THANKYOU! i dont go to plc (im guessing its pymble ladies college) but this really helped me for my geo test. ps ur way better than my geo teacher! lol and we are one of pymbles competitors! well kinda....
Wheres the ice for the N pole. Did you adjust it to show no ice. Maybe you're one of those warmers. Sea level is the same at my house as its always been for the past 50 years.
@luvchoclabs The reason is because there is no land at the N Pole, only the Arctic Ocean, which for most of the year is mostly sea ice. If you do not have sea ice showing then it won't show, only a general template of ocean.
around 3:20 he says latitude runs around the earth and longitude runs top to bottom. this wrong. longitude run east to west, and latitude run north to south. this tutorial is flawed.
Actually, you're the one who is wrong. What I said was "the lines that run around the earth are called latitude and the lines that run from top to bottom are called longitude". Which is correct.
The lines that run parallel to the equator, ie around the earth ARE called lines of latitude. You might be getting confused with the fact that their position needs to be expressed in terms of how far north or south they are, by they are called latitudes.
@betchaboy I don't know that I would necessarily say that you are right or wrong, but I would not use this video to teach my students. It is very unspecific. To say that the lines simply run around the earth and run from top to bottom is non-specific, and more importantly, unreferenced. There are severan non-specific, vague statements that I would revisit. Only constructive criticism here, and I believe that you certainly understand the concepts.
hey grs20031..go to hell, check your brain if there's a damage.
