Newest video from James, where he talks about why he needed the amount of money he's now got, how much money movies really do take to make and how the price for locations a dya suprise him and he's having to make a few cuts on the script, and how he's definatly putting every penny of it into the movie.

James is not one of those film makers who has nothing more than an idea to help get his film off the ground, he has a whole following of fans that he has earned over years of hard work. Fans who are wanting to see the film and James has every right to take advantage of his fans generosity, that is not begging, he's the one making the movie, and we're all happy to help in any way that we can.
I think a movie based on the AVGN is at this point is very strictly a niche audience vehicle (obviously) but because it's will likely be low-budget, it will most likely be very profitable. Probably not to the degree that "The Blair Witch Project" had broad appeal across genders and age groups, but still AVGN ought to make a killing.
Speaking of killing, I hope the Irate Gamer gets to be in the movie as a villain. There can be a scene where he screams "You've killed me!" and AVGN can go, "Good."

I think a movie based on the AVGN is at this point is very strictly a niche audience vehicle (obviously) but because it's will likely be low-budget, it will most likely be very profitable. Probably not to the degree that "The Blair Witch Project" had broad appeal across genders and age groups, but still AVGN ought to make a killing.
Speaking of killing, I hope the Irate Gamer gets to be in the movie as a villain. There can be a scene where he screams "You've killed me!" and AVGN can go, "Good."

@mindexpansionpack actually this is a very unusual way of financing any project except for charities. see usually the investors would get the profit and the director would only take a a part of the profit. in this case the ones giving the donations replace the investors except they don't get part of the profit, see what I think would have been a less (beggar) method would have been to ask the people as investors with no control over the movie, but the masses are happy why do I care,
