How do you make the shapes of the robot and where do you get the motors from?

@17redsocks We make the robot shapes ourselves out of paper. For power these paper robots are then stuck onto small radio control cars.

@tysen767 But we didn't win. We let it play out naturally. Our robot being a wedge shape was good for this. Other robots such as 13 Black didn't have working spinners, so were at a disadvantage. The final was made up off two wedges - they did the best in this.

@0RobotWarsIsTheBest0 Thanks for your comments. KH will be brilliant! We don't participate other than to attend as a static display these days. We do keep in touch with roboteers, in fact I phoned Mike from the Plunderbird team only last night.

@BangTheMan1 Paint it if you can so it is grey. Make the black/yellow markings for effect. And you could make a back board, even out of card. This makes a nice backdrop.

@BangTheMan1 They could be made smaller. Just download the images and make them smaller in a program such as Photoshop. I won't do that though because I am short on web space to upload to.

@darollercoasterfan97 We still have it and it is fully working (although the batteries might be a bit too old to hold a full charge). It does not compete but sometimes we do static displays at shows such as it Brentwood in about May time.

@giangel192000 We just used 'Blu-tack' to stick the car in, which is just a sticky substance for a non-permanent fix. You could even use tape.

You can paint the wood using any regular paint, say something left over from decorating a room.

@giangel192000 The arena is made of wood which is 4ft square (1/10th scale). Another piece of wood is just placed behind. Sprayed up with car spray cans. Bit of plastic as set dressing on the wood. Wooden legs to raise it into the air. Made up artwork in Photoshop to print out and stick to the wooden floor for decoration. First of all I photographed the toy arena, and then made the artwork from those pictures. Took me just a day to construct.

@giangel192000 They seem a bit hard to get hold of these days but they are just radio control toys called 'Micro Cars'. You might have to do some internet searching.
