  • You need to break past parallel to get a tension and hip bounce out of your hamstring and allow them to recoil you back up.. this is not good on the knees and too much on the quads. everything else it good.

  • it's only dangerous if you aren't used to the weight or don't know how to dump. it's not like this is his first time squating 335kg. plus, the whole point of using a monolift is that you set yourself in a squat position before unracking. usually a squat rack with safetys requires you to move backwards to get into a squating position. walking backwards or forwards with several times your BW in itself is hard and wont help you in your squat.

    -the knee wraps are so he doesn't blow out his knees from the amount of weight.

    -this is a powerlifter, a common type of bodybuilding where they go for the most weight possible to be pushed.

    -The wideness is what your stance is supposed to look like when you do a squat.
