Megaupload wasn't blocked, it was seized. This really has nothing to do with SOPA. This also didn't happen just because Megaupload is a file sharing site. The charges are that the owners of the site deliberately encouraged or organized copyright infringement and participated in it themselves. YouTube and other file sharing sites maintain their safe harbour status by having an appropriate and effective dispute and takedown process; this kind of file sharing model is still legal.
