april20th1986 -- they could smooth that section out but if they did I probably would have slid further and into the parking lot...there isn't too much room at that turn...they may have designed it that way, I'm not sure. and no, the track can't be held responsible for it being cleaned up properly, as the spill was recent and not caught until i hit it. It's just a chance we all take with going out there...that's racing. You never know what will happen

why wouldnt the smooth out the run of area? was the track responsible at all for the oil not being cleaned up properly.

Luckily it was only cosmetic damage and nothing structural. Need all new aero and a couple of tires and I should be fine!
