artist serving 3 sentences back to back for murder and a booty shaking video to match....................Just kidding lol

  • Halo jump..Hooah!

  • Hoooo Ahhhhhh. 3 more months for Army OCS and stuff then join this DIVISION.

  • Sorry 101st Airborne Screamin Eagle's FOREVER Hooah

  • Woooaaahh....82nd Airborne!!

  • I recently attended my daughter's BCT graduation at Ft. Jackson. The band played the 82nd Abn. Div. song during the formation of the battalion and pass and reveiw. I proudly served in the 2/508 Inf. Good video, Great song.

  • wtf is up with all the dam hollywood jumps in this vid? they affraid to show real paratroopers doing their thing or what?

  • @920con Go ahead and try to find pictures of a combat rig jump and then tell me what you find. You won't find anything close up. BTW.....Combat rig jumps, JFEX's, whatever you'd like to call them always happened at night for me, seeing that I never jumped in the day due to the fact that I was Infantry. Last time I checked, pictures don't turn out too well in the dark, even with a flash, which would violate light discipline. Just enjoy the damn video.

  • @azazel221 not to mention a big breach in security

  • @920Con dude you must not know that all these pics are real pics from the 82nd All American. The first few are from WWII and the rest are of the 82nd from 05 on. learn your military history there were no as you say HollyWood pictures

  • @920con This is about a song not the pictures. Get a life.

  • @920con look closely theres some in there.

  • @920con Isn´t it about the music instead of the pics?

  • This song... is just epic.

  • Wait were going down their? into the trenches? Of course we are, were airborne! From the game. Medal of honer airborne.

  • these are the men who took the fight to the nazis!

  • i prefer the british para one tbh, you can really tell what they're all about

  • My dad was in the 82nd Airborne. I thought that was the coolest thing ever. Still do. Now he flies Black Hawks. Its really cool, and had to go through SERE school for his training and stuff.

  • @moastytoasty54 mine to god bless our dad :)

  • I was in the 101st and the 82nd and the 101st actually had more difficult training conditions. Both are great divisions who both serve their own specific purpose.

  • @cbiwv the 101st air assault or dopes on ropes

  • Love this! My dad is a Vietnam vet, a lifer of the US Army, he was a paratrooper, 1st 187 82 nd Airborne Infantry Division, 2nd BN 508 Airborn Infantry 82nd Airborne Division, 1st Cav Division 10th RRU Special Forces. My son who adores his hard to believe hard core Paw Paw showed this to him yesterday. My dad was grinning and crying at the same time. Thank you for sharing this.

  • HAPPY VETS DAY!

  • HOOAH nice job with the video and GO AIRBORNE!

  • 82nd hooah! just had my cherry jump on thursday! i was blessed with a full moon and a soft plf in tall grass

  • That's one hell of a shot shifty, glad your on our side

  • 82nd Ariborne Division:

    WW2

    Korea

    Viet Nam

    Grenada

    Panama

1st Gulf (Saudi - Op. Desert Storm)

    2nd Gulf (Iraq)

    Afghanistan

A fine American Army Unit with strong tradition!!!!

  • @m16a1rifle 82d Infantry Division, activated 25 August 1917, reactivated 25 March 1942, reorganized and re-designated an airborne division 15 August 1942.

    Campaigns:

Lorraine, St. Mihiel, Meuse-Argonne, Sicily, Naples-Foggia, Anzio, Normandy, Holland, Ardennes, Central Europe, Dominican Republic, Vietnam, Grenada, Panama, Persian Gulf, Afghanistan, Iraq.

"Show me a man who will jump out of an airplane, and I'll show you a man who'll fight."

    -Gen. James Gavin-

  • My bf jumped out of the plane for the first time today, he said it was an incredible experience. I'm proud of him :) lol...he said one guy chickened out and was ashamed...everyone tried to get him to jump...but he didn't...

  • @yellowberrypie There's no shame in not being able to make yourself jump. There is shame, however, in graduating jump school and then attempting to ask for your airborne status to be revoked when you report to your unit. I was 1st in the door on my first jump and I told myself the whole time I was standing-by that I wasn't going to do it. Jumpmaster slapped my ass and said "Go!" and I did for some reason, even though I was scared shitless. I can understand how some people just can't do it.

  • @azazel221 I just felt bad for the guy after going through 3 weeks of training. Haha, the DS even said that he'd give him a shove if he wanted.

  • @yellowberrypie Only four more to go! Airborne!

  • @azazel221 hooah! lol Honestly I've been debating whether to join or not when I finish college in a couple years. I still got a while to think ;) but if I were to join I'd definitely wanna be in an airborne unit and be a badass soldier haha

  • @azazel221 being a 5 jump chump is hardly the end for a paratrooper!

  • @tartloaf A 5 jump chump isn't a paratrooper in my mind. They're certified to become one if they so choose. There isn't too much danger in those friendly jumps over Fryar, but I was saying that I can understand why some people chicken out. If you aren't meant to be one of the most hardcore, ass-kicking individuals on the face of the Earth, then yeah, it would be hard to jump.

  • i gotta say, the two units in the american Armed forces i respect are the Marines, and the Airborne.

Although, it takes a special kind of crazy to jump out of a perfectly good airplane ;D

God bless You brave guys who do it every day

  • This song is so gay and I was ex-504th, the 173rd song is better ( and I was a HERD boy from the beginning).

  • haha this song would be better if a DI was screaming it. I think it would add character.

  • cant wait to join the 82nd! proud to be all american! hooah! id like to also thank every service member, every branch, every unit ,everyone, for their service. hooah!

  • cant wait to join the 82nd! all american proud to be! hooah!

  • @DutchTorres

Not really. I just felt like writing this and so I wrote it. That's all. :-)

I couldn't care less about how many thumbs up or thumbs down I get.

If I get thumbs up, then that's fine. If I get thumbs down, too bad. I won't get overjoyed or depressed because of that. ;-)

  • america should be split up and all the states become countries

  • bunch of doyles

  • 12 haven't put on their boots. ^^

  • Rangers for 9/11 dont fuck with us

  • its all about the 1/507th pir

  • Let's go! Soldiers of Liberty!

  • 82nd and 101st rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • My father is a WWII 101st and 82nd Airborne Paratrooper. You jerks who are calling these brave people 'gay' and 'homosexuals' are ignorant *****. What would it matter? I sure as hell wouldn't want you biggots fighting next to me. Of course, you probably wouldn't enlist or be drafted. All soldiers fight to protect all of us---jerks included. I pray we will always have people of CHARACTER who will fight for all. I am proud to be a WWII Paratrooper daughter.

  • I grew up in the area that the 508 / 82nd trained and flew from for D Day & Market Garden, There is still the evidence there for those bothered to look for it. So this song is interesting, never heared it before.

  • Are the 82nd airborne homosexualls?

  • @ChetzNation no,but you are absolutely homosexual.

  • hammer airborne song

  • 82nd Airborne:

    ww2

    korea

    vietnam

    grenada

    Panama

    1st gulf

    2nd gulf (Iraq)

    afghanistan

  • Gay!!!!!!!!!

  • i love this!

  • Strike Hold America

  • @azazel221 yeah sorry about that i usually read the description thank you

  • I like Screaming Eagles better

  • HOOAH! i miss bragg :/

  • FURY FROM THE SKY!!

  • Greensmoke: You don't make any sense. Ground Pounders are Infantrymen. Its a reference to the fact that their feet pound the ground flat as they walk over it. The 82nd also has their own guns and support chains. Do you know what you're talking about?

  • GreenSmoke your a fuckin moron I was a mechanized infantrymen the only difference is how we are equipped look up 11-M bradley scout

and dont run your mouth about somethin you never had the GUTS to do

  • @zombietx guts? think u mean balls

  • Hooah to my 82nd brothers!!! 173rd leads the way though

  • We Germans lost the war but our military songs are still MUCH better!!!

Greetings from Germany to our US-friends!

  • @mebodeck pppfftt.... amrican song sooo much better

  • Pass and Review!! The best thing to hear at All American Week!!! lol

  • guess someones not to hip on the most elite unit of the armed forced, The All American Division, God Bless the 82nd , 1st of the 504th PIR Ft Bragg , 1972-1974 :)

  • What's all American week???? I heard of navy seal hell week but not all American week.

  • @Soldier1287 All-American Week is basically a rememberance of the Division's past. The week is started out with a 5-mile Division run. A Pass and Review is conducted at some point during the week. Throughout the week there are competitions: military and sporting alike. There is usually a display of WWII equipment and what it was like to be in the Division during WWII. It can be fun, but it can be hell too. It's not anything like Seal Hell Week. It's just a fancy term for a lot of shit to do.
