@paismoi I thought he was singing "Doodie wop!" for years, too. I still sometimes sing along that way. But someone told me Stevie was actually singing, "Do the walk" (or "Do 'da walk"). Meaning he was encouraging Prez Nixon to 'do the walk' and quit the presidency. I think it's just as applicable to most of our politicians today!

One of the best ever song of Rythm & Blues.No whining , just great singing and a rythm that would not quit. I saw him live in St.Louis in 74 and still love this song!!!!

@mjjcng8958 I didn't know it . but he has always been my musical idol and will always remain.I admire all his talents and wonderful songs.I loved his old stuff soooo much.In every decade he showed us different styles of music , but if you heard it for the first time, you knew that it was Master Stevie , even before he started to sing.I have not seen him drumming , but that one concert I saw was a feast to my ears.Seventies were such a great era.Thank you for the information.

@mjjcng8958 I know that in older days most musicians were multi-instrumentalists. I can play a few instruments , but that's how it was in older days.Once you played piano, you pretty much played many other instruments.Stevie played played bass - I have seen him play guitar and all kinds of keyboards.We cannot forget that he was a king of a harp(harmonica).Sometimes I think that he laid many tracks himself on many songs(For Once in My Life)They were .too perfect for a different musicians to do.
