People are such enraged by it because you are put into the boots of a Marine, they don't understand that games aren't always Mario-esque and be happy-go-lucky. They can be intense and gripping if done right and emotional if done right. The Marines aren't even angry about the game because they're helping develop it and trying to tell their story because they know games are not the same.

I wouldn't personally care if a video game was made about my combat experiences if I was dead. However, I could probably never play the game myself if I had lived through it. Too many memories and friends lost.
However, my reaction would be the same to a movie. If I had served in Vietnam, I most likely couldn't watch a movie about it. And while thinking of people playing video games about my friends and comrades dying may not sit well, I would go with the out of sight, out of mind approach

@soldierside365 Medal of Honor 2010 is set in Modern Afghanistan fighting the terrorists there but the US Soldiers are called Tier 1 or something like that. So yeah, it's not really fictional. In my opinion it's 95 - 96% fictional probably the name of the unit. You have a good point.

And I don't think that Bad Company 2's Frostbite engine will be as great. This because, there will be soooo many more destructable buildings, and all buildings will be able to be destroyed. Unlike in Bad Company 2 where there are few buildings, only some buildings can be completely destroyed.
Both engines are amazing though :)

But what this guy was talking about made no sense. Marines make their own way in, yeah, but there's already technology out there that'll do that. I ain't played the new RF: Guerilla yet but I played the first two Red Faction games - Geo Mod has been around for years, just sitting there doing nothing and getting old. As old as Geo Mod is, no game IMO has an excuse not to use it or something like it.

yupp the first 3 missions were alrite but the mission in which you have to rescue the crew is a fucken bullshyt and it made me stop playing the game. i heavily disagree.
ive played both and tho teh 40th day was good th graphics and gameplay was oh so much longer and had more depth then the 40th day.
not to mention you had more gun choices.
hell even the graphics in the 40th day was just a bit better than the first one. unless you are talking online then im just gonna call shenanigans
p.s. the ability to put g36's mag into a ak-47(which i mind u wouldn't work on so many levels) was hilarious but fucken stupid

the gameplay in MGS4 is shit, you cant sprint, Snake movement is so underhyped, i felt like im playing an Atari game, the camera is TOO far from snake, the cover system is the worst in MGS4, the over the shoulder view is even worse, he looks like an idiot when he runs
I loved MGS4 it was solid, but the gameplay ruined it, it was some shit, the gameplay and movment in Army Of Two is almost cinematic !

All I know is if this game doesnt release and the heroic battles that those marines faught are not told. I am going to be pissed. All branches of are military put blood, sweat, and tears to defend what we beleave in as a country. Freedom of expression, Freedom of speech ect. If they dont let this game launch they are not respecting 1.our own military and 2. they are not following our consitution.
