If you really want to see this thang, go to your local library and ask them to order it. Tell them it is for some kind of recovery project, or to educate junkies in your area. Your local library shouldn't have a problem ordering it. I'm in Canada though, so I know that would work here, maybe the States would be a little more aprehensive about ordering junkie documentaries, but it's worth a shot. (Hah.... shot .....get it.)

By the way, I am a recovering junkie, so it is possible to get clean.

12 seconds ago I finally found this doc at my local library in the documentary section. I was borrowing a few dvd's and my eyes passed over it and I yelled "s$%t" right out loud in the library, everyone around me looked over at me. I then I said "I've been looking for this for a couple years" to sort of explain my outburst. but anyway, found it, watched it. Good doc, not quite what I was expecting, but good none the less. Best part about DVd was the follow up with the junkies years later.

I coped in harlem for 6 years, stopped when I was facing homelessness. Most junkies in nyc are not like these people. Many have good jobs and shoot up before work, don't steal or beg but you wouldn't see what most junkies do in this documentary. I knew junkies in business suits. I fail to see what the point of this documentary is. Just explotation of the easiest stereotype I think

I met the girl from this documentary in 2004 in rehab in upstate N.Y.Her name is Chetenne and she was a wonderful person!! I wish I knew where she was and how to get back in touch with her. She filmed this documentary right before I met her in rehab. If anyone that reads this knows her and knows how I can find her,please leave me a response to this comment. I went to methadone clinic in Ohio at first but used the first year but eventually got my head fixed and got a home and income. Now I go to Indiana and pay but they allow take homes up to several months so I can work. Started coming down a couple months ago, from 90 to 30 and counting. Clean over two years, woot! Never happier, dope is Satan incarnate my friend. Nothing feels better nor worse, trust me and never touch it. It will hook anybody!

Hens & chicks are illegal now in america and they are hard to grow in this region... they outlawed them in "01" . I grew 'em once but they was hard to grow here do to weather here in the states and mexico has shit heroin compared to NYC, trust me bro. I have a better idea however, do what I did and go to a methadone clinic, they are free in Ohio but you must wait a couple of weeks sometimes or go to Indiana and pay but get it right away, about 12 or 13 bucks a day for whatever keeps you right.

@emogrl766 Like my brother was a heroin junkhead and always stealing from me to buy his dope. He even tried to pimp me to some asshole friend for dope.  He used to go outside our building and shoot up inside the dumpster. I got sick and tired of his bullshit and paid off one of his junkie dealer friends for a hot shot (dope, coke, speed, LSD, whatever). I left it around the house and it disappeared. I never saw him again.

That's how I solved my heroin problem.
