  • All Scripture is God-breathed! Believe the Bible because God ensured that everything we need to live, including the sayings of Jesus Christ our Lord, are in the Bible!

  • Interesting thanks. I wish Jesus was depicted as a Middle Eastern Jew and not some blonde Aryan-type. Cutting Jesus from his roots does no one any favours.

  • @ASunOfGod - Don't you think that preferring any archetypal representation of Jesus is biased or prejudiced? Point is, we should be identifying with the reality that Jesus was the, or a human embodiment of GOD whom offered salvation to all. That largely gets missed when people point out the skin color of the people who play Jesus. I am just not sure it matters. Its more proof of how people are programmed to recognize skin color as some kind of character deficit.

  • cont - We have seen Jesus portrayed in basically every ethnicity, Chinese, American Indian, Indian, etc. His skin color doesn't matter, and that is the lesson. Keep portraying him in white until the other skin colors quit focusing on it for a change. For all I care, portray him as a purple space alien with tentacles, it was his message that mattered. Another thing that conveniently gets overlooked so we can all get back to the race card. Woopity doooo.

  • @cilcannonvryce You are right : who Jesus was transcends his ethnicity or depiction. But given that Christianity has been used a tool by those wishing to assert 'white' or European racial superiority and in particular 2000 years of Christian anti-Semitism it is important that we should not deny his Semitic and more generally Middle Eastern roots.

  • @ASunOfGod - For me, there are no buts. I don't care. All religions have their downfalls. Evil seeks to employ every facet of reality to prey upon us. Why help it out. This is something we need to learn to look past, and literally slingshot our ego's over. Its not binding matter, Jesus' ethnicity, or region of birth. Either are utterly inconsequential. None of them made the man who he was, GOD did.

  • @ASunOfGod - Now if you mean simply for historical accuracy purposes, yes! The documentation should be more direct about the actual likelihood of his ethnicity which we all can easily reason was most likely not Caucasian. I guess it could have been a possibility, but rather unlikely. Again, it bears not matter on who the man GOD created was, and is. Look at what he has given the world. I think people would do well to stop making such an effort to pervert it.

  • Ha. Just looking at "Jesus" I know this is a lie. Good one!

  • @AllieDangerCat i didnt even know jesus was in this video.LOL until i saw the blonde guy speaking weird and wearing a robe i started to think... is that guy suppose to be jesus? that wasnt how they talk btw. no one knows how they talked.

  • Good video! Read this Jer. 33:33-34 The religious system doesn't understand these verses well appearently. The truth is truly within NOT in churches. No need to preach to others like an insane chicken.

  • The Devil symbol represents men's base instincts of wanting to dominate over each other.. Beast-like behaviour that lends itself to oppression and control.

The Bible gives the power back to the individual by teaching – God lives inside us. . so.. no need for religions.

The scriptures are about the eternal power struggle between the individual and the state.

Individual Freedom verses Oppression equals.... Good against Evil.

  • @FollowDaRulez Yes.. power is an addiction.. a sickness of the Spirit.

The theme of Freedom runs through-out the Bible.. Moses freed the slaves.. while St Paul reminds us.. "Anyone who obeys another makes himself a slave of that one.”

Freedom is one of the Seven Spirits of God that Christ embodied.

In Revelation these 7 Spirits wage war against the Beast (those in power).

    -

"Now God is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of God is, there is Freedom."

    2Corinthians 3:17

  • One teaching of Gnosticism is that matter is evil, that teaching is evil, Gnosticism is evil, matter is good.

  • @Antisyncretism Good point... if 'matter' actually existed and was not the coalescence of a discontinuous quantum soup. It may be that they were aware of the numerous imperfections in ill-designed human DNA concerning which Lloyed Pye goes into great detail.

  • @zthetha no zthetha just no, this has nothing to do with genetics but as Plotinus says "For in sum, a part of their doctrine comes from Plato" (2.9.6) which was negative towards matter as it was seen as transient and mutable as opposed to Plato's belief in the unchangeable Intellectual-Realm.

And Plotinus the Neoplatonist also says: "In every way they misrepresent Plato's theory as to the method of creation as in many other respects they dishonour his teaching" (2.9.6).

  • @zthetha They're terrible conclusion comes from a monstrous syncretism of the historical events concerning with Jesus of Nazareth with Platonic (and Persian) thought. This syncretism produces in effect an incredibly superstitious alternative to Plato's dialectic rigour and a laughable theology in the face of Christianity.

  • Whoa is that guy supposed to be Jesus?

You can close to gnosis the same way people did through out history, fasting, sleep deprivation, light deprivation, sensory deprivation, meditation, drumming, a physical ordeal, or with entheogenic plants or fungi and more.

Now what you have to do once your in the state of gnosis, you have to let your ego die and merge with the other.

  • Beginning of video: Hamlet Christ.?

  • Let me see here. Jesus ONLY give 2 of his 12 to tell such great thoughts to concider of life. I would think that if this was a great knownledge to bring to man and only tell 2 of them to spread the word.

1,600 yrs. ago the Gnostic hated Jesus to the bone and then these same people are writting these book out of nothing but True hate for Jesus Christ.

Only these 2 having this greatness to give man and all other was not told just give off flags of warning ! Also Gnostic hated Jesus Greatly.

  • Jesus WAS a gnostic. Gnosis means knowledge in Latin. It's funny how people are always talking about 'organised' religions. Religion CANNOT be organized because in Latin it means: 'to bind' (to god, your true nature) so each one of us can only find the truth inside themselves. The word HEAL has an more profound religious meaning too..to heal...to make WHOLE, thats why we still call the people who work in hospitals 'brothers and sisters'....

  • @turtle4aire

No they didn't hate Jesus. They knew the truth about him. It was your church that hated Jesus and abducted him from Gnosticism. He isn't yours.

  • "if you do not bring forth that is within you it will destroy you" such a profound teaching

  • This is the devil taken form of angel

  • This is from the devil..

I know Jesus when He talks.. His sheep know his voice. They will not follow a stranger.

  • only the shepherd knows the sheep not the other way around. And do not forget sheep need a sheep dog so they can be herded, docked etc...

  • "My sheep know my voice and they listen to it"

    God bless you!

  • And how do you know?

  • The Holy Spirit in me tells me.. God speaks through the Holy Spirit

  • Does that mean you hear voices in your head or is the information just some how intuitive and how do you know it's the Holy Spirit? And why believe you over actual written documents? Not being snarky, I truly want to know how you've convinced yourself you know better than the scholars.

  • I know it's the Holy Spirit because I have experienced it. God speaks to us through His Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit of God is trully Holy and does not live with sin. If I have sin in me, the first thing to do is to get rid of this evil and then the more I come clean, the more the Holy Spirit can dwell in me. When the Holy Spirit dwells in you, God is in you and reveals Himself to you. For example, He sends us dreams which foretell the future, teach us and warn us, God bless

  • "why believe you over actual written documents?"

You don't have to believe me, you can experience these things yourself and then it's not me you will believe or trust but GOD HIMSELF. He can speak!!

Hope this helps, God bless you!

  • I agree with about half of what you say, not sure about the sin part. Is this the orignal sin from the garden of Eden and do you take that part of the bible literally?

  • The original sin is the sin that made Humanity fall from God. But I personally take it as the story of our humanity. To me, what it means is that after God created us, He gave us a choice, He knew we would choose evil and thats the price of our freedom. However that does not mean that we are only suffering from that sin but from all of our sins since no one is perfect. So I don't really take it literally but it is the story of our fallen humanity whether it was a real snake or not, I don't know.

  • Very Cool. Although Im probably more to the progressive side of scripture and willing to consider apocryphal writings more you are, its refreshing to discover youre not the bible thumping kook I was afraid youd turn out to be. I can appreciate traditional Christianity but its exclusivity never sat well with me. Thank you for the thoughtful replies.

  • by the way, thats Gilles Quispel the dutch scolar.

  • go to my page click beneath the URL, there u will find the date's of all the scrolls.....

  • your account has been closed ... the Jesuits got em

  • So what is the earliest dated manuscript from this library? It is still dated AFTER the traditional NT cannon.

Im sorry, but id rather trust EARLIER manuscripts

  • Iraneus knew about all the gospels that existed by his time they where a lot like 30 or something, he only chose the 4 that made it in the bible.

  • Some scholars say that the sayings of Jesus in the NT came from these texts which date before many of the later writings used to create the Bible.

  • Who are these scholars?

  • It depends, it's disputed as to their age. You should read Elaine Pagels book called the Gnostic Gospels. It names the names and says how they came to their own conclusions in the beginning of the book. Quispel and his collaborators put it at AD 140. Prof Helmut Koester thinks its older than the NT writings because of traditions within them that are even older than the NT writings themselves.

  • KOOOOL!

  • Thank you for this.
