@ProperlyStained This was way before the Fbomb. I know because I used to salivate over it. Then when Tom posted the F bomb specs I copied thew 406 SBC bottom end for my twin Procharged Camaro....
Glad to see people driving their cars after spending the money to make them fast. The guy is kinda a goon, but I think we would all would come off as goons if we could ride around town in a car like that. Like always great work from the Nelson Engines crew.
OK Boys and Girls ! This is exactly what happens when you have the cash but absolutely NO CLUE on how to drive or shift a Lenco, This Geek was all about burn outs and noise My God what a pure waste of Machinery... RIP NRE camaro.....
I am sooooooo jealous, that thing is crazy and he drives it like a man, burnouts everywhere, are you my long lost brother? cause that exactly what I would be doing with it!!! Keep it up, nice ride, good luck with it
you use the clutch to pull out. Each planetary has its own clutch pack. 4th gear stays engaged like anything else. 1st-3rd run on a sprag-only engage when rpm's are high enough. I rode in this car. He scared the bejesus out of me! A Lenco is goin' in mine!
@1FATNOVA though you can put a shifter like that on any manual tranny that has external shift linkage...i tihnk hurst had something called 'lightning rods" back in the day for those cars.
@nova8063 i was always under the impression lightning rods were for the old manuals with external linkage...might be gettin the terminology wrong, i am not from that era! but you can sequentially shift any tranny with the proper shifter...of course the internals of the tranny may protest and quit on you! lol but it CAN be done...but should it?
@nova8063 just watched a video on lightning rods...how depressing. if only we all had lenco money. lucky for us rarely does anything weigh more than 1800lbs so modded vw and mendeola gearboxes get it done.....usually :/
Bad ass its a destroyed 400 you just trying to get more rpm out of it what is the compression I would love to have a nelson motor cant wait to hit the lottery Im glad to see a beautiful car beat

No it has a clutch.
It's required between the engine and first case.

For the record, "lightning rods" looked the part but in reality they were for a GM Turbo 400 or 350 transmission.....
