But they should join reputable civil militia, with mandatory training and wear insignia(hat, badge, ..) when carrying in public. It is a great way to help the community and would avoid confusion about who are the 'bad' guy in case of shooting.

I can see them, unlike cops, actually protecting and serving the citizen. Maybe get between the police and peoples during protests to prevent cop abuse...

The fact that a man with an openly carried gun is sitting in the park everyday, statistically means that the likelihood of violent crimes being committed there, is greatly reduced. Growing up with two cops for parents, I promise you, cops don't give a shit about anyone but their own.

Imagine the following situation. He appeared threatening. I feel my life was in danger and since i conceal carry a hand gun, i shoot him twice in the head. I claim self-defense and not a single fuck was given; That retard the scared the neighborhood and annoying the police is now gone. Good riddance.

Open carry is inappropriate in urban area. Simple.

@newtubetubetube open carry serves a very specific purpose, and it's primary goal for a lot of people isn't self defense at all. The idea behind open carry for many people who do it is so it DOES get noticed and heads get turned- so people can have a better understanding of both the law and liberty. I do see your point though, there is a big risk, just like driving.

Before all this happen, I have tried to be nice to them and cooperate with them, but still they want to me stop exercising my right to keep and bear arms.
