Don't listen to ur vet. My cat came home Saturday in the same exact condition and I live in the woods with only 8 neighbors in the adjoining row homes and they are all nice people with pets too and they know my cat well. There are no people that could have done this. I followed her blood trail coming from the road and there were skid marks on the street. Many times they miss the blunt of the car and get swiped by the tire.
I suspect the same happened to my cat. A direct car hit would've killed him and ended his suffering. But whatever struck him took him must have been very fast and took him by surprise. I found his tongue was stuck to the roof of his mouth. A very fast moving car that was not visible to Mogu could've done this.
100 % sure that someone kicked him straight in the face. Damage like that the cat is pretty much done, here we can have cheap insurance for house pets, what covers any treatmen with no limits.
@jackdanieels Unfortunately (or fortunately) I will never know what caused him to suffer like this. It pains me to embellish such thoughts. I just hope perpetrator gets what's coming either in this life or the next.
Hi, I'm really sad to hear about Mogu. He had beautiful eyes, was talented & playful and so adorably cute. I really enjoyed seeing videoclips of him. Have got two cats myself, each about 10years old, so I too can't understand how someone could be this evil/wicked. Plus it hurts to see Mogu suffering like this. Must have been extremely hard deciding to put Mogu down, but now, I'm sure he's at peace & enjoying the company of many other animals in heaven. No more pain, hurt.. just pure LOVE there.
"Kira", is the one in my profile pic. She's very loving, ultra-fluffy, gentle and good at sensing my mood. Plus, she loves to be brushed. My 2nd cat "Holly" is a tabby and slightly fierce bcos her prev owner kindof treated her harshly..but loveable still. Both like playing & venturing into the garden. Summer's near again, so I think they're looking fwd to spotting birds, butterflies and chasing grasshoppers again :-)
Kira and Holly sound like a good pair. It's always nice to have two cats to keep themselves company. And going outdoors is such a treat, especially in the summer!
My cat, Mogu, had a very aggressive sister, Dora. I gave her to a nice family to live in Maryland, where I hear she hunts snakes, chases deer, and kills rodents.
And I kept Mogu because he was so docile and amiable. He's never caught any mice, but he's always been by my side.

You're right. Everyone and everything must pass on. That's why it's so tough to have a pet. You will probably outlive them.
I've had pets before also, but this tragedy was too great for me to bear. I've sworn off all pets.

He's a german shepard (sorry, cant spell good) but I like my cat(s), I play around with Vinny and we have a good time, it used to be ReZa and Vinny, playfully fighting. but now since ReZa is gone, Vinny goes to the bathroom in my sisters room, I guess he's stressed out, saddened. My cat was put to sleep the day before yours was. I feel your pain. My cat had Lymphoma in his lungs and nothing could be done. The decision is never easy, but we have to think about the cat.
Was poor Mogu hit by a car? You did you right thing. My Michel has a lung tumor. He is doing well but I don't thing invasive painful things are right.

I just thought putting him down was the humane thing to do. I first believed a car must have hit him, but the vet told me a car would have hit his body as well. His body was completely unscathed. It is too painful for me to think about what kind of person would do this to him.

It's been two months, but I still miss the guy. I'm starting to forget about the injury and remember the good times we had together.
