The government should not let people fall due to things outside of their control (i.e. layoffs). The government should help these people get back on their feet. A better system of finding them jobs, of getting them clean from drugs and/or alcohol. A system that can give them training for viable job skills (many people over 50 do not know how to use simple computer programs such as Excel). The government should not forget these people, nor spoil them, simply help them pick themselves back up.

hey CrazyRepublican101, nice to see another video from you. I agree with you 100% about obama. However, the republicans are becoming just as bad, we can't keep spending huge amounts of money we don't have on iraq, afgan, other government programs. The only way I can see or economy ever truly recovering is biting a temporary tax hike, leaving iraq Afghanistan, and greatly cutting gov spending. Remember the reason gas is so expensive is because the government has devalued or currency.

AvengerJMV, when it comes to our current situation on the "war on terror" it becomes impossible for us to withdrew all our troops from both Iraq because of progress, and Afghanistan where we are experiencing a recent resurgence of violence by al-quidea...We might actually be forced to increase our troop count in Afghanistan because of this recent violence.....So if we technically can not pull out from this war on terror..What then can we do to create a budget surplus?...

In my opinion al-qaida wanted us in iraq and Afghanistan, now there in a position were if we leave they have a real chance to seize power. the thing is we have to leave Iraq and Afghanistan at some point we can't stay there forever. Really the only way to create a budget surplus is to stop borrowing money to fight wars, stop spending money on wasteful government programs, and a limited temporary tax increase used solely for the purpose of reducing our national debt.

Yes, I agree with you 100000%, America has to leave Iraq and Afghanistan but, just not now because, even by your acknowledgment, if we leave now, they will have a real chance to seize power.. We can leave only when the condition within the countries allow us to..

if you watched the senate debate on energy as i did, you would have seen the dems tack on amendments to the tune of 11.5 BILLION more tax dollars to the budget and had nothing to do with one drop of oil being produced. this is part of our deficiet, the give away programs and entitlements. we cannot be all things to all people and survive. ear marks are why we have the deficeit and this won't change until we demand that stops. china ia now preparing to drill off shore, but we can't.

I believe we must put more of our trust within the free Market system, the government must not raise taxes but instead lower them to encourage consumer spending, and so helping the many business that are struggling now as a result of our current rescission.. The other more important action the government should be willing to take, is to dramatically cut spending on many of these governmental programs that are in reality worthless and or broken...increasing our overall revenue as a result.

the free market system is great, however the hole the feds have dug for us with in regards to our national debt and declining dollar value. True Conservatives should be appalled by how much we owe, especially since much of it we owe to the communist Chinese. We can lower taxes all we want it won't help anything if your dollars are not worth anything, google about the Zimbabwe currency that's what's happening to us. Soon the copper in our pennies will surpass what there worth.

I know very well of the Zimbabwe currency and I must agree with the point you are trying to make...America is very much in trouble because of the current dollar.. Because our current dollar, in reality, is nothing more then a piece of dirty paper that is worth absolutely nothing....And because it is worth nothing, the government is free to produce as much of it as it pleases... America should never had abandoned it's gold and silver currency, if you ask me.

Gold and Silver was the onlything keeping the federal banking system in check. Hell if theres not enough silver and gold to go back to the gold standard we should go to a copper and nickel standard, anything to protect our currency.
