  • Robot Camels.*Family Guy Reference*

  • Vader needs to take up jogging. He would save countless seconds and he would have gotten to the critical areas faster. I suggest he hire a personal trainer.

  • @dropway9 To be fair, he's a bit of an oven fried triple amputee, which I can't imagine does much for your dexterity.

  • maybe they should have put the shield generators inside the shield... lol

  • 1:20

    WEAPONS?

    WE DON'T NEED THEM

WE BEAT AT-AT'S WITH OUR FISTS!!!

  • Comment removed

  • Note: Falling down makes you vulnerable to lasers.

  • @CutControlPunk Pretty sure the logic was that the neck area is vulnerable. Why they didn't just start shooting the neck after seeing that is a mystery.

  • 4:13 These rebels could use an order 277:Not one step back!!!

    Cowards.

  • i fucking own those gients on battlefront 2

  • ahhhh before Lucas became a nut case

  • My favorite scenes!

  • Battle of Hoth has always been one of my favorite scenes in the the whole SW franchise.

Tell ya, listening to ''Battle of Hoth'' with my Darth Vader- headphones = eargasm.

  • The cinematography in 4:15 - 4:25... the duel between Luke and Vader... the Executor introduction with the Imperial March... This isn't just the best SW film. This is a masterpiece!

Thank you Irvin Kershner, you'll never be forgotten

  • where's PART 1?

  • There's a lot of throw backs to "All Quiet on the Western Front" (1930 version)

Check it out, Ty for uploading :)

  • 2:24 "All troops debark for ground assault, prepare to target the main generator"

    Love that line!

  • Why couldn't they just shoot that spot BEFORE it tripped?

  • @controlledburst I assume it has something to do with the many guns that would shoot them out of the sky before they could do so.

  • Empire FOREVER!Rebels SCUM!Die!Die!Die!

  • 5:23 - look at the left bottom corner!.. the white fire blast is heart shaped <3 :)

  • Where my Dam Battlefront 3 at guys.....?

  • @mdrivera77 YES!!! AMEN TO THAT!

  • thumbs up if the at-at's freaked you out as a kid lol

  • how are AT-AT's destroyed by the lasers when they "trip" but resistant to lasers when they walk? 0.o

  • @neeltennis93 you watch carefully, when you see the AT-AT trip and fall, there is a big gap that is exposed at the back of its neck.that is what they aim for with its blasters to finish it off.

  • 9gagers are coming !!!

  • 4:55 AT-AT: Glad I'm not that guy.

  • Man, they should have had those gunners on the Death Star! Did you see how the lead AT-AT shot that speeder out of the sky? I would think that would be much harder to do than a turbolaser on the Death Star.

  • 5:12 Begone.

  • Aw, Jim

    Robot Camels.

  • which dvd is this of the star wars episode??? please reply becaase i wanna buy it

  • @Therudeboy1996 Episode 5.

  • @1:19 Take no prisoners.

  • 4:42 - I used to pilot an AT-AT like you, until It took a grenade in the ass.

  • watch?v=L3V864tlTnA - This is a cool Diorama of The battle of Hoth here...

  • "Prepare to target the main generator"

  • I used to be AT-AT, then I took a Tow Cable to the Knee.

  • @xPo1S0nXs0DaX Ok, that's definitely one of the better "arrow to the knee" jokes I've read.

  • 5:20 poor guy he got MAXIMUM FIRE POWERED!

  • Imagine if this scene was redone in CGI...it would suck immensely. The model work in this scene is so much better...

  • For some reason it reminds me of the Winter War when the Finns stopped the Russians with hundreds of ski troops in snow trenches supported by a few artillery pieces. The AT-ATs would be the Russian tanks, those T-34s that the Finns decimated in a couple of battles.

  • @MarciCow I've been waiting forever for someone to say that.

  • @MarciCow Yeah, it does seem like the Winter War, doesn't it? Both the Rebels at Hoth AND the Finns were up against foes with overwhelming firepower on their side and fought against impossible odds but despite losing, they both managed to bloody their respective enemies.

  • @MarciCow Close, although i would say the influence is WW2 but more towards Russian front against Nazi invasion. There was a Panzer commander named Hoth and Kursk was the name of a major tank battle are jst two examples. I believe Lucas was up on all this and peppered in small references into the Star Wars universe. The imperials and the AT AT's to my mind are the Nazi's and the power of their Tiger and Panzer tanks.

  • Polish Subtitles I guess

  • Oh yeah baby, crush those rebel scums.

  • WAMMMM

  • Leia: "Would it help If I got out and push?" Han: "Yeah Go." Leia: I was joking." Han: "Well I'm not. Go!"

  • 1:17 Epic Fail

  • Always felt terrible for that rebel who gets shot in the foot at 5:01

  • Leia is sooo sexy in that winter get-up and hairdo.

  • 5:01 wtf? the rebel guy tripped on his shoe lases and dies

  • @TheTreecritter111 no the laser doesn't need to hit a soldier directly, just being near an energy burst of that power kills you. I guess its the equivalent of energy shrapnel.

  • thank god he didn't use maximum firepower on that one guy lol

  • 5:07 typical stormtrooper accuracy

  • @TalonMercenary 5:12 once in a life time shot

  • @Mr12roundstofred LOL he redeemed himself!

  • still amazing without cg

  • When you see Luke throw the bomb into the ATAT under belly does anyone else think of the Robot Chicken scene? LMAO!

  • @rtds9fan

Snow Trooper: What the fuck is tha-*explodes*

  • why wouldn't they use xwings dont those have torpedoes of some kind that they used to destroy the death star

  • @state135 no the X-wings had to cover the evacuating transports as they left the escaped the system past the neutralized star destroyers. The idea was to hold the imperials off, not fight them to win.

  • @rayne7echo yeah that makes sense it just seems like a waste of material and manpower to not only use the snowspeeders but even make them

  • @state135 Yeah, Rigging up a smaller Ion cannon to just shut them down might have been better, like replace all those turrets with EMP systems since penetrating ATAT armor is near impossible.

  • @rayne7echo yeah but that would have just been too easy

  • 4:22 STOP! He's already dead!

  • the best part of the whole movie

  • GOD DAMN! GOD DAMN! *HARD ON*

  • this is what star wars was all about. smaler dramas within bigger battle. prequle battles where just effect mush.

  • and so i was in a church ... p! pew! pew!

  • why didnt they all just do what luke did and attack from behind and with winches/grenades? you clearly couldnt get the staff in those days either

  • why dont the at-ats jsut stop moving once they are towed

  • thumbs up if this is some of Lucas's best work.

  • 4:07-4:23 is the best sequence in all of Star Wars

  • 4:08 , this sequence is without doubt the one that sent the most shivers down my spine. The retreat, everybody running away from huge hulking beast, and the epic music, this sense of "everything is lost" scenario, BEST FUCKING SCENE in the entire franchise.

  • @haghaghaghaag agree. not comon anymore that i feel that way but they captured the mood so dam good.

  • @haghaghaghaag Totally agree with you, and the feeling is: "We cannot defeat the Empire"!

  • @haghaghaghaag The whole battle for me. I dont know who created the AT - AT's but man alive they just rocked my childhood like nothing else.

  • @haghaghaghaag Really sells the title "The Empire Strikes Back!"

  • @haghaghaghaag there should have been storm troopers running at the foot of the walkers s they got to the trenches and shot it out with fleeing rebels, that would have completed it for me.

  • @haghaghaghaag Tied, IMO, with the whole "It's a trap!" scene from ROTJ. when you go OH FUUUUCK! True movie escapism there. :)

  • a long time ago but somehow in the future

  • @deadhobo16

    it`s not in the future

that`s what a lot of people don`t know

it happens during the middle ages period but in another galaxy that`s why they had knights but they call them jedi knights

  • Ah Jim, robot camels...

  • CALL MR.T!

  • More effective vs AT-ATs: Tends of millions of banana peels or the tow-cable on the Snowspeeders?

  • @mguldin

    Effective or more humorous?

  • @mguldin banana peels. Definitely.

  • AT-ATs would be giant coffins on a modern battlefield. They are painfully slow & immobile with limited firepower that is almost directly in front of them. If anti-tank missiles like the Javelin couldn't penetrate their armor from the top/side, you could easily hit them with a larger tank-killing missile from an aircraft. Hell, my bet is even the A-10 30mm cannon with uranium-deleted armor piercing rounds direct at the AT-AT cockpits. Instead the Republic bought worthless Snowspeeders.

  • @mguldin well you do know your wepons. but do remember that they got space age tec. maby they got metal strong enuff to not even get bent by materia, therefore they fire energi? and the hook from the snowspeeder is magnetick, just thinking out loud here :) and sorry for bad eng

  • @mguldin there shooting FUCKING LASERS on DISTANT PLANETS, im pretty sure they are way more modern than we are. we wouldnt last a week

  • @bigBn20102010 More Modern? Damn, youre stupid.

  • @SpadaccinoLuciano Are you questioning my grammar?

  • @bigBn20102010 Your word choice. The word you were looking for is "Advanced" or "Futuristic".

  • CGI? In Star Wars? What is this witchcraft?

  • For some reason or another, The Battle of Hoth reminds me of the Battle of the Bulge? Wierd.. Winter battle, armored vehicles, infantry, I don't know.

Makes me want to get an Alliance Cold Weather suit either way! or a Waffen SS Winter Uniform.

  • 4:56 You can see a stick pushing the bottom of the back left AT AT's foot so it falls over.

  • @brickmaster555 ha! good call! good eye.

  • pew pew pew

  • Star trek is a million times better, three words, wrath of khan.

  • @CaptainJahangir99 Flame bait.

  • @CaptainJahangir99 You trying to start some kind of nerd war.. shut your mouth fool, lol

  • One of my favorites scenes from one of my favorite movies ever, also good thing I watched the original trilogy first, I don't what could have happened if I was addict to CGI, don't get me wrong I love CGI, but there's a magic in stop motion that can't get made by CGI, maybe its because all we see here is real, and everyone have a lot of hard work to make this look realistic. :D

  • @SammEater

    *I don't know what...

  • WOW I MADE THE 1,000th LIKE!!!!!!!

  • 1:22 "Shit I forgot my speeder! Guys wait for me!"

  • Three words.

    Pew.

    Pew.

    Boom.

  • Why don't they just give everyone a lightsaber since Luke took down at At-At walker?

  • @SuperWaveShredder I think Luke just happened to be at the right place at the right time . The AT-STs and AT-ATs would make short work of troops on foot .

  • love the GAY strategy, first off using fucking cables to bring down giant walking robots, despite having lasers!. then lukes amazing idea of flying HEAD ON into laser fire from a giant robot on legs that only has front facing lasers. are all jedi dickwads this gay and stupid!

  • luke you bastard that this is pregnant lol

  • Okay, does anyone know how and/or why the AT-AT blows up when it gets shot, despite their previously stating that the armor is too strong for their blasters?

  • @VideoMask93 Its armour was extensively damaged when it crashed to the ground. The panels were visibly broken at the seams, compromising the effectiveness of the armour. Seems reasonable enough to me.

  • @Spergematic Adding on to that, I asked this question somewhere else, and someone pointed out that there is a reactor right in that area. The Tibanna Gas is conducting a huge amount of energy...enough to cause an explosion? Maybe.

  • @Spergematic dont be gay, everyone knows that everything the empire makes has a tiny little technical flaw like a fucking HOLE that if you shoot a laser in it the whole thing blows up. i.e the death star. so naturally the AT walkers also have this achilles flaw and in this case its a little hole in its neck for the commander to slop out his shit bucket which again if you fire a laser it in the whole do-hickey blows up. its either that or george lucas is a big bearded FAG who likes plot holes.

  • @nbrado Everyone knows that homophobes are closet homosexuals.

  • @Spergematic and your dad being the prime example of this line. must have been a shock to find out eh? but seriously starwars is soooo gay with its plot holes. lets look at another example. for all their fucking lasers and turrets it takes one man with a laser stick to cut a hole in the AT and throw a crappy little nade inside it to do the job. LULZ fucking gay! just like the whole movie series.

  • @nbrado Oh wow, I'm being insulted by a Youtube keyboard warrior. What a fantastic life he must lead.

  • @Spergematic aww chill out i'm only having a laff! but really all imperial stuff is borked their designer has a fetish for living dangerously by putting these massive flaws in the designs. watch?v=RcL6DwSufMI

  • @nbrado Dude, it's a children's film from 1980, not a military simulation. ;) If Lucas was going for realism, he wouldn't have had any of the spacecraft making sounds in space either. But the dumbed-down audience it's aimed at expects them to be there, so they are there, just like all cars that crash in Hollywood movies end up exploding in a ball of flame.

  • @Spergematic @ 1:16 HAHAHAHAH the panels start to move before it even hits the ground...

  • @nbrado Probably because it's falling. 8B

  • Victory

You have completed the objectives for this battle. Would you like to continue the battle and hunt down the enemy like the worthless animals they are?

    Continue Battle

    End Battle

  • My favorite parts of all Star Wars movies are the fights between no-name rebel troops and Imperial Forces. I don't want to watch 2 hours of Han and Luke hamming it up

  • 1:15 FACEPLANT

  • hehehe look at those rebels run, glory to The Empire!!!!

  • 1:24 armour too strong for blasters HUH?

  • 0:43, Gilbert Gottfried! "Preparing to dive bomb the target; my piloting skills are superb!"

  • I'd be pretty embarrassed if I were Luke, getting shot down like that. AT-ATs don't look like they have any anti-air capability.

  • All the Battle of Endor videos have been taken down, let's hope they don't get this one too... greedy Fox bastards.

  • this movie is great!!! AT-AT rules!!!

    AT-ST in part 2:22

  • 4:52 BOOM Headshot

  • i understand that the cables worked but why didnt luke just take his lightsaber and cut the head or the legs off?

  • people are mad because cgi is real.

People usually hate on things simply because they're new..new music..and etc.

Even though something is technologically superior..they'll still ride with the old school to feel "cool".

  • have you noticed that wedge dies in episode 4 and 5 but destroys the death star in episode 6

  • @Jessicrowns Wedge doesn't die!

He is the only rebel pilot to fly and survive all three major engagements. In episode 4 his engine is damaged and he cannot maintain the speed in the death star trench so he disengage from attack few minuts before the death star is destroyed.

At the battle of Hoth his gunner Janson shoots down the walker with the caple. When Lukes wingman Hobby tries to do the same he is killed.

At the battle of Endor as you stated he helps destroy the death star core!

  • 4:51 = my heart when my girlfriend dumped me :p

  • Pure gold is pure.

  • Lets watch lucas fuck this up too

  • It would be so cool to be an extra in this scene

  • Thumbs up if you know what the Sun crusher is.

  • I have had always like Star Wars movies, series, and expanded universe.

  • VADER!!! My bad.

  • 0:19 mini baser

  • I wonder how Wedge could have survived that explosion in his Snowspeeder?

  • @bluesbros30 It's Rough 2's snowspeeder that got exploded. Not Wedge.

  • 4:08 through 4:24 in my opinion remains to be the most amazing scene of the star wars franchise. The music, the angles, objects, and everything just blend so damn perfect together. Something about the Rebels retreating give me goosebumps. Anyone else feel this way?

  • @SynesterSeX Yes... Great scene.

  • @SynesterSeX I've been spending the last year on a model depicting this scene. Still nowhere near finished...

  • @SynesterSeX Agreed. Even Ben Burtt's layered blaster shots — from the towers, dishes, the speeders, and the AT-AT's horns and tusks — sound like a symphony.

I've never watched a scene that portrayed a conceded military action so well. The gradual collapse of the Rebels' line is gritty without being over-violent or maudlin, showing heroism in the trenches without dissipating any tension; the movie shows us that the Alliance shall survive another day, but the evacuation costs them dearly.

  • @SynesterSeX the star wars series has so many iconic and memorable moments thats its difficult to choose just one. But I do agree that that is one of the best parts

  • @SynesterSeX Hell Yes it does!! I could of not said it any better. :)

  • @SynesterSeX Yeah, I know how you feel, it's always done the same thing for me. It seems to be something about the fact that the Rebellion stood up and battled against almost insurmountable odds when confronted by the might of the Empire, but did their best against those odds and had the humility to realize that they had no choice other than to retreat. But I'm the same as you in that every time I watch this I get a very powerful emotional reaction because this is such a brilliant film.

  • @SynesterSeX You Rebel scum!!

  • Comment removed

  • 0:45 onwards, the ATAT can be seen right through the cockpit walls. kinda weird, isn't it?

  • How did Vader get down so fast?

  • 4:38-Mr. Skywalker does it again!

  • Ah, Han Solo stared down the mighty 501st and those clone bastards blinked, and were fried. Somewhat fitting for the man who consistently evades Boba Fett.

  • so stupid that one little grenade works like tactical nuclear missile rofl....

  • @TraceurMikado Wtf? A Tactical Nuclear missile would obliterate everything for miles around the battle....

  • @CyberMollySystems i mean the grenade what luke trowed worked like mini nuke

  • wedge is aswome

  • 5:13 - my favorite part

  • @dmontayre same

  • Looks like mules from M.U.L.E.

  • @mygoatisdead

IMO, Episode I (though the weakest of the six movies) was actually perfect as far as the special effects went: they had enough CGI to do things that they wouldn't have been able to in the eighties, but not so much that they overdosed on it (which is what they did in Episodes II and III).

CGI isn't all bad, you just need someone who knows how to use it in the right doses.

  • @R2Parmly like christopher nolan :D

  • @mygoatisdead Amen! Funny you would say what you did, because it just so happens we DO have examples of CGI mediocre shit battle scenes. And they were even made by the same guy for the same film franchise. I think they call them the Prequel Trilogy.

  • @peterp21 Yes, it's all CGI's fault that the directors, screenwriters, and actors suck at their job these days. Through some cursed voodoo, the computers send out magical brainwaves that cause the directors to become stupid, the screenwriters to write shit, and the actors to not act. No movie before the advent of CGI was ever badly written, acted or directed.

Seriously, people, stop scapegoating and think for once.

  • @GoGojiraGo Indeed, the CGI-hate bandwagon is getting ridiculously full of posers... I agree that using models is very charming and looks better in some cases, but some things are such an improvement with CGI (Gollum > Yoda anyone?) and certainly not "lazy"...

  • @Thebassjunk

I agree, and that's why I like CGI after all (even though I love Stop Motion more), and Gollum was awesome, it all depends on the writer and actors, its not like the CGI makes everyone being as a stupid as Jar Jar Binks, the CGI is not the problem, is the character itself, the bad writing.
