When I want to feel loved, I play Walter's songs. He has the most beautiful male voice I've ever heard. No wonder he is not still among us. His music will live forever
Back in the late seventies I was walking thru and saw Walter Jackson standing on crutches and singing with so much Soul I was totally captivated - I could not move until he stopped singing, I have been a fan ever since. What a voice - what passion - what soul -RIP.
Hella Singer & song. & Simply Red rocked it good 2. "But b4 I give you any long & drawn out explaination, I'll just read the label on the box." This is Aretha Franklins' sister's song.
1408alan is right. Walter can sing with the best of them, but it's hard to come behind someone with the power of Aretha Franklin. But Walter does this song justice. The man could really sing.
I really love this song. Walter Jackson was a really great singer. only wished he had gotten more radio air play for his music as I feel he was very underated
Walter Jackson always makes me feel so good. At Spitafields Market one day, i found a few of his albums. Bought them on the strength of 'Touching in the Dark'. Wow.. Did'nt realise how good Walter Jackson is. Now i can't get enough of him Beautiful Stuff Toni
This man done a Excellent version of Quincy Jones (Everything must change) does anybody had that to upload...I think it came out in around 1976...The R&B Beast...
I have it but I don't know how to uload it to youtube.I have movie maker but i dont know how to use it properly. Give me guidance and I will load so many oldies that it would take you a month to listen to all of them.
A singer's singer...Luther Vandross called Walter Jackson HIS favorite singer. Just listen to the man's voice...if you cannot feel the soul, then I don't know what to tell you..

This is a good performance of a great song, but for the DEFINITIVE version it has to be that of Aretha Franklin from the late 60s.

Some years ago I had the same experience, but in Germany! The album of W.J. cost me at that time only one Mark!Nobody wanted to have the Vinyls.
For me it`s more worth than gold,`cos W. J. was a fantastic soul balladier !
