While I disagree about all Metal being stupid (though I'll give you Dragonforce being kind of dumb, Too fast for it's own good) I have to agree with Pochahontas not being popular. It was well animated and the music was good, but the blatent lack of any historical accuracy (Moose in Virginia, Epic awesome cliffs around Jamestown, Pochaontas's age, it was just laughably innacurate) and the dumb plot with comic sidekicks just shoehorned in just made it seem dumb.
