  • u can tell how much someone knows about MT by the way they wear their shorts :P

  • bosta

  • Its crazy how everything he said in this video i already do and already knew. If you know how the body works you wont need stretching tuts. Just do random stretches and see where you feel it. Whever you feel it, your working, thats my training logic.

  • think you so much pro

  • fuck you.... you don´t about anything bitch!!

  • hey! who know Kevin Renno?? He was my trainer))

  • 0:00 to skip the comerciaal

  • that shorts are pretty disturbing...

  • @derkabronen they are made to free his movements, they are a tool, not a fashion wear.

  • im 13 years old now, and i wanna do thaiboksing, but is it a good age to start, or i'm already to old to start to get a good fighter? ;o

  • @Schuurdakmovies never to old too start homie. I started when I was 21 and have been at it 6 years now... just becareful, once you start you'll never wana stop lol :p

  • @DropYou44 whahaha thank you <3333 ..

  • @Schuurdakmovies wtf... ur 13 and u rworried about starting too late? U SERIOUS? your earlier then most. go start it. most people dont start til highschool

  • @vespaman101 i'm on highscool, in the second year.. when i'm 15 i already finished my highschool :p

  • @Schuurdakmovies good u shuld go ahead and do it.

  • Muay America

  • @daberek666

    FAIL

  • hehe he not so flexible

I know TKD guys who can split fully at something like green belt, and they never did any stretching before TKD

  • @OdysseusAres5500 . Its called dynamic stretching because of the movements they are doing in TKD. hahaha you have no idea what your talking about.

  • @brownsima Oh really? I have no idea of what im talking about? I seriously doubt that.

    My argument remains...

  • @OdysseusAres5500

    first listen , then speak.

he said that if he had the room he'd spread further, and as you can see he's at the edge of the mat with both feeds.

  • i'm dutch but i movie to thailand the people speck thai

  • I can do all splits , but for what ?

  • what about hand?..

  • thumps up if you lol at this 0:39

  • @GanstaPro94 your childish

  • i do this for baseball nothing special

  • <----- here you get 100% original Muay Thai Boxing Shorts and Muay Thai Boxing Bags from Thailand. Direct from the Factory Outlet. best Price and NO shipping cost.

  • how can anyone see anything through the writing? what a fuckin' twat!

  • @fuckinthrasher76 just click on the red CC next to the quality button ^_^

  • Never do static streching before the workout or you will get injuries.

  • @tsi2568 a muay thai workout is different from weight training, derp.

  • @tsi2568 Dynamic streching before, static after??

  • @2ossy yea static will relax ur muscles so static after and dynamic before

  • @tsi2568 what exactly is a static stretch. is it like stretching with a cold muscle?

  • whats up with this cord going from his body??? He is charging electricity, just like mobile phone or what?

  • Spiderman ;DD

  • i have those shorts

  • 2:01 - 2:04 sounds really gay lol

  • i like this guy :P finally someone who seems to know what he does

  • LOL he stretches so wrong, if u bounce with ur muscle, it will even contract more lmfao so this is like the opposite of streching, btw u need to hold it waaaaaay longer, 20-40 secs minumum, a muscle like the quads doesnt relax in 4 seconds XD

  • great man!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • will this help doing high kicks

  • @fgfgfgfgfg20 yup... but it takes a while ot become flexable enough for it

  • This is pretty basic stretching tbh. It's okay, it's just you won't be kicking very high using just these stretches.

  • thechaps2.. your right.. but semi wrong in context.. muay thai is the form of martial art thai boxer is the name given to the person engaging in the discipline example.. i am a thai boxer i train in muay thai... kick boxing is different its the modern form of muay thai

  • expert village sucks alwz !!!

  • this guy has frog legs i bet he kicks like a motherfucker

  • I suppose that last stretch is also an excellent exercise.

  • i dunno what the guy said cos im to lazy to scroll down but every pro boxer would loose against an k-1 or muay thai fighter hahah boxers dunno how to block highkicks even if the highkicks hit the boxers guard he would go ko or tko after a few

  • Good routine!! mine is very similar!

  • @Drragoon: you're such a fag! did you ever saw boxer vs kickboxer muhahaha youre an idiot muay thai & kickboxing own boxing anyway -.-

  • -.-

    idiots

  • there is no need for thai boxing i´m a boxer for 5 years now and u dont need ur legs to defeat some1 fists are so much faster and if u know how to do it and dont fight for long range u dont need ur legs

  • Imagine fighting someone who train Muay Thai and has similiar experience as you have (i mean 5 years of training). You would PROBABLY be defeated.

  • cro cop would like to have a word with u

  • No pro boxer could handle a pro thai boxer or kickboxer, legs are longer and harder, since boxers don't train to take leg kicks, you wouldn't need to knock them out to win. Just cause them dead legs throughout every round '' IF'' they last even one.

  • Hahahahahahaha your funny :P Obviously your dont know your martial arts haha.

You would get your ass wooped by someone in muay thai or kick boxing haha. You and your punches wouldnt stand up against a kick to the gut or face. And your talking about close range fighting.. Trying taking some dagger like knees and elbows in close range. You'd be down and out before you'd know with a 5 inch long gash in your forehead and a few broken ribs to go along perfectly with it..

  • @iCReckless does stretching help kicking power or do u improve kick power by ab workouts?

  • @tinygangster66 Stretches will let you get up to that high kick and it will also make things smoother because you feel off balanced. When you cant stretch up for a high kick you tend to lean back so you can composite for your inability to bring your leg up that high. That can get you off balance and leaves open. If you'd want power, practice quick rotation with your hips on a punching bag and do some leg and ab workouts to get that power going. Foot placement/rotation and hip movement is the key

  • @tinygangster66 @iCReckless *Wont feel off balanced* (sorry for the typo)

  • @tinygangster66 *so you can compinsate* (sorry for the other typo)

  • LOL stfu

  • Comment removed

  • @Drragoon: a fight ALWAYS begins at long range.

also the thai clinch is a lot better than a hug.

boxing is good none the less.

  • muay thai is easy i have took it since i was 5 years old :)

  • get a room u 2 !!! :)

  • lol

  • I just tried that its ok but i know a lot more other stretches that are better lol (ESPECIALLY TAEKWONDO ONES THEY KILL.).

  • i agree i take TKD and they get your attention but i actualty like muay thai art better but TKD stretches are better lol

  • "I'm going to stretch out and make sure that my knee does not go over my toes, that would be bad for my knee. *kicks bamboo trees with shins later*" XD

  • nobody said, that the whole range of stretching techniques in muay thai is shown here. and warm up is more than just stretching,so where is the piont of comparison?

  • dude the leg warm up for karate is like 60 or more secs and is way better than that even in 10 secs it fucking kills but has some is great for getting your leg really high.

  • And in a real fight you will have time for a 30 minute warmup. Yes for sure ;]

  • I wasnt talking about having a fight and anyway when you warm up it builds up your body so the more you warm up the more stronger your going to be and anyway if i was in a fight which i have been in before then i would be using self defence. Next time you post a comment understand what i'm talking about theres no need to get mad.

  • You know you said it's better, you didn't say how, so I couldn't understand this comment. And I'm not mad :-) Also I still think Thai is better, because you know fast warmups so you can actually use them before a fight, if there is any time.

  • Well i know self defense and its proved me great i know some thai boxing but i'm still not sure if thai boxing is mainly power because my self defense techniques always injure the opponent by breaking bones and some killing them. So anyway at least knowing thai boxing is better than knowing anything at all. I got my leg really high and can almost do a full split in just a month because thats how great my warmups are. See ya later anyway end of argument lol!

  • Also you dont have to warm up as much after a couple of months because the these warm ups are mainly getting your leg high. My self defense is a mix of mma karate taekwondo kickboxing. Knowing a couple is better than knowing one lol :)

  • +1 loll

  • Hahahaha I'd love to see an 8-dan Karate expert take on Master Sken. Hmmmm wonder who'd win...?

Muay Thai is generally the most hardcore of martial arts, Karate is full of pattern-work and ranking.

    MUAY THAI FOR THE WIN

  • Karate is basically self defense dude and anyway i dont care which one is best at least i know karate lol!

  • Yeah man but I'm just saying, compare the two, aspect for aspect, and Muay Thai generally comes out on top in effectiveness, all respect for you knowing Karate, seriously man Martial Arts thanks you for it!

  • I used to love thai boxing but i just took on karate cause it was self defense and the karate i do has some thai in it like we have the lifting the knee up to block kicks the front kick(mae geri) also kicking someones upper leg when they are going to kick you. I lost my 6 pack cause i stopped working out :( starting it again now.

  • Good to hear dude, it's always refreshing when you hear certain Martial Arts are adapting and evolving, it means they are still thriving and making people passion about it. Keep at it bud.

  • Yh i will. I just want my abs back even though i look skinny, underneath my dress used to be a six pack lol. Thats why people shouldn't underestimate me because i popped a guys eye and knocked him out because he thought i was a weakling. I work on my knuckles a lot so they are very hard even if i backhand slap someone lol!

  • Haha don't take shit from anybody! I'm the same really, especially over Christmas I've definitely got some work to do on the old six-pack ha. Plus I really need to start stretching again, I'm 20 and feeling no spring-chicken...

  • haha, lol im only 13 dude. Amazing isnt it lol. See ya later.

  • Haha you've got all the time in the world! Seeya dude.

  • i have taken a year of karate and then i took muay thai and i never went back to the karate dojo ever again lol

  • Lol well it depends what karate you do because kyokushin karate is mixed up with thai boxingand other styles. Anyway i do kyokushin karate and i love it. I still love Thai boxing.

  • i took something like she toe rou karate i cant realy even pronouce it but yah it sucked realy bad

  • What you need to do is do some research and the one that expires you the most you do, you follow your martial arts dream. What i did and i'm 13 and i have a 6 pack because of it. See ya later!

  • lol yah im takeing tae kwon doe now because the muay thai gym closed :(

TKD is ok but the teach useless punches, kick are sweet though so thats a :)

  • lololololol. My teacher is like the awesomest sensai ever apart from when he comes from behind and slaps you on the stomach (This is soppose to toughen me up by the way and make my stomach harder). Hurts less every time :)

  • @clokedbigman

¨Karate is some shit.. in one year i go to taekwondo ? it was great but is was not dirty anought... i want kick at the face and punch at the face... but still? taekwondo is better that Karate..

  • These things are veeery good to do, when you do it, as you kick your low/high kicks you will feel the power!!

  • There the same thing lol ! muay thai is the traditional thai name for it, thai boxing is just the western name for it

  • OSS

  • today was my first class of kick boxing in school.. (my principal is a black belt :| ) Anyways, we did these stretches except for that split thing.. we did many other thngs too. it was brutal & now my body hurts. woo (:

  • Thai Boxing is Muay Thai.....There is just two different names used for it

  • @thechaps2 Muay means boxing in thai so its actually the same thing but in a different language.

  • @thechaps2 sok muay is boxing , muay thai mean is a art of weapon get itright

  • @sunlove24 Muay Thai means "freedom fight" or something like that. Muay means fight, Thai means freedom. You should get it right.

  • @whereshitrise90 actually Muay is thai for "boxing", so muay thai literally translates as "Thai style boxing" or "thai boxing"

  • @sunlove24 nah "muay thai' translates in thailand language whatever it is it means 'thai boxing' these are just 2 different names for it. like car and automobile there the same thing bust just a different name

  • @thechaps2 yeah muay thai means thaiboxing directly

  • @thechaps2 there is a big difference, Muay thai is a style that's way more brutal than boxing , it's really ment just to spill blood, and even those who teach that style 98% of em teach em to show no mercy and just strike. meaning less defending and rush in for an attack. Boxing is well... i would pick boxing over muay thai any day.

  • @thechaps2 Muay thai Means Thai boxing in Thailand.

  • @thechaps2 Are u wrong, Thai boxing it's for lammers, Muay thai it's the traditional martial art, it's same boxing than chinesse boxing? no right? , shut up the fuvck off nab!

  • @thechaps2 no not really thaiboxing looks more like kickboxing... and muay thai is a fight till death:p

  • @streetfiter1 thai boxing is muay thai who told u thai boxing is kickboxing? thai boxing is a just a different name for muay thai dude

  • @IMuayThaiFighter yeah but here in holland not because even with thaiboxing u cant clinch and kickboxing also not... so there is almost no difference... muay thai is the original here.. can practice it at age of 14.. can compete at age of 18

  • @thechaps2 thats not true there are some different things ;)

  • yes it is they are the same u spazzo

  • Not bad but its bad form to 'bounce' into a stretch.

  • I dont think so... its a ballistic stretch as opposed to the static stretches your used to

  • This stretch beats any stretch i done in high school

  • @HCadrenaline u fool all excercise move come from muay

  • BAM LOL....sooo about my comment on top i should ignore this...:P

  • does anyone know is it good to do martial arts with an injure knee ? i injured my left in basketball

so i was wondering is it good..the injury is not serious like nothing torn thank god but small sprain and the cartilage is unknown condition

soooo any advice is more than welcomed and go ahead msg me anytime

    thanks

  • no...its not good to train with an injury my friend...not unless you want to make it worse than it is.. take time out from the basketball too...too much impact on the knee will cause more swelling around the cartilage. Its difficult to stop when you love it so much but if you want to enjoy both activities LONG TERM, take some SHORT TIME NOW. good luck. you can keep up some gentle stretching though.

  • guys check out my video, i could do with some advice or tips, thanks.

  • if he stood diagonally on that platform he probably would have had enough room to do the splits.

  • thats what I was thinking too :P

  • Guess you guys never fight or even train so keep your stupid comments and stop nolifing behind the computer ;)

  • Well Said Dadragon1983 :D

    *high five*

  • ok nice bro

  • 1:51 "If I had the room right now, I could actually go to a full split" Dude, you're outside, how much more "room" do you need? Personally I find "expertvillage" videos anything but expert and I've seen a lot of videos on YouTube, the videos always lack essential details. This video wasn't too bad though, I use the same stretching techniques but I always make sure I have room :P

  • That's So true! 99% of the time I've never heard of the "expert" before.

  • I have to say ur right...ive watched these guys' videos and they suspiciously lack some fundamentals...Some mistakes and some moves that are just plain wrong!!I saw their round house low kick and i was telln myself..."Uuuum okkkkaaay????"

  • Hilarious.

  • wtf hes getting a hardon

  • A video about stretching and you specifically eye the dudes groin? Hmmm

It's not a hardon, it's teh shorts he's wearing, the logo is a thick patch, most Muay Thai shorts are like that, especially when new.

  • Comment removed

  • why is he bouncing? he doesnt know what he chattin about. stenching isnt warming up, suppose to warm up before you stretch

  • indeed in gymnastics and also wen i did kung fu we alwaus did like a couple of laps around the gym to get the blood flowing and ya body warmed up...then we did stretching from the ankles etc...but him sayin having his knee over his toe is bad it makes the stretch better coz ya stretching out the calv muscle wich gives most ya ballance whilst fighting gets ya rythm going etc....

  • what a load ov ol' shite

  • The best way is to use two or one chair. (I am saying one "chair" because what ultimately matters is the lower movement you can do to train the flexibility. So one leg can be on the ground, the other should be a bit higher up)

I learned it within a few weeks where I forced myself to do it more and more, and then when I could almost do the splits I realized I didnt need more, so in a few days I could do it.

  • these are the same stretches you do for taekwondo

  • get out of here man you are grose

  • i can do all of those stretch's but, the splits are sort of hard. Do i need to go all the way down or just get a good spacing and do it a bit longer?

  • hi, can i ask your help!

i am very athletic and play alot of sports but somehow i am VERY STIFF and UNFLEXIBLE... I cannot even do these stretches..

i am now planning on taking up muay thai. I plan to start joining a dojo in about 4-6 weeks. (due to injury)

i need to dramatically improve my flexibility, can you advise me on a good daily routine? (maybe a website, if you know any)

i want to be fully ready and prepared when i start training. Hope you can help

    many thanks! great vids =]

  • FYI: Muay Thai gyms aren't called dojos. Just do regular stretches everyday, get a routine going.

  • You should do YOGA. I do Yoga once a week. It's part of my work out. You'll be surprised on how flexible you can get just after a few weeks.

I do Yoga from the p90x program.

  • tan lines lol

  • i have a question, i practice Shotokan karate and I was wondering if there's an effective way of loosening your hip, because the lack of mobility i have in my hip prevents me from doing a REALLY GOOD roundhouse kick to the head

  • umm, wot i do, its gonna be kinda hard to explain butt ill try.

Sit on your but, stick on leg out infront and keep it straight, then grab the ankle of the other foot and try and pull it behind you so one leg is forward and another is in a bent positiong (knee at right angle to front leg) and ankle trying to touch your butt, then once in that positiong (if u can get into it) slowly lean onto the knee so trying to get it flatter on the ground, then u can try n straighten that leginto frontsplit

  • god that felt good

  • heh too true i feel that my legs have gotten even lighter and i can do anything with them :P

  • the paaaaaain!!!!!

  • what a wire connected to you? is it mic? not bad technics but I guess it was obviously so go ahead and teach me some new!

  • do you have eny parrots?

  • does somebody know the name of the thai figther in the vid?

  • now i can stretch properly.

  • Interesting stretches.

  • omg try fencing for a month. Than you can learn how to strech perfectly.

  • well it looks like you just wasted ur time watching this then! xD why watch it if thats gonna come to conclusion if u wanan go read some manual then go ahead and dont tell the world because we dont wanan know, ok pumpkin ^_^

  • Hey bro awsome stretching videos I really appretiate your time and effort. But I could use more tips on the round kicks. Thanks again.

  • whats the hardest part for you?

  • the key to perfect roundhouse kicks is flexibility and leg strength. Stretching exercises are pivotal to perfecting roundhouses. Bag work will improve power of kicks.

  • why??

  • U ARE MORE THEN A IDIOT

  • Hey thanks a lot for making this video. I train in martial arts and have been having some trouble with my kicks because my legs aren't very flexible, but I'm sure the stretches you show in this video will help a lot. Thanks! Great video too, very good quality.

  • Thx, good video, pls more videos :D Youtube make ma k1 fighter :D

  • thanks for the tips now i can stretch perfectly thank you""""
