  • i have have the camcorder as you

  • editing needs some work-but nice job

  • how much do GreenScreens costs and where do you buy them?

  • It depends on what kind you want. You can go the cheap route and buy a piece of fabric at the fabric store. Another cheap way would be to buy a plastic green screen, which you can find on ebay for under $10. If you want to spend more money, I'd recommend buying a muslin. Those can cost anywhere between $40 to hundreds. Check out tubetape(dot)com.

  • besides ebay what STORES can i go to?

  • I'm not really sure, considering green screens aren't really in high demand for the typical consumer. You might want to see if there is any kind of video and photography store in your area. They might sell them.

  • Is funny when you were using your hands. It look like you were directing a plane. Haha!

  • haha

  • How do you get the wrinkles out?

  • There's not much you can do about the wrinkles in these cheap plastic green screens. If you have the correct amount of lighting, it wont matter if there's wrinkles.

  • Ok, thank you.

  • You're welcome.

  • for some reason this vid is extremely funny @ 3:30am

  • Haha - Thanks!

  • Alright! Jason upgrades! Greenscreen is tricky isn't it? Lights is what I really need as well. I bought one 500 watt work light a while back and it wasn't nearly enough. I'm going to save and hopefully get a lighting kit so that I can really work with greenscreen. Currently I have tons of trouble when it's time to key out the green.

  • Yep! It's time to try something different! Yeah, it's tricky. You should have seen my very first attempt! The green looked brownish! I didn't have nearly enough light. I got two 500 watt halogen work lights from Lowes for $10 each, and they seem to work really well. Now I just need a light to shine on myself. I'm thinking about trying to find some kind of light that I can clip onto my tripod. And I'm also hoping to use the green screen in the collab in some way. :-)

  • NICE!

  • Thanks!

  • pretty freaking neat man!

  • Thanks!

  • you should have done the old walking down stairs/going off camera... that would have been funny

  • LOL - Yeah, I didn't think about that one.

  • classic!

hey im about to buy the Pinacle myself.. is it worth the $100?

  • Yes, I think it is. I have all the bonus packs, also.

  • Nice one. My next step is to green screen - I cant afford the software though :(

  • There should be some free software out there somewhere, but it might not be as good.

  • that's awesome! i think i'll have to get some :-)

  • Thanks!

  • works perfect. damn! i´m looking forward to your next green screen stuff!

  • Thanks!

  • Looks like the effect is working nicely. After our brief discussion about you getting version 11 of Pinnacle, I checked to see what my copy of version 9 had... and apparently I CAN do chroma key after all. Guess the next step will be to get a green screen at some point.

  • Cool! If you don't want to pay much for a green screen, I would recommend getting one from the person I got mine from. The link is in the description on the video I responded to. The package comes with both a green and blue screen. They're cheap plastic ones, but they'll get the job done. They're only $8 plus shipping.:-)

  • Well done, seems to work perfectly.

  • Thanks! A few more adjustments, and it'll look even better! :-)

  • Lights are hard to figure. I have found that out myself. I want to try green screen too. But don't really know much about it.

What editing software are you using?

All in all I think you did a great job!

  • Yes, you need a lot of lighting. I use Pinnacle Studio Ultimate 11.

    Thanks!

  • Hey - not bad at all. How did you manage to not look "fuzzy" around the edges? I always have that problem.

  • Thanks. It might be caused by your shadow. Make sure you're standing a few feet in front of the green screen also. That helps a lot.

  • Looks pretty good, with a key light on you a fill on the green screen and a clip adjustment you'll be good to go!

  • Thanks! I'm a noob at this, but I'm sure I'll get better! :-)
