Was just wondering... I've been practising my scratching for a while now and I'm starting to get the timing right but my turntables don't seem to be powerful enough so when i let go of the vinyl the drive has to get back up to speed, no matter how lightly I hold the vinyl the drive seems to slow down... any ideas why? (The turntables cost me £85.00 (about $150) each.. if that helps.

Don't use belt-drive turntables. Also, make sure you're not using rubber slipmats.

There are scores of record pools. Just find one you like or 2 or 3. haha. I record off the PC in the background using Adobe Audition but for mobile use, I would suggest a mini disc recorder or even an iKey (Gemini). I've heard mix reviews so talk to a tech guy before you buy. Hope that helped.
