I've spent many a night just watching the lights. They never get boring because you never know what's going to happen next. I've seen the Northen lights do unexpected things that have just blown my mind,,,and I've never seen photos or video that shows anything like some of those unbelievable and strange displays that I saw.

I live in the UK at the same lat. as Terrace - 55 deg N. I have never seen the Aurora anywhere in the UK. inc Scotland. Anybody know why? It has to be more than just light pollution. We can see the milky way very clearly on some parts of the UK. I saw NL in Montreal back in winter of 59. and that is further South.

Oh well, I have to be grateful for having seen them when I was a kid!

yep Aberdeen is a good place to spot it my friend and her brother watched a light show their and both said its the most amazing thing ull ever see in ur life

Do you keep an eye out for storms on spaceweather? Some times the Aurora outburst will only last anywhere from 5 min to hour or more. Sept. to Dec. is the best time here to spot them.
