i cant find any information for people who can only workout at night because of their job or cant do cardio in de morning because of their work al these plans are for people with no problem jobs i cant do cardio in the morning so i cant have the perfect body it seems
@qweffi you do it the same way as "normal" jobs but instead of morning being am for us night workers its either real early am or pm when you wake up whatever time it is for you thats your morning it is harder but getting fit is not a 20min informercial its a life style and dedicatiion the first month or two no life but once its habbit you can get the balance back...just dont give up because your job doesnt accomadate!!1

One thing, however has left me questioning and that is if cardio is actually better for fat oxidation in a fasted state. A few studies suggests not. i like darin steen. he is a great guy and he provide a lot of excellent advice. but 90% of the information he provide in his book is near identical to that of tom venuto book. i own both tom and darin book, so i know. not really a bad thing. tom book is more detailed while darin book stream line everything that tom teaches. work hand in hand.
@tom125c I'm guessing that you are trying to put on weight rather than lose fat. If so, I'd cut back on the interval cardio altogether as your fast metbolism will not allow you gain weight. Just try to concentrate on clean protein, fruits and vegetables together with good starchy carbs like brown rice, sweeto potatos, oathmeal, healthy fats with each meal. You don't need to carb cycle like this video says if you have a fast metabolism. Also, stay away from sugars and processed foods.

I'm sitting at about 11% bodyfat right now and just trying to shred down to around 5-8%. How do you feel about whey protein as soon as you wake up in the morning to preserve lean muscle? I realize after an 8-10hr fast we're in a fat burning mode but isnt it also catabolic? Would it be alright to take 25-30g of whey right when i wake up and then do my hiit session? Would i still be in a fat burning mode after this?
On non resistance days, if I workout first thing in the morning while I'm in the fat burning zone, Can I take a pre workout supplement such as NO Xplode or Super pump or does that defeat the purpose.
@RAFA7810 One of the most shredded guys I know takes NO Xplode before his conditioning, so it can't be that harmful. But if you're nutrition isn't perfect anyway it probably doesn't matter.

I was worried I wasn't eating enough when I was Hungry. Thanks too you I know now that I was have been doing it right. I have been Increasing my protein intake with eggs and adding fresh raw vegatables. Spinach, Broccoli,Carrots(not so much carrots),Green Onions. More nuts like Pastacios and soy nuts. I was getting Chicken and Beef before so no changed there. Got rid of processed carbs almost completely.

Whats wrong with whole grain bread or anything else thats whole grain? Its very healthy for you, this guy doesnt know what hes talking about. Seriously whats the point of living ,when even whole grain is bad for you, carbs are important in your diet, you shouldnt be cutting them out:S. The more you cut out other things the more your likely to binge on other high fat and high sugar junk. Eat healthy ,eat alot of whole grains, it has high figer and will keep you feeling full longer:)

Hey Darin, really interested and want to try out how you say carbs resistance days, only greens cardio days, but lets say your eating 2000 calories on resistance days with starchy carbs, wouldn't you only get like 1400 on cardio days without the starch?? My understanding is that it doesn't matter so much if you're buring fat or carb at any given moment, it's how much you burn total throughout the day that helps you burn the fat that's stored. Is there any science behind carb cycling?
Hey love the vids, but just wanted to clarify something. Do you still have the high glycemic post work out meal straight after your cardio-interval training? Sounded contradictory to the whole carb cycling system? :S
Ok it all sounds good for a normal person but would someone with type 2 Diabetes follow the same plan? I have been struggling with my foods for ten years. I finally made a commitment to working out and it's done wonders for my blood sugar levels, but I am still struggling with the food issue. I am now having dangerous lows. I just started Darin's program again this monday but this time following the eating part of it too. I figured the part about not being able to have starchy carbs every day would be too hard for me not to follow. However, it hasn't been too bad so far. I just keep eating every 3 hours to keep my hunger level down and I don't have carb cravings like I thought.
im 16 years old weigh 135 pounds, and i do eat pretty healthy, and work out regulary. im trying to gain weight but one problem with the protein, is that i dont know what im saposed to eat to have 15-20 grams of protein for each meal
Chicken breast, beef (96% lean), eggs (mostly whites), nuts, seeds, skim milk. The milk already contributes 8g, so you can drink that about 3-4 times a day. 7g is easy, just get about 2 oz of chicken, that's not that much. Also, tuna sandwiches are great, put low fat mayo in there on whole grain bread. It's tasty and has the carbs+proteins to get you ripped even faster. Trust me, it works.

yea i used to do that and i will be doing that again in about a month or so. i would wake up, have a protein shake, and practically run out the door. the shake helps prevent muscle breakdown

Go with 100% whole oats, they only have one ingredient, easy to make, cheap, and taste awesome!

what do u think of NO-Xplode by BSN, i take 1 scop and half before workout. I think i am addicted to it now. I also take liquid l-carnitine 1100 by Dymatize, one teaspoon before workout for fat burn.

Caffeine depletes bone calcium for one and causes artificially accelerated heart rate. However, it is the number one source of anti oxidants for most Americans. Everything in moderation.

I just started Darin's program again this monday but this time following the eating part of it too. I figured the part about not being able to have starchy carbs every day would be too hard for me not to follow. However, it hasn't been too bad so far. I just keep eating every 3 hours to keep my hunger level down and I don't have carb cravings like I thought.

im 16 years old weigh 135 pounds, and i do eat pretty healthy, and work out regulary. im trying to gain weight but one problem with the protein, is that i dont know what im saposed to eat to have 15-20 grams of protein for each meal

look for lean meats. chicken, fish, eggs, etc.

Chicken breast, beef (96% lean), eggs (mostly whites), nuts, seeds, skim milk. The milk already contributes 8g, so you can drink that about 3-4 times a day. 7g is easy, just get about 2 oz of chicken, that's not that much. Also, tuna sandwiches are great, put low fat mayo in there on whole grain bread. It's tasty and has the carbs+proteins to get you ripped even faster. Trust me, it works.

could you do a video showing examples of good nuitrition for days of the week, i hear a lot of like, eat beans and vegetables but i've never heard specificly which i have to eat and when, and what kind of breakfast is good, i eat a lot of cerials as breakfast myeself but i don't know if that's the best breakfast, any tips?

my problem with morning cardio is this...if I'm trying to pack on as much muscle as possible, and I go and do cardio on an empty stomache...will I be "zapping" muscle off of my body at the same time im burning fat? Should I have a protein isolate shake before doing cardio in the moring?

yea i used to do that and i will be doing that again in about a month or so. i would wake up, have a protein shake, and practically run out the door. the shake helps prevent muscle breakdown
