  • Is That an Cessna 152 or 172?

  • @Cessna165 It looks like a 172, but the cockpit looks very 152... Probably just a really old 172

  • @pacrat90 Yeah,i thought that too.

  • @Cessna165 also, on his manual it says SkyHawk. So it must be a 172

  • @Cessna165 its a 1979 Cessna 172N

  • @ stvkdcash : learn to spell bud.

  • i am about 16 years old and i am very interested in becoming a pilot. where do you suggest i start.

ps, i learn so much from your videos

  • I'm 16 too and have just started...just go on down to your local airport and ask about it

  • so you don't check if the wings are attached at all? or if you are even in an airplane and not on a taxi..

    haha, just kid

  • I'm Taking Flying Lessons and I love it. Also you might think $6,000 is alot but it is cheaper then collage. You Must go and try a discovery fly because after i did it i loved flying and im almost to my privet pilot license.

  • Flying is great provided one does a good job of risk management. Often General Aviation is painted with the rosy view of 100 percent safe, when its not. Like any mode of travel there are risks associated. But its also a lot of fun.

Always have fun, but be prepared - if flying at night, always choose routes with airports and electric-wire free highways (like interstates) below and always have alternate route in the event of running into IFR...you will be safe and happy...

  • Lol preflight checklist is a lot longer than that...

  • I've watched so many airplane videos I could probably fly a B-29.

  • lol

    No, you couldn't.

  • Come to think of it, probably not.

  • I could i'm a licensend Air Cadet

  • lol funny

    and

this is nonsense as everyone could do a check up

in 30 mins u could learn to fly and in another 30-40 u could land

    thats stuiped video

if this was true then y do people go uni 4 dis lol :D

  • flaps is ones on ur stomach lol

  • what are flaps?

  • they are on the wings

  • They help slow the airplane, and add lift on landings. They can also be used (set to a small degree) when taking off with heavy loads.

  • or on short fields

  • That also.

  • I wish there were longer, more detailed videos I'm not liking switching video's every 1 or 2min. >:( but they're still cool nonetheless

  • dude if your that interested start taking flight lessons, there are expensive but rly fun. i take them every week, its more to it than you think but there isnt really a word to describe it when you are flying that plane except awesome. [ oh and when i say expensive i mean like $6500 total]

  • 6500 and worth every penny of it!

  • ha ha hell yea

  • Sound is the electric gyro of Turn coordinator

  • what the sound is, is the avionics cooling fan

  • cool.. but the gyroscopes don't spin until the engine is turned on.

  • Some do. They are electric. Engine gyros are powered by vacuum from a pump on the engine. Some old aircraft have a venturi horn on the side of the nose, these are not reliable untill a substancial air speed for a number of seconds.

  • Not on any of them? I know the engine sucks the air out of the vac. lines, but are there any that are electric powered prior to start-up? like an elec. vac. pump? I am just now entering into the air industry as a participant, not just admirer

  • i liked itttt......u sud post sum more vidoesss

  • Very good.
