  • You should make your own level dude! Bring out the creativity in yourself. Your viewers will appreciate the video more.

  • @10chadjordan01 I actually have, check out the 'Bubblez' Pre-Alpha Preview. This video is a good year old, and it was just me trying to get a character I rigged, into Unity, which was my own personal project. During that same year, -AFTER- I did this, I "learned" how to do it in my classes. I wanted to use a rigged character over a box or ball or something as used in the Tornadotwins tutorials at that time (It helped me get 3rd in this years game fair :3).

  • @bradleyp118 I have a "how-to" on how to get your character to move in Unity in my newer videos, and I have a download link for the pre-alpha of the game on my personal site (should be in the channel information); it uses the same character and has a lot more animations than run, jump, land, and fall.

  • @darbeenbo Actually the long transgression of that character was that it was Taichi, a cat, but I needed a biped for my animation assignment, then I wanted to create an animation with Taichi being lovestruck by this character (A slight tweak), but I never got around to it. -THEN- because I wanted to add a walking character, and didn't have any finished models at the time, I used this. For 'Bubblez' I planned on just using an anime girl but no one on the Unity Community wanted me to switch it.

  • @BabyMante My script is just as simple as the examples in the Unity Documentations and Forum "Help" topics, for example:

    if (Mathf.Abs(Input.GetAxis("Vert­ical")) > 0.2) animation.CrossFade("run"); else animation.CrossFade("idle");

    Very simple actually.

    As for my character, it's a model-rip from my "Taichi" model. I took off the wings, gave it a normal tail and made it a bit more feminine (Wider hips, head, chest, etc.) Other than that, standard 3D modeling program.

  • @trikitiger why dont you use wegame as a recorder it doesnt have lag

  • @lightsydejak for one, I used Wegame and it was actually -WORSE- in recording my computer gaming stuff than Fraps (not to mention I was getting advertising junk on my browsers because of it), and two, I said "lag in the script" which more-so has to do with how I scripted the animations and with it not accounting for Fraps being on. Also the lag comes from the fact that I was using testing/debug mode, not in its actual game format.

  • @trex1547 Online? Heck, just go around and ask. There are some people who can create 3D characters and make them look so realistic that you wouldn't believe that it was made in 3D. I don't know anyone offhand who can do 3D characters, which is why I just used a spare model.

  • hey do you think you could make character for my game i'm working on. I would like my character to move more reallisticly. If you can, that would be cool, If not don't worry about it.

  • @2112inuyasha If you're willing to give credit (and wait a little bit, I'm currently working on a character and level for classes), I'll be able to create the mesh, normals, specular, and diffuse maps for it. As well as all of the needed animations for it. (I can see... move forward, turning, shooting, and idling, possibly falling from the video that you used to respond with)

  • @georapgi I won't be able to determine what you did on for your system when you downloaded the free version of Unity. The Islands Demo should be in your document/settings folder. However, I would actually suggest you go to Unity's Support Pages (which I can't link to on Youtube @.@), as it is nearly impossible to troubleshoot in this manner (and the video's about my 3D Model/animation accomplishment, not the actual program)
