I would like you to remove the amount of money spent DAILY on a war on 2 fronts begun by the former administration. Now, tell me how much money has been spent. The wars are the gorilla in the room.. nobody wants to discuss how much money is being spent on them..here is the bleeding wound. You tell us how to fix THAT, you will go a long way to solving the debt crisis.

The debt ceiling is for money ALREADY spent by Congress, not for future spending. I realize Fox News is desperately spreading their usual misinformation about this, but c'mon people, it's a basic fact. You cannot decrease it, you've already spent it. Republicans borrowed-and-spent us into the Bush Deficit, voted 7 times to increase the debt ceiling under Bush, and are now holding the country hostage to force MORE tax cuts for the rich while making the middle class shoulder the burden.

Um, not it couldn't be fixed by simply raising the ceiling. The creditors and such have already said that they want the US to show its making cuts to reduce its deficit or they will still downgrade our rating even if the limit is increased.
