This song, and the picture, makes me wonder. Was Dahlia truly evil from the very start, or did she become that way, when her environment began to distort her? Was there something left in her that was worth saving? Some shred of goodness remaining, lost behind the veil of darkness that had formed within her heart?
@leafbarrett I'm guessing that she could have been a good person if her asshole dad hadn't screwed up her mind with his abuse and selfishness towards her. I wonder if Dahlia had been molested by her dad? That would fuck up anyone's head. It's likely that there was something deep down that was worth saving. After all, having her be completely evil is no more realistic then the "I'm a pure angel" act she was putting on. She would likely have been a charming tsundere of sorts.
@Anon36912 Well, we don't know what Dahlia's dad did to her so that could have done something to her mind. Still, she could've had a dark side to her like her biological mom. Since her mom had a soft spot for her daughter Pearl, then it's likely to me that had she been raised properly around people that cared about her, then Dahlia could have turned out as a good person with a tough edge to her.......
@girlgarde Her father's abuse could have definitely been a factor. I was watching this documentary on how psychopaths could be evil because of their DNA. Many serial killers had been abused as children and had the psychopath gene. It was way cool, and all I could think about was Dahlia.
@Anon36912 In that case, shouldn't Iris have had that psychopath gene too since she's Dahlia's twin? Perhaps it was a very slight mutation as Dahlia was inside her mom's womb? Regardless, it didn't necessarily mean that Dahlia was doomed from the start. If her dad hadn't abused her (i still say that some of it was sexual in nature), then she still could have been a good person with a dark side. Basically, she would've been a great friend/lover but a dangerous enemy to make..
This song sounds like it would fit right in with OCRemix's version of the Link's Awakening Soundtrack. Absolutely fantastic remix.

This theme makes Dahlia seem like a fallen angel, not a demon...

@girlgarde I don't know. Anyone THAT evil would have to be born that way.

Sounds like a creepy setting in a Paper Mario game...like the moon was...
Like if the mushroom kingdom was deserted or something...

Ordinarily, I consider Dahlia Hawthorne as a f***ing she-devil. But this music with that pic just brings up feelings of pity. Freaky, eh?
