Harry Carey, Jr. and Ben Johnson!  Two of the greatest! Those two and Noah Beery, Jr. should have been cast as the 3 leads in Monte Walsh!

Good to see. They really should remake WAGON TRAIN. It was a memorable series.

WAGON TRAIN was based largely on this movie in the first place. It proved that Ward Bond could carry an entire movie, since he was probably the most underrated character in Hollywood (albeit conservative). And so he was cast in the T.V. series, which actually started about 7 or 8 years later.

And I remember most of it, even the day that Ward Bond died, even though Dennis Quaid and Denzell Washington are both the same age as me. So they may remember also. If they were aware.
