  • OMG! So what if you were born the day before the lunar. One day you are one and then you turn two? o: they maybe have some technicallity? hehe sorry...>.>

  • so if your birthday is later on in the year (past the lunar day) then you don't add one year. They kinda just celebrate the day you were born? Hehe im confusing myself. xD

  • Happy birthday KWOW!

Anyway I couldn't help notice you pronounce year as "ear", and you add article "an" in front of it @2:37.

  • Thank you for making these videos :)

  • Yay! My b-day is next week so maybe if i teach show this to my BFF, she'll sing it for meh!! :)

  • So when I turn 21 next year, I would actually be considered 22 years old in korean? Can someone please clear that up for me!!!!!

  • @frsupermoon It's simple, in some cultures like Korea or Japan, you are considered to be 1 at birth.

  • @frsupermoon

in korea, when you're born, you arent born at like 1 second or 0 yrs old but instead u are born at 1 years old.

therefore in the americas u are one year younger in korea. hope this helped!

  • @frsupermoon technically 23 :P lunar year and when you came out X)

  • @frsupermoon yeah, you would. i was born dec 28. i was 1 year old when i was born, and 4 days after i was born, i was considered 2 years old. make sense?

  • @frsupermoon in korea your always a year older cause they count the months you;ve been in your mommys tummy(: so your always a year older in korea^^

  • @frsupermoon

it really depends on your birthday month. let's say you were born on 6 july 2000.

    month korean age international age

    6 jul 2000 1 0

    1 jan 2001 2 0

    6 jul 2001 2 1

    1 jan 2002 3 1

    6 jul 2002 3 2

So, your korean age will be 2 years older from jan to jul because koreans add a year to their age on the Lunar New Year and 1 year older from jul to dec because you would have gotten a year older after your birthday in july.

  • @frsupermoon Yes, that is right.

  • turkish people do that too :D

  • teach us how to buy food, drinks, etc!!! kam sha hap ni da,.. ^^

  • Can we have an ideal when lesson 5 will be out? No rush or anything.

  • How about how to introduce ourselves? "Hello, my name is..." etc.

Thanks for making these videos, they're great :)

  • khamsha mida

  • If you are a Korean drama fan you've heard this song hundreds of times! Thanks for explaining all the uses of "chuka ham ne da." Will you please tell us drama fans about the ways people swear. Tell us what they mean and how to use them!!
