There is nothing funny about cancer. my grandmother passed away from it. and my father in law might not live long enough to meet his grandchild because of cancer. and just because you say no offense doesnt mean your comment isnt goin to offend people.

I always told myself, I'm so so so lucky that absolutely none of my family members have had cancer. Until about two years ago, my aunt got it, she hasn't been the same since. & Then, my grandpa, he has cancer in his brain, kidney, lungs and in his spine. He is my best friend, he is my grandpa, my grumpy the midnight man, he's more of a father to me then my real "dad". This song gets me every time. I first heard this song exactly one week before my daughter was diagnosed with cancer, the doctors thought everything was fine because her blood test were normal. I told her she had to hear it and she first heard it the day she was diagnosed. As you can imagine we all cried. She was sixteen and lost her hair just before her homecoming dance. I am so grateful for her supportive friends and school.

I remember when the vet took Murphy out in a bag his eyes fell open a little. They were so lifeless and dark. I couldn't look. This makes me think of him.
This almost perfectly describes what happened to my cousin about 12 years ago and we lost her to cancer about 10 years ago. It was this day exactly we found out she had it and her bf at the time did this almost exact thing. I can't help but cry when I hear this song.

my best friend, my cousin. She was the most amazing person i ever knew when she was 7 she was diagnosed with leukemia i was 9. I went to see her every weekend at the hospital i loved her we were like peas and carrots best friends. I remember the last time i seen her when i was 11 i remember giving her that last hug and telling her bye i love you for the last time at age 9 the cancer killed my best friend i still think of her everyday i miss you madeline.....
When the boy takes off his hat, I always remember when one of my best friends shaved his head for me. They were having a cancer-awareness thing at school nd kids could shave their heads, right in the cafeteria during lunch hour nd a few of my friends did that for me. This truly is a beautiful song. The lyrics just touch my heart. It reminds me of my father, he passed away in May 2009, on cancer. My father had 8 kids including myself, and he spend 6 months at the hospital. 6 months that he had left to live, and i can proudly say that the whole family spent every day and night with him at the hospital. I always told myself, I'm so so so lucky that absolutely none of my family members have had cancer. Until about two years ago, my aunt got it, she hasn't been the same since. & Then, my grandpa, he has cancer in his brain, kidney, lungs and in his spine. He is my best friend, he is my grandpa, my grumpy the midnight man, he's more of a father to me then my real "dad". This song gets me every time. All my grandpa wants is to be healthy, and to be able to ride his Harley. That's all he wants <3

i cry sometimes about how unfair is life. My aunt has terminal cancer, doctors say there's nothing to do, she can die any day but she wants to live so bad, she's a fighter, my inspiration. I hate myself for thinking of suicide when i think things wont get any better, but while i'm being selfish someone out there, somewhere wants to live, my aunt wants to live, sometimes i wish i could gift her my life, so she can live a lil bit more, i wish i can do something, i wish i could save her.

I first heard this song exactly one week before my daughter was diagnosed with cancer, the doctors thought everything was fine because her blood test were normal. I told her she had to hear it and she first heard it the day she was diagnosed. As you can imagine we all cried. She was sixteen and lost her hair just before her homecoming dance. I am so grateful for her supportive friends and school.

My sister died of leukemia when I was 8. She died at exactly noon, one minute after my little sister was born. This song kills me but listening to it is a really great therapy. My dog died of leukemia. At first he was fine but then he couldn't breathe, wouldn't eat, and soon he couldn't move his back legs. One day we loaded him in the car. I sat in the front seat and my brother sat in the back. The vet came out and put him to sleep in the car. I had never seen my brother cry before, but he did right then and there. I remember when the vet took Murphy out in a bag his eyes fell open a little. They were so lifeless and dark. I couldn't look. This makes me think of him.

my best friend, my cousin. She was the most amazing person i ever knew when she was 7 she was diagnosed with leukemia i was 9. I went to see her every weekend at the hospital i loved her we were like peas and carrots best friends. I remember the last time i seen her when i was 11 i remember giving her that last hug and telling her bye i love you for the last time at age 9 the cancer killed my best friend i still think of her everyday i miss you madeline.....

When the boy takes off his hat, I always remember when one of my best friends shaved his head for me. They were having a cancer-awareness thing at school nd kids could shave their heads, right in the cafeteria during lunch hour nd a few of my friends did that for me. It made me cry, mostly when they came up to me nd said they were like me. My best friend nd me fought together, nd then she just passed away November 29th, 2011. I miss you baby girl, if it comes back, I will fight in honor of you<3

This truly is a beautiful song. The lyrics just touch my heart. It reminds me of my father, he passed away in May 2009, on cancer. My father had 8 kids including myself, and he spend 6 months at the hospital. 6 months that he had left to live, and i can proudly say that the whole family spent every day and night with him at the hospital. We gave him anything & everything that he wanted to eat. My father had one of the most peaceful deaths, surrounded by us all. I love you daddy!! <3 -Epi Cruz
