@TheStaticclown It'd lose intensity. I play in a small quartet, and just the fact that there is nothing to take your attention from us has gotten better effects from audiences. You can focus on faces, on expression, body movement. The volume and depth of an orchestra would be nice, I do admit, though.

Well... *goes and listens to more covers and the originals*... I just think it sounds a little cooler. This song doesn't do extremely well on strings (but still awesome), but still gets part of the point across. However, it's harder to understand the meaning if you haven't heard the original version, in my opinion. I guess it just varies from song to song. Still couldn't quite capture the emotion in Green Day's "Holiday", but "Wake Me Up When September Ends" was about as cool.

Im a huge huge huge huge Rise Against fan, and I honestly think their work is perfect the way it is...but I mean, you mix one helluva awesome band with my favorite instrument (the cello, duh) and it equals TOTAL ORGASM. I quite love this, you can totally apperciate the artistry and care that VSQ put into making this a cover respectable to Rise Against, but making it their very own. Love it!
